Ayame once was slave to a fire demon. She saved the young fire demon from death and followed him, becoming his slave. Ayame was always afraid of the fire demon, afraid he would hurt her, afraid to anger him and always stuttered while near anyone. The fire demon, wanting to do what what humans did, enrolled both him and Ayame in school. While at school Ayame and the fire demon had trouble with other students and vampires. After many fights between Ayame the fire demon vampires and wolves, the fire demon abandons Ayame after she leaves him to fight a group of wolves alone, her fear getting in the way. Years pass before Ayame sees the fire demon again, but for the fire demon decades had past. Ayame was sent to the future by a man wanting to kill the fire demon, with the help of the fire demon and his queen the man was killed and Ayame stays with the fire demon, becoming his slave again. The fire demon trains Ayame to be an assassin and to fight, to no longer be afraid, something that was hard for Ayame to stop. Then one day, the fire demon disappears, leaving Ayame confused as to where to go or what to do.

Ayame stays with her master, the fire demons queen for a short time after his disappearance, waiting for him to return. When he doesn′t Ayame couldnt stay with the queen any longer, it was her fault he left after all. If the queen hadnt tried to change the fire demon so much he would have stayed with them. Sneaking away in the middle of the night Ayame leaves to find the fire demon, wanting to know why he left her and let her help him in what ever he was doing. After searching for a long time Ayame found no clues as to where the fire demon could be and decides to take what he taught her, becoming the assassin he wanted her to be, using her rage and anger to gain her more power. She begins to take odd jobs here and there to make money, killing those she was payed to kill and moved on to another job, while still searching for the fire demon. After a bad assignment Ayame decided to go see a few old faces.
