The Eloping of Karma from Tak and Damian from Yggdrasil Kingdom Category: Uncategorized
If there was one thing Damian learned from his father it was that when
your in love you have to follow your heart. His father didn′t know his
mother long before he popped the question and they ran off to Vegas to
elope and looked how well that worked out for them. Damian had met Karma
at the Christmas Ball his family had thrown and they became
inseparable.
He found himself less focused on the monster he had become and more
focused on her and how she made him feel. She didn′t see darkness in him
that he had known most of his life she saw the light in him. They would
spend hours and hours talking about nonsense even about his time
growing up in the vast wastelands where he never talked about that to
anyone.
He would read to her when he thought she grew bored of his stories
because he loved the library in his kingdom. Often his sister would sit
with them while he read because Eos loved to braid Karama′s hair and
bring her weeds or flowers as she called them. A day ago Damian had
dropped to one knee and proposed to her with a spider ring his sister
always had around to try and scare someone.
Karma of course called him mad and his response was he was madly in love
with her. So here they where a couple of days later holding hands in
the chapel. His eyes only looking at Karma and he had his small smile on
his eyes lighted with love for her.
A little old lady was the one to officiate the vows and she cleared her
throat. "We are gathered here today to join you both this holy union of
love." The little old lady turned to Damian. "Will you Damian have this
Woman to be thy wedded wife, to live together in Matrimony? Will you
love her, comfort her, honor, and keep her, forsaking all other, keep
thee only unto her, so long as ye both shall live?"
"I do." Damian spoke his hands squeezing Karma′s gently and he brought
them up to place a kiss on each of her hands. The little old lady turned
to Karma. Will you Karma have this Man to be thy wedded husband, to
live together in Matrimony? Will you obey him, and serve him, love, and
honor him, forsaking all other, keep thee only unto him, so long as ye
both shall live? "
Karma had not expected that going to some party where she donned a very
extra kind of dress would have anything come of it, but there she had
met Damian. He was something all new to her. A guy who didnt have
expectations, he didnt push or pry and because he seemed so closed off
she was intrigued to learn more. He didnt mind her moods where she was
silent or reserved and talked to her through them so she ended up
smiling, something she seemed to do with him and him alone.
She liked it most when he would read to her, she could close her eyes
and get lost in a story that wasnt about her own sometimes bleak life,
or the sad things that had happened to Damian. His little sister seemed
to take to her which was nice and Eos spend hours giving waves to her
hair because of the braids she practiced on her. Being around Damian was
never something she had to think about or work at, it just was and it
was good to boot.
When he proposed she swore for just a second he was joking, but when it
became evident that he was very serious she jumped at the opportunity.
She even donned a dress, something that was rare for her. She was not
nervous, excited and anxious a bit but never nervous which was how she
knew they werent rushing into it as much as anxious to get life started,
one she was very certain about having with Damian. The little woman who
was marrying them was cute and made everything feel more quaint. When
Damian said I do she beamed, his lips soft and warm against her hands.
And when it was her turn she didnt even think to balk at words of
obeying. Instead she smiled confidently and nodded her head as she
spoke, “I do.”
The smile on his lips grew wider when she said I do and he was beyond
happy in this moment with her. The little old lady turned to him once
more. "Please repeat after me I, Damian, take thee Karma as my wedded
wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse,
for richer for poorer, for fairer or fouler, to love and to cherish for
all of eternity."
He nodded speaking the words. I, Damian, take thee Karma as my wedded
wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse,
for richer for poorer, for fairer or fouler, to love and to cherish for
all of eternity." he couldn′t help the gentle kisses he placed on her
hands once more as the little old lady turned to Karma to speak to her.
"Please repeat after me I Karma take thee Damian as my wedded husband,
to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for
richer or poorer, to be bonny and buxom at bed and at board, to love and
to cherish for all of eternity."
Karma smiled at Damians smile. It was such a rare sight for some and she
was always so glad to see it for her and her alone. It might be selfish
of her but she welcomed it all the same. And listening to his vows made
her a bit more emotional then she might have been standing across from
anyone else. Damian just made everything better before she had even
realized it. Her hands squeezed his tightly when he spoke, and looking
over at him she didnt glance at the woman who spoke the words for her to
repeat.
But when it was her turn her voice was true and firm, repeating them
perfectly. “I Karma take thee Damian as my wedded husband, to have and
to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer or
poorer, to be bonny and buxom at bed and at board, to love and to
cherish for all of eternity." And again she squeezed his hands tightly
in her own, an excited squeeze this time like she wanted to bounce on
her heels.
He loved how her excitement matched his own and this was a sign that
indeed they where meant for each other. As the little old woman leaned
into him to ask "The rings please." he moved to let go of one of Karma's
hands and pulled out the rings and he showed up the ring to Karma
hoping she would like it.
The little old lady eyed the ring but she spoke "Please repeat after
then place the ring on her finger. With this Ring I thee wed, and with
my body I thee honor, and with all my worldly goods I thee endow." So
he moved to pull off the plastic spider but stuck it on her other ring
finger and he moved to slip on the ring and spoke With this Ring I thee
wed, and with my body I thee honor, and with all my worldly goods I thee
endow."
He ended up handing her the band for him and the little old lady turned
to her "Please repeat after then place the ring on his finger. With this
Ring I thee wed, and with my body I thee honor, and with all my worldly
goods I thee endow."
Seeing the ring that he held out for her was confirmation that he was
perfect in every way. He pulled the plastic ring she had yet to take off
form her finger and replaced it with something shiny and bright and yet
still a spider, which would be a constant reminder of her first, the
plastic play spider ring he had used in his library. She was looking
down at the new ring he had slipped on her finger when the woman spoke
to her.
Looking over she took the ring that was held out to her, smiling as it
was her turn. Placing the ring on his fingertip she spoke, pushing the
band back to fit snuggly on his ring finger, “With this Ring I thee wed,
and with my body I thee honor, and with all my worldly goods I thee
endow." She did bounce on her heels then, her hand still holding firmly
to his because she couldn’t imagine letting go at this point.
Letting out a laugh as she bounced he pressed more kisses to her hands
as the little lady spoke. "May you always share with each other the
gifts of love be one in heart and in mind may you always create a home
together that puts in your hearts love generosity and kindness. Both of
you have pledged your faith and declared your unity by giving and
receiving a ring and are now joined. I now pronounce you man and wife
and may your days be good and long upon all the nine You may kiss the
bride."
Damian didn't need to be told twice to kiss his bride and he let go of
her hands and he moved to cup her cheeks and he leaned in to press his
lips against hers. Moving his lips against hers now that they where
married was far beyond the greatest feeling in all the nine.
Karma barely heard the words the woman spoke, and when she gave the ok
Damian leaned in to kiss her, and she welcomed the embrace. For the
first time since they had started the ceremony she had free hands and
she used then on the collar of his shirt, sliding up and then clutching
there to make sure he couldn’t pull away to quickly. She kissed him back
like they were entirely alone and kissing him might ease the
butterflies kicking up a storm in her belly or the rapid pulse she
ported. But his kiss only made those things stronger and she then
welcomed the feelings as something only Damian could make her feel.
