ORIGINAL CHARACTER NOT STOLEN OR COPIED......
Egyptian Goddess Heret-Kau
When we hear the stories and names of the Ancient Greek and Egyptian Gods and Goddesses, we know them all by heart and roughly what God and Goddess they are and what they represent. So when we hear the name Egyptian God of the Dead we all automatically name the God. "Anubis" For Anubis is mentioned in every historical book based on Ancient Egypt, the Gods of Egypt, the Pharoah's and Pyramids. But there is a Goddess who is not as famous nor mentioned. And yet she has the same role as "Anubis." And this Goddess she was often depicted as an attendant of the Ancient Egyptian Goddess Isis. And her name is Heret-Kau. Heret-Kau name also means "She is above the spirits." Her name and the meaning behind her name is rather fitting for she and Anubis are both guardians of the afterlife.
This Ancient Egyptian Goddess, is also a underworld Goddess. And yet she was most popular in the Old Kingdom in the time line era 2700-2500BC (Before Christ). In the old Kingdom around 2700-2500BC, she may probably of had a cult, this is assumed because those who research texts and references of these Ancient Gods and Goddesses, may of found references and texts about a priest of this Goddess Heret-kau, and some texts resemble that Heret-Kau figures into the temple foundations alongside two other Ancient Egyptian Goddesses Neith and Isis.
Heret-Kau's role in the underworld was and still is to protect the souls of the dead in the afterlife. Thus being said, Heret-Kau is beneath Anubis because even her parents are not well known well, this because her Father removed from all acknowledgement and removed from all historical texts and preferences, but there is one text reference from Heret-Kau's father, the text reference is acknowledged as "The Priest". But Heret-Kau's was once the high priest Imhotep of Osiris under the rule of Pharaoh Seti I. This unlike "Anubis" whom parents are The Ancient Egyptian God of War Set and The Ancient Egyptian Goddess of Protection Nephthys.
Because "Anubis" rules the entire Abyss including that of Duat (Hell) and Aaru (Paradise-Heaven) to which there are 12 gates to travel through before you reach your judgment, where your fate is decided if you enter Duat (Hell) and Aaru (Paradise-Heaven). Heret-Kau helps guide the souls of the Underworld through the passage of the12 gates of the Abyss.
