Biography:
Anastasia Pierce also known as Anastasiya Petrova, among other names as well, (Cyrillic: Аныа Петрова) was born into a wealthy Bulgarian family on October 28th 1477, fours years younger than her older sister, Katerina Petrova. In 1490, when Anya was thirteen years old, her sister became pregnant by an unknown man. Anya was disappointed in Katerina, but wanted to support her, but she had to obey her parents. The family disowned Katerina for the shameful birth of an illegitimate daughter. Katerina carried the child to term, but seconds after Anya's niece was born, their father took the child away, and Anya watched her sister become heartbroken from not being able to see her. Katerina was then banished to England and that is the last time she saw her. At least for a few centuries.
Over the next two years,October 28, 1492, at 15 years old, Anya spent her time, helping her parents, until tragedy struck. It all had to do with her sister, Katrina, who was now a vampire and running from a hybrid known as Niklaus Mikaelson. She had stolen the moonstone and returned home, only to flee, because Klaus was on his way to find her. So Katherine ran, leaving her family to Klaus's wrath. When Klaus arrived, Anya was in the field picking berries for her family, unaware that her parents would be killed and she taken as leverage against her sister.
When she returned home she found her parents dead and Klaus in the shadows hiding . He grabbed her and headed back to England. There she was compelled to forget her old life, by Klaus until he said other wise. Throughout the rest of her human life, she became his one best friend, his confidant, his lover and servant. Because she was so faithful to him and his family, when she turned 19 years-old, on, October 28th 1496 he bit her, turning her into a vampire, against her will. Though it was against her will, he compelled her to believe that she had asked for it.
When she awoke he compelled her to forget all she remembered and to focus on the future. The one thing he did allow her to remember was her sister, and the betrayal. Over the centuries she would chase her sister around, trying to capture her for Klaus, or even to kill her. She would even help with her distant niece, Elena in capturing her and even on some levels, helping her, through Klaus's orders.
When she had awoken, they soon found out that she was sired to Klaus, and was willing to do anything he ordered her to do. This left her and her remaining family members at odds with each other, to the point of pure hatred. During her human years, she grown to love Klaus, and now as a vampire, she seeked his approval. She would do anything for Klaus. Even to the point of accepting his proposal of becoming his wife.
Now Anya has married Klaus and has become 'The Queen of New Orleans', ruling alongside Klaus, doing whatever it takes to make sure that the Mikaelson Family remain alive and she is willing to go through Hell to do it!
Anya takes care of Hope, helping to protect her and the Salvatore school. Doing all she can to be there for her step-daughter and Niece.
