Patrick chuckled softly. "Yeah, we are just pulling your leg, man. Although, I love being able to do that to you. I'm glad you're game though. Honestly, I can't really picture you as Santa. I think that I should do it. But, I do want you to be involved. Let's face it, General Hospital wouldn't even be here today if you didn't buy it a few years ago. While you may not work at the hospital, you are the owner." He took a sip of his water. "You mentioned about continuing the tradition of reading the Christmas Story. I think you're the perfect person to continue that tradition. Steve Hardy did it then when he passed away, Alan did it then when we all thought he died, Monica did it. Now with her retired, I would do it, but me being Santa is more fun. Therefore, you are the perfect person. What do you say?"
Jason chuckled when he heard what Alexis said about Jason. "You're probably right." He looked at Patrick. "Guess, I better start working on my ho-ho-ho."
Alexis couldn't help, but to giggle, when she heard Jason. "Oh, go on, Jason. If you don't, there might by a 4 year old Santa, in your place." She, giggled again.
Jason smiled softly when he heard Patrick. He looked at Alan then looked at Patrick and saw the smirk on his face. "Oh no. Don't even think about it. There is no way I'm dressing up as Santa Claus. I'll carry on the tradition of reading the Christmas Story but I'm not dressing up as Santa."
Patrick smiled at them. He stood up. "Thank you for the kind words, Jason. It really means a lot to me. Before I came to Port Charles in 2005, I kept going from hospital to hospital. I just never felt that I belonged. Until, I came here. Yes, I was brought here to save Jason's life. Then, the more I worked at General Hospital, the more I realized, this is where I was meant to be. With all the hospitals I worked in, I never experienced the camadrie that I do here. Not to mention, I had the honor of working with and learning from the best. Alan Quartermaine, Monica Quartermaine, Tony Jones, my father, Noah. It's also a family." He looked at Alan. "Alan, I promise you the hospital is in good hands with me." He turned to Jason. "One of my first orders as Chief is the Annual Christmas Party." He smirked.
Dylan leaned in as he heard Courtney whisper to him and smiled. "Completely normal reaction. I can see you doing that with our kids." He smiled at her.
Patrick gave her a soft smile. "There is no need to apologize, Mom. You're just very happy and excited about your son's new accomplishment. Like any mother would be. Nothing at all wrong with that."
Patrick smiled softly after hearing Jason's toast. Before he could respond, he felt Jill's hug and hugged her back a little bit tighter. He chuckled softly when he heard her and hugged her back again. "Thank you, Mom."
