The Governor vs. Michonne

(Sadistic Villain Version: Some things were changed up in order to better fit my ideas into this story.)
Michonne was sick and tired of playing these stupid little mind games with the Governor, and she also vowed to never again risk other people's lives just because Rick wanted to keep her safe, so after yet another heated argument she finally walked away from him and everyone else inside the Prison, in order to go find Philip on her own but suddenly Rick ran up and grabbed her from behind. Michonne sighed deeply then slowly turned around before proceeding to lay down the law for good, whether Rick wanted to hear it or not.
"Either I find him on my own or you tell him yes! Yes you'll hand me over to him and this will all be finally done with forever. Rick I'm tired of you protecting me at the expense of everyone else, so you'd better take your damn hands off me this instant, or else me and you are going to have some serious fucking problems!"
Michonne was ready to fight her own lover at the drop of a hat, but she also glared at Daryl and felt more than willing to go against him right now as well, so finally Rick took a long, deep breath before at last giving up and removing his hands from her shoulders. His mind raced for answers as he looked at Daryl, who just slowly shook his head because there was no use reasoning with her anymore, and even Daryl knew that both him and Rick would have problems going toe to toe with Michonne. The defeated men looked down then slowly turned to walk away from her, but suddenly an insane idea entered into Rick's head and he decided that sure, why the fuck not because what did he have to lose?
"Michonne, now please listen to me alright? We're not gonna stop you from doing this, okay? He'll be here tomorrow because those two days he gave me to think this over are just about up, but please, let me tell him yes but in my own way. Don't worry, just trust me because I can make this whole thing work out for us all."
Perhaps Philip Blake might just be mentally unstable or highly irrational enough to take Rick up on this new offer, which involved Rick indeed handing over Michonne to him, but not in the way most people would think. Michonne rolled her eyes but agreed to whatever crazy idea Rick had thought about off the top of his head, while Daryl also said yes but was very curious to hear more about this idea. Michonne then went to bed and Rick told Daryl in private about his new plan, which was certainly shocking to hear but Daryl agreed to go along with it anyway, so the next afternoon the Governor showed up at the barn to get Rick's answer. This time it would really and truly be a one on one meeting, because both men drove there by themselves to hopefully settle this whole damn mess once and for all.
Rick glared at Philip and almost began fighting him right then and there, but for once the former sheriff's deputy swallowed his pride because other lives were also at stake, which meant even if he injured or killed Philip there could be serious repercussions sooner, rather than later because many people on both sides might end up dying after all was said and done. Rick sat down in his chair while Philip did the same, but already the Governor sensed victory as he smirked at the other male sitting across from him at their table.
"Finally came to your senses I see! You do know Rick, that I'm a man of my word and in exchange for Michonne's head on a silver platter, you and everyone else get to walk away without so much as a scratch. Kind of a sweet deal if you ask me, so I'm assuming your answer is yes?"
Rick forced himself to remain calm and composed, as he suddenly upped the ante by dropping an unexpected and very surprising answer.
"My answer's yes, but not so fast there Philip, because here's the deal. Instead of simply giving up and offering Michonne as a sacrifice, how about you and her go at it, one on one with the winner taking all? You kill her and you'll get everything, all our weapons and food and hell, you can even have the Prison too, because we'll go away and never come back again either. You kill Michonne, the only thing me and my group will be leaving with are the clothes on our backs, because everything else, including all our vehicles and the weapons we've been stockpiling lately, will be yours Philip. And to prove my fucking point, I'll be putting my money where my damn mouth is, so here you go."
Rick slowly stood up then raised his hands into the air, while telling Philip that if he didn't believe every single thing he'd just told him, then sure of course, by all means pull out that weapon he'd been hiding and shoot him dead with it. Philip smirked and was about to do just that, but after removing a revolver from the back of his pants, he pointed it at Rick before lowering the weapon and smiling at his adversary.
"Very well then, Rick I do believe you and after thinking this over some more, my answer is...."
He smiled evilly and was just about to say no, when suddenly he had a change of heart instead.
"Looks like you've got yourself a deal, because my answer is yes! This place looks just as good as any, so go get Michonne and bring her back here, but you can't stick around for all the fireworks Rick, which means you have to leave and let me and her do our thing, or else the deal's off."
Rick quickly nodded and after agreeing to Philip's demands, he wasted no time in leaving to go get Michonne, while Philip sat back down and waited for the inevitable to finally happen. The Governor's own madness and insanity had been used against him and he might just regret making such a rash, less than well thought out decision regarding Michonne. This demented man planned on betraying Rick by not holding up his end of the deal, while also attempting to murder everyone inside the Prison after killing his sworn enemy, but soon enough Michonne arrived and she was clearly in no mood for talking either. She deeply kissed her one and only true love Rick, while embracing him tightly in what just might be the last tender moment they'd ever share together, and after he drove off she approached the door as the Governor planned his next move in this final conflict between them.
Michonne knew that the Governor already had a gun and would not hesitate to use it on her either, so she kept herself hidden behind the barn door while slowly opening it, which in turn frustrated Philip because he planned on simply shooting her dead the moment she entered inside the building. Rick had told her about the .38 caliber snub nosed revolver that Philip kept hidden away from plain view, so Michonne decided to bring along some serious firepower in the form of a .44 magnum revolver, which also had a six inch barrel and she of course, never went anywhere without that extremely dangerous but very dependable katana by her side. Keeping one hand on the handle and the other on her gun, Michonne carefully eased the door open while making sure that Philip could not get a clear shot off either, but rather than trying to open the damn thing all the way, she just wanted to make sure there was enough space for her to launch a surprise attack before he could react. The Governor clearly understood that Michonne knew all about that gun of his, because Rick no doubt told her earlier but at the same time, Philip thought she'd just sling the door open then come charging at him with katana in hand, thus allowing him to perhaps get a few rounds off but instead, Michonne struck first as several shots rang out loud and clear inside the barn. One bullet grazed his right shoulder while another hit Philip's left forearm, causing him a considerable amount of pain and discomfort as he rapidly dove for cover, but not before getting off some shots of his own as well. Michonne moved quickly although she wasn't fast enough to avoid taking a bullet in her right thigh, which no doubt hurt like hell but then again, she was well prepared to risk everything in order to finally end the Governor once and for all.
The barn was littered with both large and small debris, thus giving them ample hiding places as they continued shooting at each other, but eventually Philip and Michonne ran out of ammunition without causing any further injuries to one another, which meant it was now time for a more up close and very personal battle between them. Katana in hand, Michonne met Philip in the middle of the barn but strangely, no words were exchanged between them and none would be forthcoming either, because they were all about business and neither felt like talking because the time was over for such things. Every so often their injuries would cause them to curse or cry out in pain, but other than that Philip and Michonne remained silent as their fight continued. The Governor used a long and thick metal pipe for his new weapon, and at first he took the fiercely determined woman by surprise and quickly gained the advantage, by striking her ribs twice and also hitting her in the back more than once, leaving her winded and gasping for breath but Michonne countered with a violent slash across his chest, which made Philip swear out loud as blood began pouring from the rather large wound. Michonne would never admit it to Philip, but deep down inside she was quite impressed at how skilled the Governor was at wielding weapons of this nature, because that damn metal pipe was certainly a great choice and had done a lot of damage to her already.
Most of her attacks had been blocked by his pipe and vice versa too, because Philip was almost as good as Michonne when it came to both offensive and defensive weapon strategies. Almost, but not quite because his luck finally ran out after she at last drove her katana into his stomach, before immediately pulling it out then smashing the side of his head with the other end of it, using all her strength to deliver what she assumed was the final blow to achieve victory over this most hated of enemies. Philip collapsed to the floor but simply could not get back up again either, however Michonne herself began staggering around and had to use her own weapon for support, as the katana now became more like a walking cane than anything else. She hobbled over to deliver the fatal death blow by cutting off Philip's head, but before she could do so he merely smiled at Michonne, then shot her in the chest with a .25 caliber derringer pistol, which he'd kept well hidden due to how compact the single shot weapon was. Philip had been forced to wait until just the right moment before playing that final ace card of his, because there was really no way he could have gotten a clean shot off at her, not with something so small because if he'd missed then Philip's best chance of killing her would have failed. Michonne smiled back at the Governor while also slowly nodding as well, because she knew he'd almost gotten her for good with that fairly accurate shot to the chest, which barely missed her heart or else she'd have been dead already. Finally after their violent encounter had ended, they began speaking to each other even though just the mere act of talking hurt them both.
"Michonne.... go ahead and do.... what you planned on doing before I.... shot you. Just like with.... everything else in my life.... guess I'm a failure.... can't believe I missed your heart."
Philip began coughing up blood but still wanted her to cut his own head off anyway, just so she'd have the ultimate victory over him after all was said and done. Michonne however, refused to do that because she wanted the Governor to have a proper and dignified death, despite the horrible and terrible things he'd done to so many people, but the wounded female no longer had any desire to drive her katana through his skull or decapitate him with it. Besides, she was already down on both knees after having dropped the bloody weapon. Mercifully though, Rick had now returned because he wanted to check on his beloved Michonne and see how she'd fared during her battle with the Governor, but before he could do or say anything the injured woman suddenly spoke up.
"No Rick.... don't kill him. Give him your gun.... let him do this.... alright?"
Rick sighed deeply but quickly nodded before giving Philip a revolver, while also pointing another one at him too, just in case the Governor tried something really stupid and foolish right now. Philip slowly nodded then smiled at them both, and after thanking Michonne in a weak and soft voice, he pulled the trigger to end his own tortured and misunderstood life. Rick lowered his weapon but even as he began worrying over what he thought were life threatening injuries to Michonne, she remained calm and focused while reassuring him that everything was alright now.
"Rick you.... worry about me way too much. I'm fine really. Okay.... well maybe not really, but after some medical attention.... I'll be back on my feet again in no time."
Rick glared at her and now it was his turn to lay down the law, just as she'd done to him earlier before fighting the Governor.
"Medical attention only? No! You're gonna get plenty of rest and much needed sleep, along with medical treatment and don't worry, the rest of us will deal with whatever happens after.... well after this."
He gestured his hands in the dead Governor's general direction, but after hearing the next thing she said, he almost came completely unglued yet forced himself to remain calm and composed. Rick would never do something like this, but out of respect for Michonne he agreed to bury the man whom everyone else hated above all others.
"Okay. Yes we'll take Philip back with us and give him a decent burial too. I don't feel like arguing with you anymore Michonne. Now let's get you out of here before his people come looking for him."
Rick helped Michonne out of the barn and also assisted her in getting inside his pickup truck, then he swallowed his pride and forced himself to do the unthinkable, by returning to carefully pick up Philip Blake's dead body, and after doing so he placed it in the back of the vehicle then drove off to the Prison. The Governor would be given a proper burial but only because Michonne had demanded it, then later on Rick's group would deal with whatever might happen next.
