Backstory
The family's tragedy...
After the killing
of her family, Giadadea fully recovered from her almost fatal wounds with the
aid of a man named Leopold who had taken her into his home promising her father
that he'd take care of his family if anything should happen to him. He did his
best to raise Giadadea and warned her that her name was to be changed in order
to stay out of the slayers' radar. They would not stop hunting the family down
if they knew there were survivors. As far as he and Giadadea knew, she was the
only one to survive. This made Giadadea very sad and disconnected to
everything. She had seen her parents killed in front of her very eyes and her
last recollection of her dearest brother was of him running away telling her to
do the same thing. She had done as told and ran to her chambers thinking the
window would be the safest way out now, but little did she know that a slayer
was waiting in her room where she would be attacked and left for dead. Leopold
managed to get her out but saw no other survivors. His friends were dead; their
son was nowhere to be found and was assumed to be dead as well. There was
nothing left but Giadadea.
He raised her as if
she were his own and taught her a few things about being discrete and staying
safe. He also taught her to manage some of her special abilities unaware of the
rest as they would not reveal themselves, until years later. She was only
sixteen when the slayers tracked Leopold down killing him while she was away.
Not knowing of this, she falls into a trap when she comes home and is heavily
sedated to the point of blacking out for a few days. When she woke up, she was
in a dark cell somewhere underground. She was kept locked up as they watched
her, watched her driven into insanity and bloodlust with thirst. Their
goal was to watch her slowly die but she wouldn't. She had gone days,
weeks, without feeding and had only grown more violent and insane losing
anything that resembled a human within her. They didn't know she was feeding
off the mice that would make the mistake of slipping into her cell, nor did
they know that she was more than a vampire.
Eventually the
slayers gave up on watching her being incoherent and decide to let her feed on
an ex slayer that had betrayed the small fraternity of Master slayers. They
tossed him into her cell letting him fend for himself with the blood thirsty
Giadadea.
The heart of Jade...
His name was
Damiano. He was thrown into her cell as prey for her to feed on, but Giadadea
did not feed on him. She stayed in her corner of the cell staring at him with
intensified pitch black eyes sitting completely still like a perched
gargoyle. He stood his ground to her staying in the middle of the cell
prepared to fight her off if she did attack; after all he had been a slayer.
Giadadea was so gone to the world she didn't even have the right mind to feed from
Damiano. The staring contest lasted days until Damiano could not bear to
stay awake any longer backing into a corner opposite Giadadea closing his eyes
for a brief slumber. When he woke and opened his eyes, he was confronted with
her onyx hued eyes only a few inches away from him as she crouched over him
with a grin and her fangs well exposed lightly piercing her soft bottom lip.
Giadadea had him. She had him right where she would want him if she had intended
to hurt him, but that was not the case. This left Damiano confused as he looked
upon her. Giadadea softens her grin into a smile, a blank smile, but a smile
nonetheless as she slowly backs away from him releasing him from the deadly
position she had him in. There was a lot of silence between them until he broke
the ice and began asking her questions, the first being why she hadn't killed
him when she had the chance. Giadadea did not answer him until the very next
day. Her answer, ""Something about you will not allow it."
With that, began
one conversation after another. Giadadea never spoke about her family or her
past, as she did not remember anymore. She didn't even know who she was, not
even her name. He was the one that did most of the talking anyway telling her
stories about his past, about the slayers. He'd given away their secrets to
her, something the slayers would find out later and would make him pay for. Giadadea
had grown fond of Damiano and would eventually fall in love with him. He didn't
see her as a vampire anymore, but as a friend. She gave him an oath that she would
never turn him or taste his blood. Their bond was more than that and they fell
in love as they grew closer within the year they were in their cell together.
His health was slowly deteriorating from the lack of nutrients though, and
there was nothing Giadadea could do but offer him her blood to keep him alive,
not that her blood did much as she was not feeding too often other than on the
mice. It pained Giadadea to see her love slowly dying before her. The slayers
kept a close eye on them and would start overhearing their conversations,
finding out that the traitor was telling their secrets to the blood sucker.
They decide to feed Damiano actual food to get him back to health in order to
“talk” to him telling him they were taking into consideration letting him come
back as a slayer. Damiano eats his food with no intention to join them ever
again but little did he know his food was poisoned. Giadadea was in a state of hypnagogia (half asleep/awake) when
all this happened, and would be the biggest regret
she would ever have.
Damiano gets sick
quickly and would meet his end within hours. Giadadea stays at his side
holding him in her arms rocking him back and forth. She was quickly losing him
and there was nothing she could do. Well, there was one thing, she could have
turned him, but she had made an oath to him and to herself. Even as he
was struggling to open his eyes and breathe, he held her hand looking up at her
whenever he could manage to open his eyes at the slightest. His words were soft
and barely audible to anyone but her as he declared his love for her one last
time giving her his ring. A ring with a promise that he had given himself so
many years ago that he would not die without knowing love first. Now that he
had found it, he was prepared to die in the arms of his beloved Giadadea, or as
he had named her his precious Jade, the color of her natural bright green
colored eyes. She struggled watching him as he closes his eyes one last
time and takes his last breath dying and leaving her all alone. She was all
alone, again. Something triggers within her. The grief she was feeling turned
into anger and pure hatred, and her eyes the pitch black onyx hue. The slayers
had taken the man she loved away from her. This meant war, and a war was what
she got although it was a short one as she slaughters them all at the first
chance she got. They had awoken one of Giadadea’s abilities that night, her
other self, Jade.
A Revelation...
Jade avenged the
death of her beloved Damiano and was set free starting out a new life once
again. She still did not recall her birth name. She had had amnesia all this
time and the only person she knew was now dead. Her anger was still at its peak
and she no longer knew the difference between right and wrong. She was very
violent and would never allow anyone to get close to her ever again. She went
by the name Jade Stone and made her way to the United States under that alias.
Though she was not mentally stable, she could play off a sane human quite well
when it suited her. She began going to schools getting an education and taking
a career in many fields throughout the centuries as they passed on. Along the
way, she began to remember bits and pieces of her past. She remembered how her
family was killed by the Master slayers. She remembered her childhood, her
dearest brother whom she was so close to. He was the one she missed the most,
not that she didn't miss her parents, but her parents were never really around.
Her bond was strongest with her brother and she yearned for his companionship.
The only problem was, she didn't remember his name. That alone tore another
crack in her shattering heart. The slayers had taken everyone and everything
away from her. She vowed she would avenge her loved ones slaying them all, ridding
the world of those who wrongfully killed. She detested slayers with a passion
and would hold no remorse when taking one out when confronted by one. She
tried to live a normal life, or what she thought to be a normal life, not
knowing what else to do with herself but go to school and work. She had been
spotted one night by a small group of vampires that had formed an alliance
within covens to bring down the slayers and their operations. She was trained
by them making her a very dangerous foe. Not only with the training was
she now dangerous, but the fact that her abilities were starting to reveal
themselves to her, added a significance to it. She kept her abilities hidden
from the rest of the vampires and soon becomes bored with their inferiority compared
to her. She left the alliance and had gone off on her own training in
different fighting disciplines and continuing with her search for peace, and
her stability. She was still insane, clearly, unless around humans, which she
found easy to fool.
She changed
her name again and was known as Giada Summers. Her life until now had
been an on and off switch between sanity and insanity, and anger and serenity.
That was until she relapses into full insanity between Giada and Jade…
