Kayako was resting upstairs in the attic of Saeki House, after concluding yet another day of first stalking, then killing more worthless humans who had dared intrude upon her domain! She felt nothing but absolute rage and anger, as the deadly curse continued to consume every part of her ghostly existence, along with those of the sadistic yurei's unfortunate victims as well. But that was how things were, and she had never known anything else. Suddenly Kayako felt another presence enter Saeki House, and it seemed both strange and hostile at the same time. Moving quickly, she crawled down the stairs then stood on her feet, only to see another yurei, covered in tattoos and staring at Kayako with eyes of pure hatred. Both women froze for a moment, each awaiting the next move of the other.
Reika ventured forth from the Manor of Sleep, and soon found herself in another cursed residence, one with much hostility and sadness contained within those bloodstained walls. She opened the door then went inside, feeling the presence of several other lesser ghosts close by, but they were far too weak to give Reika any trouble, and she snickered as the entities cowered in absolute fear. Only one could ever possibly equal her thus far unchallenged power, and she knew that Kayako must be destroyed at once! Slowly moving closer, the female ghost approached the attic, but stopped when she heard a rather unnerving croaking noise. No doubt it was indeed Kayako, gradually crawling down until reaching the bottom, a hideous yurei whose lust for blood nearly equaled Reika's own. Finally, the two most powerful ghosts of their respective domains stood facing one another, hatred mixed with respect as they continued staring at each other intensely. Suddenly Reika lunged, grabbing Kayako by the throat, strangling her hated enemy and quickly trying to end the battle by attempting to break the other female's neck!
Kayako was caught off guard by how fast Reika moved, and for several moments she could do nothing as her determined enemy strangled her with great force, cutting off the ghost's air as she struggled to breath. Summoning up all her strength, Kayako managed to throw Reika off, sending the yurei crashing hard against the wall, making a sickening thud as the mother of Toshio finally arose to her feet. Smiling evilly, Kayako now stood over the fallen woman, making her infamous croaking noises before grabbing a long, sharp piece of glass. Laughing insanely, Kayako then screamed as she drove the weapon directly through Reika's neck, impaling her as it stuck to the floor, while blood splattered everywhere! Thinking the battle was now over, she raised her hands in triumph, then snickered at the fallen ghost before turning around to leave. But this was no mere human or even a typical spiritual enemy either, and Kayako would soon learn the hard way that things wouldn't always go according to her demented plans!
Reika felt intense pain as Kayako drove the sharp glass through her neck, after already landing violently against the wall as Toshio's sadistic mother threw her off. While blood gushed all over the place, she blacked out for several moments, making Kayako think her spirit was in fact destroyed, when nothing could be further from the truth. Slowly rising from what had appeared to be an almost certain defeat, Reika crept up silently behind her, not making a sound until grabbing the other female's neck and twisting it with all her might, snapping bones as she began screaming in both rage and a rather morbid form of excitement! Once again, in death as in life, Kayako's neck was broken as Reika all but decapitated it, before finally grabbing her wretched enemy's hair and dragging Kayako's limp body up the stairs. She then violently threw the other female's much abused figure down them as well, laughing as her victim crashed into the floor, but only after suffering many cuts and bruises from the fall. She then walked down the stairs and spit on her face, before turning away and confidently leaving, thinking she had at last won this rather brutal conflict between them!
Kayako knew that Reika was the more powerful ghost, but nothing could have prepared her for such a terrible display of violence as this! Feeling her neck being broken again brought back terrible memories of what Takeo had done, but his strength paled in comparison to Reika's. As the tattooed priestess snapped Kayako's neck like a twig, she felt her entire body go limp, remaining completely motionless as she was dragged up the stairs, only to be thrown back down them with tremendous force, breaking many more bones as the ghost finally landed on the ground with a loud, sickening thud, but the ultimate insult was Reika spitting in Kayako's face! It would seem to indicate that this intense battle had truly ended, and indeed, for several minutes as the morbid priestess stood over her broken body, Kayako did not move nor even breath. Finally Reika walked away, victory seemingly was hers now as Kayako lay perfectly still, but just the slightest little twitch of Kayako's right fingers indicated that perhaps there was still some fight left in her after all. Suddenly she forced herself to painfully stand up, and slowly began moving toward Reika as blood poured down her battered body. Summoning up her last bit of strength, she grabbed a broken piece of wood and screamed for the first time as she raised the weapon over her head, bringing it down with all her might, sending it through Reika's skull so hard that part of it emerged through the tattooed spirit's mouth! Both women fell to the ground, Reika from the devastating blow and Kayako from complete exhaustion, for she could do no more, but if Reika somehow managed to survive this and attack her once again, the battle would possibly be over for good, but at this very moment in time, two of the most powerful spiritual entities now lay in pools of their own blood, no doubt a fitting climax to such a brutal encounter between these supernatural women of unrestrained malevolence!
