The Lost Child (sion's Back story) Category: Uncategorized
All Sion recalls was the small village at the foothills at the base of the giant mountain, later to be Mount Fuji. She doesn't recall any family or even her own parents. Her hair was an unusual auburn color and eyes as green as emeralds or could go gold depending on her mood. She does remember the warmth and friendship of an elderly woman who took her in once she had came of age and the changeover or manifestation of her kisume heritage took hold of her. For one year or more she was alone and frightened, uncertain of what was happening until the woman she later called grandmother took her in and helped her in her development and understanding of what is now her fate. She was apart of the spirit realm, a nine tailed fox known as kitsumes. Some called them mischief makers and thieves. Others fear them, believing they are takers of souls. Sion, was neither, she learned to use her gifts for healing or telling of the future or past for her connection to the spirit realm giving her access to information that no one can ever understand. She learned to mask her forms. Being a young woman, or a red fox with nine tails, or even a combination of woman with the fox ears and tail. She lived alone as before she met grandmother, sadly the kind woman who raised her had crossed over once Sion's lessons were complete. She roams the forests freely and rarely ever venture to human population. She sits by the riverside, singing softly as she attends to her tasks of gathering herbs or scrubbing laundry or bathing. The summer was upon the mountain and she was enjoying the warmth as she sings, her form between woman and fox, not caring to be seen for none ever comes this far into the forest.
