Patrick had just come back from checking on a patient of his. He walked up to the nurse's desk when he heard the elevator. He turned around to see the doors open.
She sat down, and smiled at him. "Oh, I like it very much, Patrick. Seems, I walked into a hospital scandal already." She giggled. "Mercy, seems very tame to me now." She, looked at him, and giggled again.
Patrick was on his lunch break so he went down to the hospital cafeteria and bought lunch. He heard Kim and smiled. "Hello, Dr. Nero. I would love for you to join me." He grabbed his tray and found a table as they sat down. "How are you liking it here at General Hospital? Much different than Mercy?"
Jason turned around when he heard Elizabeth. He went back over to the bed. "She's right here." He smiled softly. "She got a little fussy so I brought her over to the window and she calmed down. Would you like to hold her?"
Jason gave him a soft smile. "Sonny, you and I are best friends, brothers. We're family. I keep telling you that over and over again." He watched as he checked his phone. "Sure, go ahead. Call me if you need anything. Say hi to Mike." He went back into Elizabeth's room and smiled when she was still sleeping. He turned his head to see that the baby was awake so he picked her up. "Hey you." He gently rocked her. "It's okay. I got you. Ssh." He walked over to the window with her.
Sonny looked at him. "I've never done right by Mike before but I am now. Maybe, one day I can have the baby at the house so Mike can see her. It would really brighten up his day." He felt his hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry for what I accused you of. I know you would never do that. After Stone died, I didn't think I would have another friend like that. Then you came into my life and have always bent over backwards for me." He heard his phone and saw there was a text from Carly. "I'm gonna get going. Send Elizabeth and the baby my love." He walked over to the elevator and pressed the button then got on.
Jason looked at Sonny and sighed. "I know that things with Mike are not easy right now. Maybe, you should try to focus more on him. Spend every minute you can with him." He put his hand on his shoulder. "Of course you can see the baby whenever you want."
Carly sent a text to Sonny, telling him that she was leaving the hospital. She, would be out for the day, and didn't know, when she would be home. She, then left the hospital.
Sonny was beyond stunned after hearing Jason. He took a deep breath. "I'm sorry. I honestly don't know what got into me to make me think that you of all people would replace me in my daughter's life. I know you wouldn't. Yes, I remember everything with baby Lila. You really stepped up back then, like you always do. After all, that is what a best friend and brother does. You always go above and beyond constantly. More than me, sadly. I know that Elizabeth and the boys are your family. I will not get in the way of that, I promise. All I want, is just to be apart of my daughter's life, that's it. There won't be any custody battles or anything. We've all had enough of those to last a lifetime. I guess with everything going on with Mike, things are just starting to really get to me." He sighed.
Jason was stunned after hearing Sonny. "Are you serious right now, Sonny? Really? Bringing up Lila. We all loved that little girl. Do you remember why I was in her life? I will be happy to remind you. You and Carly were once again arguing and fighting over Michael and Morgan. You had already put those kids through a tough custody battle. That the one time, Michael wanted to be with Courtney and me. When I gave Michael up to you, I made him a promise that I would always do what's best for him. That included not having his family torn apart. So, when Sam announced that she was pregnant with your child, I made a split second decision to change the paternity results so it read I was the father instead of you. I did that to protect your marriage and family with Carly and the boys. I was divorced from Courtney at the time, so everything worked out. If you also recall, I never once and neither did Sam, not want you to have anything to do with the baby." He took a deep breath. "As for Elizabeth, we're a family. She's my wife, and we managed to build an incredible family with the boys and we're going to do the same thing with the new baby. Listen to me, we are not preventing you from being a father. So, don't get these crazy ideas in your head where you think I'm taking your place because I'm not. Elizabeth, Cameron, Jake, Aiden and now little Elizabeth are my family. There is nothing I will not do for them. Same goes for you. I'm telling you this right now. If you start anything that's going to have to make me choose between Elizabeth and you, you won't like that. I'm only saying this to you because I know you and I know how you act."
Britt put her hand on Carly's right thigh, and massaged it. "All right. Let me go and sign out. I will meet you, at my parlor in about 30 minutes. Do, you know, where it is." Britt moved her hand to Carly's right breast. And, squeezed it. She leaned in, and kissed Carly's lips hard, then stood up. "Nice." And, walked out of the room.
Sonny watched as Jason put the baby down then came out of Elizabeth's room. "I heard that she had the baby. I came as soon as I could. Thank you for being there for her and my daughter. You might be back with Elizabeth but I hope you don't plan on taking over as her father like you would have done with Lila."
"I do know, exactly what you mean, Britt. I heard all the rumors, and I'll take the whole package. Including A. J." She, giggled and looked at her. "You, can touch me, any way you like. But, not here. Let's go to your parlor." Carly smiled at her.
