Patrick had just come back from checking on a patient of his. He walked up to the nurse's desk when he heard the elevator. He turned around to see the doors open.
After Steve took Sharon up to surgery, Dylan went into the private waiting area. He went over to the sofa and sat down. He covered his face with his hands. A few minutes later, he heard footsteps and slowly looked up to see Alan standing there. He stood up and went over to him. “Dad.” He hugged him.
"Of course, it is, Mom. She, hugged her tightly. "Dylan will be so happy, to see you. Hi, dad." She, stood up, and hugged them both tightly. "I just called Nick, to see how everything is going. Please, join us." Hayden sat back down. "What, would you guys, like. Violet, say hello to grandmother, and grandfather." She watched Violet hug them both.
After Elizabeth told him that Dylan wanted him to stay with him while Sharon was in surgery. He made his way over to the private waiting area. He saw Dylan and went over to him. “Hi Dylan. Elizabeth told me that you wanted me to stay with you. How are you?”
Dylan smiled softly when he felt Sharon grab his hand when Steve came in. “Hey Steve.” He heard what Sharon said and looked at him. “As you can tell, my fiancé is very ready.” He felt him when he patted his shoulder then looked at her. “I know you are very ready for this. By the time you wake up, I will be right here. I love you so much.” He kissed her softly on the lips and hugged her. Then watched as they wheeled her out of the room.
Steve made his way to Sharon’s room and knocked on the door. Then he opened it and smiled softly seeing Dylan with Sharon. “Hi, I don’t mean to interrupt. I just wanted to let you know that we are ready.” He patted Dylan on the shoulder. “I promise the both of you that everything is going to be okay.”
Dylan nodded his head and smiled softly at her. “I know that my family will love that, Sharon.” He kissed her softly on the lips then hugged her. Just then, he heard a light knock on the door and saw Steve.
"It's fine with me, honey." She, grinned at him. "We can always include, your family too. I think will call them all." She, looked at him, and giggled.
Dylan nodded his head and smiled softly at her. “I love the sound of that, Sharon.” He chuckled. “Well, if it does turn out to be the two of us, I definitely will not complain.” He smirked as he hugged her.
"Great. So, starting once a week, we'll all get together for a family dinner. But only, if they want to. I tried it once before, and it didn't last very long, Dylan. It might, end up, being just the two of us." She, looked at him, and giggled.
Dylan nodded his head and smiled softly when he heard her. “That sounds like a great plan, Sharon. One that I am most definitely all for. I know the kids will love it too. It’s good letting those who are important to us know exactly how much they mean to us.”
She, smiled when she felt him, kiss the top of her head.
"I know, Dylan. I feel, like I don't tell you enough. But, I'm going to start telling you and the kids every day, from now on." She, smiled softly at him again.
Dylan gave her a soft smile. “Thank you, Elizabeth.” He watched as she left then turned to Sharon as he felt her take his hand. “I love you too, Sharon. You are very welcome. Even though, you never have to thank me for being with you. I love you so much.” He gently wrapped his arm around her and hugged her then kissed the top of her head.
