A little bit later, Avery came back with their specials.
"Here we go ladies. Lauren." She put the plate in front of her on the table. And, did the same for, Phyllis. The waitress put down their coffee and milk. "Is there anything else, I can get for, you." She, smiled softly at, them. They heard them say no thanks, then left.
Phyllis came into the bakery, and smiled when she saw Lauren and Avery.
"Hey, you two. I'll have the same, and coffee please, Avery." She, hugged her tightly. "Thank you. Hi, Lauren. No. Michael." She, sat down, and grinned at, her. "What's new. Christine must be, getting ready, to have the baby, any time now." She, smiled softly at, him.
"Avery, darling. Don't you think it's time, to call me, Lauren. I insist, that you do." She, grinned at her. "Yes, I'll have the Number 2, special. Thank you, sweetie. How are you doing. And, how is, Noah." She, smiled softly at her, again.
"Hi, Miss Newman. It's nice to meet, you. I'll be very happy, to take your order. Why, don't you come and tell me, what you would like. They gave me an office." She, looked at them, and giggled.
"Hi, Aunt Emily. How, are you." She, smiled softly, at them.
"Hi guys. I made the mistake of stopping at the, office. Boy, do I have, a lot of stuff to catch up on. I couldn't help hearing you. I'd you to meet Ella, Summer. She's in charge of handling all the orders that come in. She's amazing. I know you know, Emily.
Ella, this is Summer Newman. Summer, this is Ella, she's going to be handling your order." She, smiled softly at them.
Dylan nodded his head and smiled softly at Summer. "You're right. There is no better advertising for the bakery than the hospital. Okay, you can put an order in." He saw Emily come in and smiled. "Hey little sister." He hugged her. "I'm sorry about that. Just been busy with everything but I promise to make it up to you. Avery had some errands she had to run but she will be back. No, the bakery is not officially opened yet but will be very soon."
Emily was walking down the street window shopping when she saw Summer, inside J & M Bakery.
She, then went inside and smiled. "Summer. Hi. I haven't seen you, for a while. And, you too, Big Brother. Are you open. The bakery looks great. Where's, Avery." She, grinned at them.
"Mmm. Are you sure, I can't place a special order for, The Hospital, Uncle Dylan. I mean what better advertising than G.H. Please." She, smiled sweetly at him. We'll charge everything to, Uncle Patrick."
Dylan smiled softly when he saw Summer come in. “Hi Summer.” He stood up and went over to hug her. “We’re not officially open yet. Although, we will be very soon. Everything is just about ready. We were going to open up a few weeks ago, but Billy and Maxie asked us if we could delay it so that they could promote the bakery for us. Which they did and we have gotten so many orders already.” He heard what she said. “Thank you. We had a lot of fun.”
Dylan nodded his head and smiled softly at her. “We will definitely invite Billy and Maxie’s families.” He heard what she said about Ella and Spike. “I think that is really sweet, Avery. Victoria loved being your mentor. What you want to do for Ella and Spike is wonderful. If that is what they want to do, then you have my full support. It is a great way to give back and pay it forward.”
"And, we have to invite Maxie and Billy's family as well, for making our bakery such a success.
Oh, thank you, Dylan. It smells so good." She, took a bite. "This is so good. We're definitely going to make Ella our take out order person. We have to come up, with a better name though." She, took some more.
"I want to help Ella, the way Victoria helped me. I would love to send her to Chef school. What ever, she wants to do, Dylan. We could send her to become a Pastry Chef. That would be fantastic.
And, if Spike is this good. We could send him to school to." She, looked at him, and took some coffee.
Dylan shook his head. “I’m sorry but I ate it all.” He smirked as he went behind the counter to grab some of the containers. “Just kidding.” He laughed while putting the containers down on the table and handed her a fork. “You’re my partner. Of course, I saved some for you.” He smiled softly at her. “Yeah, Ella is amazing. She told me that when they were in Pine Valley, every night when Ryan came home from work. No matter how tired he was, he would still make dinner for all of them. So, she wanted to help out and she asked him to teach her how to cook. She also told me that Spike bakes too.” He brought over two cups of coffee and handed her one as he sat across the table from her. He heard what she said about having an opening for their immediate family first and nodded his head. “I love the sound of that, Avery. It makes perfect sense to have an opening with just our immediate family first.”
