The waking of titains,Nereus & Doris

The day the Titans lost the war Nereus woke to a empty bed. Something not uncommon due to Doris liking to watch the sun rise over the waters of Aegean Sea. He rolled over and his head settled on a note and his head leaned up to look at the note. Which read. I have your wife and one of your daughters Gala. -Zeus Springing from his bed he quickly dressed in his armor and held his trident in his hands and traveled to Mount Olympus in a shade of silver light. Rage is what he felt as he screamed for Zeus repeatedly until Zeus showed his face. Nereus lifted his trident up ready to toss it at his head but Zeus yanked two chains that pulled out into view of his wife and child. Zeus had them chained up like dogs. Nereus screamed in anger which caused the heavens to open and start to pour rain as the wind swirled around them. Zeus held up a hand. "They will be free to go only if you promise not to fight today." Nereus growled out holding the trident so hard he felt the steel bend indents in where his fingers laid. He looked into the eyes of his daughter Gala she had large eyes and he knew she was crying. He looked up at his wife Doris and she too looked like she had been crying and he nodded to her but silently answering Zeus with his nod as he dropped his silver trident. He took to his knees and he felt the chains on his wrists, feet and the bit that was put into his mouth to silent him. When he took to his knees the skies cleared and the wind died down. Zeus let Gala and Doris both go but they stood to the side both watching in fear as Zeus moved closer to Nereus. "I want you to know. I always win." The smirk on Zeus's face had his eyes move to his wife as he watched a man behind her hit her over the back of the head and turned her into stone. Trying to struggle out of the chains screaming through the bit as he watched Gala run towards him. But Zeus grabbed her by her shoulder and he leaned down to whisper in her ear and she fell into his arms. "Just a sleep spell. I will have her memory wiped of this day but as for you and your wife you shall be stone until the end of days both knowing how you where the down fall of your family." and with that Nereus felt his body turn to stone.

Both Nereus and Doris have been stone for over thousands of years. Both alert but never speaking.

Sighing Nereus looked down at his wife his head tilted to the side as she said no. He was about to speak when he heard someone call mother and father. He looked over to the side to see people standing there for the first time. Poseidon standing next to a woman and he tilted his head to the side trying to figure out whom the woman was. It was the eyes that gave him the clue. "Gala?"

"No," was the first reaction from her and another shake of her head. It wasn't so clear and dry as all of that after all and she had a very very Lon time to think on that between missing her children and him and home and simply being able to move. "Zeus is obviously to blame. But as this was a result of your favorite past time it's not so shocking we ended up here."

His eyes narrowed as he listened to his wife speak taking in a few more deep breathes it still feeling foreign to him. "So you blame me for all this?" he waved his hand between them and the stone pieces on the floor.

There was a smile, it wasn't soft or even very kind in her mind but it was quick and natural to her as she heard his question. Shaking her head she spoke for the first time, after clearin her throat, feeling like it was so strange to be speaking again. "Well that my love was for inspiring our great capture and ultimate imprisonment. You weren't so skilled in making friends." But with the first burst of anger out if her she felt slightly more relaxed. And now let the happiness at being free totally overtake her.

Poseidon looked on with raised brows at the exchange between them.

Nereus didn't know what was happening he heard voices but the voices through the years all sounded to mumbled and jumbled for him to understand until he heard a woman call him father. He felt the stone burst off him his lung taking in fresh air and when he opened his eyes he looked beside him to see his wife standing there and he was about to press his lips to hers like he dreamed of many times over the thousands of years of being stone. But he saw her face and he didn't see her hand until it slapped him across the face. Shocked he raised his hand to his cheek and he looked at her. "What the hell was that for?" he growled out.

A millennia locked in place was enough to drive anyone mad. But more then one and it was a wonder the second stone shattered two figured foaming at the mouth didn't emerge. Still it was tied for the single most painful and satisfying experience of her life. When voices had started that day Doris knew something was different. To be aware for so long bu unable to move she had become an expert of zoning out, focusing on the white noise because single snatches of words only drove her mad with wanting to know what more could be said and never getting the chance. There was an instant of relief, when she realized that she could feel air, rolling against her skin, droplets of water were almost suspended in air around where they stood and she was taking in ever detail in rapid time. And there he was, her husband who she had been snatched to anger and imprisoned for his punishment. There wasnt a thought process or plan worked out, she simply took a step to bridge the space, pulled her hand back and let it strike across his cheek, leaving a stinging in her palm.

Poseidon shook his head watching as she started to cry. "No. I didn't know they where here. I knew of this place but Zeus had it under lock and key. I just figured when he fled this place would be open to look in." he watched as she spoke to her father and his hand landed on her shoulder. "That is why I am here to undo it." he spoke moving his hand to her elbow so she could move back some. "History has a way of lying so make Zeus look much better then he ever deserves." Poseidon spoke and he held up his hands blue light poured from his hands and water puddled at their feet as the water engulfed Gala's parents and he closed his eyes as the light became to bright as the stone broke away from their bodies and the water helped keep the stone pieces so they didn't fling all over the place. Poseidon moved his hands down to his sides and the water sprayed against the stone floor as both Nereus and Doris stood no longer encased in stone.

Poseidon looked over his shoulder when he heard someone coming up behind him. "They say they can see and hear their surroundings." he spoke to Gala and he moved so she could see her parents better.

Poseidon knew of titans his brother Zeus kept in the dungeons under his castle in mount Olympus. With the recent war and his saving Gala but losing someone close to her family he thought of something so he took a peice of paper from his desk to write a letter to Gala.

Gala,
I know of a place where Zeus has kept Titans for many years. With him not in his castle I am going to go see if your parents are among them since I believe you blame me for my nephews death mere days ago. I hope some how this will bridge a gap between us and you could see that I am not the god I used too be. If you wish to meet me in mount Olympus in Zeus's dungeon to look to see if your parents are indeed there you are welcome to join me.

-Poseidon

With that he flicked his wrist and the note left in blue light to where Gala was and he closed his eyes and went to his brother's castle. It was eerie quiet as he entered the doors to the place. finding the stairs to the dungeon proved to be more tricky and he walked slowly down the steep steps as his eyes adjusted to the dark light. Many cells lined the walls and he could see many in the cells wondering if he should let them out now but his main concern was finding Gala's parents. He stopped upon the room of statues and he tilted his head seeing Gala's mother Doris his eyes moved to beside her and he noticed Nereus.
