After Kainul's birth Taznin felt all his particles coming back together.
Aarzam's explosion ripped Taznin's energy to all hell. His mind a bit
scattered and left in fragments, but what he knew best was his snake
form. And bit by tiny bit the pieces of light reconstituted themselves
until a large white serpent formed. Taking comfort in the scent of an
oak tree the snake rolled his body around the exotic scent that once
belonged to his mate. Taznin remembered slightly what he loved, and he
remembered he loved honey and oak as long as the day was. His long body
slithered out of the tree in the beautiful gardens of the palace
grounds. The white snake tasted the air with his long forked tongue. He
scented at something very familiar. It was a young djinn playing in the
garden, Kainul was his name. "Kainul.." the Taznin snake hissed to the
djinn. His long slender body crawled through the grass to him. With
gentle care, the snake wasn't going to hurt his own kin, his own flesh
and blood. And his scaled coils gentle as silk wrapped up around Kainul.
His forked tongue dancing past his lips and tickled his childs cheek.
"beautiful Kainul, my son.. I remember now.." His light warmth hugged
his child.
It was the children, Nahyan and Kainul that pulled the
fragmented mind of Taznin back together. After a few days he finally
remembered why he loved the scents of honey and oak, as the serpent his
body stirred with a shiver feeling the scents on his tongue, on his
scales, on his feathered wings when they unfurled from his back, bright
white with edges of lavender. They stretched with a strong flap to pull
all the goodness into his djinn flesh. His evening flight over the land
of Zulfiquar he found himself landing and resting down in the center of a
crater. Taznin's serpent eyes looked over the scarred earth, the soil
turned black and deep browns from fire. Memories flooded the prince, and
his serpent body shifted, he turned back into a male form, clothing
rippling over his body like a glimmer of light. His knees knelt into the
earth, as he picked up a bright red ring laying there. Glancing to his
own hand he saw the white and lavender ring on his own finger, like a
lightening strike the memory of what happened here hit him. Tears
slipping from his eyes he collapsed on to the scar of earth, "Aarzam."
As he spoke the name of his mate he heard something deep inside the
earth. His hands moved before his mind could even respond, his fists
digging into the earth. Digging away deeper and deeper until the earth
trembled and then gave way, dropping out from underneath him. The Prince
of Light stayed hovering in the air as he witnessed the cave open up
deep into the ground. Slowly he moved down, disappearing into the cave
his eyes started to explore the darkness. His light shining, illumating
everything in the cave as he used his senses to follow the source of the
sound.
Aarzam's response: Some things about this place just couldn't be explained if one tried for
a million years time. Nothing about Zulfiquar made any sense, this land
was made of pure magic, pure djinn power. It wasn't like anything ever
on Earth realm. All that could be explained, it was unique. "Its about
time you showed up, I was starting to wonder if you forgot." Aarzam
smiled as his body had slipped behind Taznin in the darkness of the
cave. He moved his face close and his chin set to rest on his mate's
shoulder and he nuzzled the side of his face against the silky waves of
platinum white hair. His fingers gripped Taznin's shoulder and he turned
him around.
Aarzam was fully clothed, which was very unlike himself. In a fine black
suit, tie.. as though he was dressed for a date with a handsome prince.
In his hand was a lavender flower, and he handed it to Taznin. "I've
been waiting for you, I started to grow impatient so.." He grinned
happily and took Taznin's hand to lead him deeper into the cave. The
cave opened up more, more and more until soon they walked into a lavish
dinning hall. The hall filled with objects made of glass.. tables and
chair, center pieces and even roses in vases.. all of it made of fine
clear glass. All sparkling with candles all about. "I had a lot of time
on my hands. I hope I didn't miss anything.." Aarzam's red eyes looked
about his fingers pressing to his lips as he studied the details he had
created before he looked to Taznin.
Taznin's response: Moving deeper into the cave until the light from the mouth of the cave
faded and Taznin was left with only his inner light to guide him.
Reaching out he tried to locate that sound he heard again as his fingers
of his right hand played with Aarzam's engagement ring. Sighing he
stopped, his head glancing down as he looked the ring over. When
suddenly he felt a presence behind him, a body near and a chin rest on
his shoulder. And that voice caused sensations to race up and down his
spine. Breath exited his lungs, and a soft word came out, "aarzam..." He
smiled softly... "Wait what?" Taznin's brow furrowed when it hit him
what Aarzam said, it was about time he showed up, what was that suppose
to mean? Turning around he saw Zam in the first time since the
explosion. His heart beat a bit faster, he felt another tear roll down
over his cheek. Looking over the lavender, Taznin lifted it to his nose
and smelled its beautiful self, like it was a mini him floating in front
of his nose.
"Waiting for me.. Zam what are you talking about?" Taznin was confused,
and he slipped the flower's stem behind his ear for safe keeping as his
eyes looked his mate over. Was that clothing Aarzam was wearing? When
did the ifrit ever wear clothing? When Aarzam took his hand and led him
deeper into the cave, Taznin exploded with questions. "So let me get
this straight? You've been here this whole time, while I've been up
there looking for you?" As they moved through the cave Taznin realized
that Aarzam's touch wasn't heated like it use to be, it was.. well
normal. Or maybe he was to hot with frustration he couldn't feel it, but
still it wasn't like Aarzam to feel this way. "I've been trying to put
my pieces back together again.. and oh like fuck, you've been fucking
here..."
Taznin stopped complaining as they reached the destination. His lavender
eyes sparkles as he took in the amazing sight of all the glass
creations set all around. The candle light dancing off everything making
this place seem almost impossible. "What in the world.." He let
Aarzam's hand go, though he left the red engagement ring in his mate's
hand, not even thinking about it. Drifting over to one of the center
pieces on the long glass dining table, Taznin touched the glass work.
Slipping his pale fingertips over it, and studying its detail. The
flowers, the leaves, the bowl it rested in were all made of glass. A bit
of color was inside the handcrafted items to make them appear real, but
close up it was all glass. "You made this.. you made all of this."
Aarzam wasn't an artist, he just learned to read a week ago. And now..
Taznin clutched his forehead with his hand, his fingers digging through
his hair and scraping his scalp with his nails. Lavender eyes shot at
Aarzam, "Who are you?" He glared, his body drifted closer to come at
this Zam imposter. "Who the fuck do you think you are? You're not Zam!
Who are you?" He cried, tears dancing down his face. Why would anyone
trick him like this? Especially with his loving mate. His hand brushed
his tears away, anger taking over as he faced the Aarzam look-a-like.
His finger pressing hard into the sensational chiseled chest he could
feel under the clothing of this djinn, "If you are Aarzam then answer
this. Where is your fire? ... That dining table we fucked on, what was
the last name of humans who owned it?" He tried to think of more,
"What's the tattoo behind my right ear?" His hand covered it up, his
hair had grown out and now it was covered, but it was still there under
his dancing fingertips.
A pain flared up behind Taznin's eyes, causing him to shut his eyes and
his tilting away. A voice echoed deep in his skull. *Hes a lie to you,
they're all a lie.. Taznin.* "Fuck off.." He spoke to the voice in his
head. He felt flushed like all blood just seeped out of him, his scent
bloomed up ten fold in his anxiety. His fingers wrapped around the lapel
of Aarzam's suit, gripping a hold of him as his breath exiting his
lips. He felt the fangs growing in his mouth, his lips sucking on them
briefly before he spoke. "What was the first book I gave you?..." Taznin
wavered and he groaned as that voice still rattled around in his head
causing a pain he never felt before. His lavender eyes opened, looking
to his mate. "Please don't be a lie... I need you too much."
Aarzam's response: Aarzam felt the weight of his engagement band being rested in his palm.
He looked down at it, rolling it softly in his grasp before he slipped
the red ring on to his finger. Aarzam flinched when his mate turned on
him, his head tilted with concern as he looked Taznin over. It wasn't
like Taz to get so angry, especially when he saw art. Not that Aarzam
was a perfect artist, he just wanted to do something special for his
mate. This red ifrit eyes traveled over Taznin, something was different
about Taz. Even though he smelled the same, something was off. Aarzam
could feel it like an unwelcome stranger in the room with him. His arms
dropped to his sides as Taznin accused him of being someone else. "Its
me, Aarzam.." Taznin got in his face and Aarzam felt that lavender
stare, it was brilliant and surged through him. He had really missed
Taznin beyond words. His mate's anger seemed small compared to the
emotion of feeling Taznin so close. The ifrit's eyes traced over his
sexy mouth, he ached to kiss him but he just watched and listened to his
questions. Straightening his back, his chest pushed out slightly to tip
his head away. But only to avoid ravishing his mouth with his own. "The
table?" He laughed softly as he recalled the moment in time they found
lust on a human's dinning room table. The faces of the mortals still in
his mind as they saw their table they sat at shift and move, objects
sliding about as the two djinn fucked like animals on it. "The
Johnson's, I'll never forget that day."
If Taznin wanted answered, proof that he was who he said he was then he
could answer all of them, even more. He could play this game forever,
Aarzam knew things about Taznin that nobody did. "As for my fire? I'm
not sure, the explosion left me like this. Now the tattoo.." He lifted
his hand and brushed the warm pads of his fingertips over the place it
was. "Its a light switch, you got it so it would give you the excuse to
tell others to 'turn you on' as you put it. You got it before we met,
however now only I know how to 'turn you on'.." Aarzam hoped that was
all he had for questions. Taz seemed to be backing off but only he
roared back with a curse like he was talking to someone else. Aarzam was
seriously getting concerned about Taznin state. It was so unstable, so
odd. He felt helpless, he wanted to help but he had no idea where to
begin but to answer another question. "The qur'an.. you wanted me to
read and learn it so I understood the violent nature of humans. That
humans are most dangerous creatures on the planet, also so I understood
why I was enslaved like I was.. because I wasn't evil, because humans
are." He shook his head and brushed his hands down Taznin's biceps on
either side, rubbing Taznin with reassurance and care to his love. "I'd
never lie to you Taznin, you mean more than life to me. I'll love you
til death, you know that. Is that all your questions, are you still
unsure?" He smirked as he thought of something.
"I know so many things about you Taznin, things that you tell no one but
me. I know you.. I know how when you listen to the song 'Made to last'
by Semisonic you remember reading the book The White Gold Wielder. And
even to this day you have a obsession for the metal white gold, which is
why I made sure your ring was made of it for you." Aarzam reaching down
he stroked his fingers over Taznin's engagement ring, he remembered how
excited Taznin was when he got it. Watching him show it off to everyone
like an excited little girl would. "When I put it on your finger after
you said I do, you held up your hand and yelled. I Am Barak Halfhand
now! rawr!" Aarzam imitated his mate and rose his hand up like Taznin
did that day. He smiled looking back to Taznin, cradling his face in his
hands and pulling his face close to his. Kissing away tears forming in
his eyes. "You use to sing Florence songs to Kainul when I was pregnant
with him. Every night it was a new Florence song, and your voice is
lovely when you sing them." He rubbed his nose against Taznin's he felt a
tear roll down his own cheek, he just wanted his mate. He would prove
it forever he was his mate until the moment they were no more. He spoke
on Taznin's mouth, "I told you to run you fool.. but I love you, and
love how you stayed with me."
