Origens

Moira was one of the first Angels created by the Traveler and loved the Angels from the start. She practiced diligently, hoping one day to protect the Angels with her own strength and keep them away from wars. The Traveler was moved by Asherah's determination and granted the Eyes of the Apocalypse, a very important relic that contains the power to save the Angels, to Moira. The Traveler told Moira that she must use it to protect the peace and purity of the Angels. Moira has been guarding Elysia since the Traveler left, and always led the charge to repel invaders.

Queen Of Angels Moira, the Angel of the Apocalypse, is a most peculiar Angel. It’s not that her wings are sharp like a sword, nor is it because she is one of the Nine Divine - the most powerful Angels. It is due to her unique eyes. The Eyes of the Apocalypse! Apart from Moira herself, no one knows why the wayfarer who created the Angels bestowed upon her these eyes, but they are the reason why she is one of the most powerful Angels. The Angels optimistically believed that as long as this pair of eyes exist, the Angels would be invincible. However, after the beginning of the Thousand-year War, this optimism was completely shattered. After the Titan armies had assaulted them like tidal waves for hundreds of years, the Angels were pushed back further and further. Moira remembers it clearly when she prayed she would obtain Athena’s strength, the wayfarer Clarice bestowed upon her the Eyes of the Apocalypse, and told her: “The day of Angel's demise is near, it is the day when the Eyes of the Apocalypse open.” Seeing one companion after another fall to the Titan cavalry assaulting the Star of Elysia, she felt that the time was ripe. So she opened her eyes, the Eyes of the Apocalypse! Angels and Titans alike felt the immense power of the eyes. Wherever her gaze fell, Angels suddenly became empowered. Glacia was able to summon icicles the size of mountains, Mikaela’s fires painted the sky red and Tempara was able to envelop one-third of the planet in furious hurricanes. The Eyes of the Apocalypse enabled the other Angels to surpass their limits, turning them into powerful fighting machines. “Our victory is certain!” Moira felt completely confident that her eyes would bring victory. However, the Titans, who were also a creation of the wayfarer, wouldn’t accept defeat so easily. Even after being empowered, the Angels weren’t able to drive back the entire Titan army in such a short amount of time. The Angels ceaselessly annihilated Titan soldiers, but it seemed as if the vast Titan army would never diminish. After a time, Glacia’s icicles became smaller and smaller, Mikaela’s fires no longer lit up the sky, and Tempera couldn’t even manifest an ordinary cyclone. Being strengthened by the Eyes of the Apocalypse came with a hefty price, Angel’s vitality, and life force. With their last breaths, Glacia, Mikaela, and Tempara summoned a wall of ice and fire, which temporarily blocked the Titan army and gave the Angels a chance to catch their breath. However, these three Angels perished, their souls leaving their bodies forever. After the battle, Moira's eyes got a new nickname. Those who feared her and her Eyes of the Apocalypse named them ‘the Gaze of Death’. As for the Angels themselves, they held different opinions and argued over whether they should be used. Asherah thought that it was currently the only way to stem the Titan's assault; Isabel, the commander in chief, was of the idea that the empowerment was like drinking poison to quench thirst and would only result in the Angels destroying themselves. However, the Titan's offense grew fiercer still, so the wall of ice and fire wouldn’t be able to withstand for long. Their third defensive line had failed, and many Angels lost their lives. Moira thought that if the fighting continued, it would result in many meaningless deaths. So, with the support of Asherah, Moira herself lead the last line of defense for the Star of Elysia. During this time, she empowered many Angels with her eyes. While managing to stall for time and temporarily putting a stop to the Titan's offense, the Angels whom Moira’s eyes enhanced died one after another. When they had pushed them back to the second line of defense, Moira tried to persuade herself that this was just a small and necessary sacrifice in return for the life of many. Having used the Eyes of the Apocalypse for a hundred years, the last line of defense crumbled as there were simply not enough Angels to hold it. This last defeat was the Angel's biggest and most disastrous in the entire Thousand-year War. Out of those who had partaken in the war, not a tenth had survived, and at least half of the dead had fallen due to the Eyes of the Apocalypse. In light of this, Angels began to leave the Star of Elysia to avoid the Gaze of Death. Having lost the war, Moira began to question her decision. “The Eyes of the Apocalypse lead the Angels to their death; Angels also fell at the hands of the enemy.” She couldn’t find any difference between the two. It almost seemed as if more Angels had fallen to her eyes than had fallen to the Titans. She began to think that the Eyes of the Apocalypse weren’t a gift from the wanderer, but rather the reverse, a punishment for Moira’s abuse of power. When she thought of the warrior Athena, she finally realized her own childish stubbornness, “She had believed she was protecting the Angels, but all she had done was to hurt her sisters.” In the end, they lost the Thousand-year War. The Angels had suffered a monstrous defeat and the casualties were heavy. Even though no one blamed Moira, she felt responsible. She resolutely resigned as a candidate for Asherah and sealed away her Eyes of the Apocalypse. It had come to pass as the wanderer had said when she was bestowed with these eyes, and Moira, the Angel of the Apocalypse, resolved to never again let the Angels witness such death and destruction. But this time she wouldn’t rely on gifts from the gods, she would rely on her own strength to lead the Angels to glory. And when that happens, the glory would belong to the Angels alone.
