Heading to Egypt
Category: Uncategorized

Moira was part of a set, and as such, as independent as she liked to be, she hated to be alone. She found a lot of time to do things on her own, but when she didn't need to be she preferred to have someone there. Her brother was usually the unlucky soul she tacked herself onto, and so now that she was faced with some serious time apart she was pouty. She had debated for a second about making him come along with her, but she knew he had things he wouldn't want to leave at school, and while she was apprenticing under their aunt he wasn't under the same leadership as her since he didn't find the need to steal things for a lack of attention. For twins they handled their lack of supervision very differently.

After penning a letter to her mother which would be waiting on her when she got home, explaining that she would be with Arethusa in Egypt helping her to set up things in Alexandria while learning, she left the envelope on her desk. She figured it would be a couple weeks at least before she would be back with any regularity but it wasn't as if she would be missing a nightly family dinner, her parents busy in their own rights should forgive her the travel time. After dropping off the letter she went to tell her brother where she was going and spent the next hour harassing him with teasing about Sio and messing with his goggles. Since they had been little she had taken her fathers word about making sure he always had them on very seriously so it felt poetic to mess with them now before she let. She left a flower tucked into the band and then headed toward her room.

Her brown satchel was on her bed and she looped it over her head to lay across her body. She took a turn around the room, another bag lifted to her back so she had her books and clothes on hand for traveling back and forth for lessons she might not be able to skip. With her necklace, specially charmed by her aunt to ensure she could get to where she needed to, so long as she wasn't causing mischief, it was simple to take her from her gloomy bedroom to an open archway, that was filled with golden sunlight. "Arethusa, Spiere... really big tall godly aunties boyfriend... anyone home?!"
