Creating Zulfiquar
Category: Uncategorized

I made LOZ back in 2014. When that day happened it was not my intention to create a group. I was making a place for victims of RP hate. Many of my members where judged harshly for things that should just never happen in RP, but these things do happen. And me being a sweet honest caring person inside I wished to give them all a home and place they could feel safe and proud of like it was their own. And thus LOZ was born. It was never my goal to make a family-based group, but it ended up turning out that way. Almost a year and a half later I wouldn't change a thing. Its been fun, I'm still learning how to run a group since I'm fairly new at it still. I make mistakes all the time, Im not perfect but I'm striving to be better at it. I know a few hate me still to this day for the group, they look down at me and speak ill, but hey I was just being nice and good. I'm still a good person, and very honest. I won't let hate change me, make me bitter and mean, I'm just not that kind of person..

anyhoo...

The name of Zulfiquar is based off the mythical legendary sword in arabic beliefs. Originally the group was going to be called, Land of Haf. Haf is the name of the djinn world according to some sources. However when I made the group I wanted to be original and different. There has been many many different djinn groups in rp since the time I first started RPing back in 2000. I was in most of them and each group did their own take on things, different ideas to different owners of the groups which all made them unique and special in their own way. I wanted to do the same, I wanted to be different and unique, and make it special so I wasn't copying or taking away from what others have done. I don't own the djinn concept, I don't own the element concept, I don't own the kpop concept. Anyone can use these things. I'm just the first one to put all three of these concepts together to make my group.

Why name it after a sword? Well why not? And also I think the name is really cool, plus the history of the sword itself. The djinn world is mythical and so is the sword, so why not name it after a mythical legend. Plus my dearest Aarzam picked the name and as respect to his writer, Zulfiquar is going to stay.

There has been many different ways of spelling the legendary sword. These are All the known ways that I know of.. there is probably more.

Dhulfiqar
Zulfiquar
Zulfikar
Thulfeqar
Zoulfikar
Zulfeqhar
Sulfiquar
Sulfikar
Soulfikar
Sulfeqhar
Zulfiqar
Zolfaghar

The sword is based of the ancient mythical sword as written below.

Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegār ('the emerald-studded sword') is a sword in the Persian legend Amir Arsalan. The witch mother of a hideous horned demon called Fulad-zereh used a charm to make his body invulnerable to all weapons except this specific sword. Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegār originally belonged to King Solomon, and was carefully guarded by Fulad-zereh, not only because it was a valuable weapon, and indeed the only weapon that could harm the demon, but also because wearing it was a charm against magic. A wound inflicted by this sword could only be treated by a special potion made from a number of ingredients, including Fulad-zereh's brains.

Later the story of the sword was twisted and spoken of by Muhammad. He mentioned in his book that he gave the sword as a gift to Ali ibn Abi Talib. Whether the sword is real or not, nobody knows, its legend is right up there with Excalibur.
