ASGARDIA RECEIVES VISITORS

ASGARDIA HAS VISITORS

Whilst standing looking out over the mountains of her homeland she  feels something in the air, something amiss, turmoil and can’t put her hand to it.  Dressed in her long black mourning gown it is all her people see her in any more.  She has to let go of the past and move on to survive and to help her people.

Looking up to the heavens she whispers on thw wind “Send me a warrior for my people, to help me keep peace in Kavala.  They need someone that can lead them.  I do my best but Bowen was the warrior King,  But what else is this unrest I am suddenly feeling?” she spoke aloud to whoever was there.  Then she heard footsteps.  Turning she saw her Chief Commander Curacus coming to her with a worried look on his face.

 “My Queen, there are wounded soldiers at the gate.  They are wanting medical assistance.  What do you wish for me to do my Queen?”  He had long admired her but her grief had been so strong no one would reach her.  If only he could, but she was a Queen of Kindness and Healing.  He knew her answer before she spoke it.

So this was it that was so foreboding… Death at her doorstep!  “Curacus!  By all means let them in and get them to the Infirmary immediately.  I will gather the healers and be waiting there for them.  Post haste Curacus!” she ordered.  As he left she turned and went to the stairwell that led down to the lower level where the healers and apothecary had an infirmary with natural medications.

Asgardia herself was a healer of great powers but it took a lot out of her.  Her soul was broken.  Half of it lay shriveled inside of her.  But she never turned injured away no matter of race, creed or species.  Down in the Infirmary she started giving directions to the healers and apothecary.  They waited to see what had been found on their doorsteps.

Queen Asgardia of Kavala, Kingdom of Atlantis (T_L Sisigmund){TAK}

The Rise Of The Dead Men- Through Gas And Death IOV The Austrian rebellion was doing so well until it was gassed out. At least a few platoons escaped from being injured in the initial conflict as they fled to Asgardia's land to report the problems of the war itself. The rest? Well, many were coughing up blood, and the goblins seemed to be winning the battle only because they were reinforced by a new division of enemies on their way to take Austria. This was hell, but Sisigmund is an ideal knight. He knows how to win, and there is no greater way than knightly valour. Sisigmund looks around him as he watches his countrymen being gassed and then the goblins taking control. He dips a piece of cloth in water as he ties it around his face to make a primitive gas mask ,and instructs many fellow warriors to do the same. Blinded by coughing, though, many of the Austrians hold the line with pike and shot. Durnheim was to survive because the enemy did not commence shelling with anything but gas yet, and its commander was valiant. Sisigmund ordered his warriors, “ orderly retreat, do not leave a single man uncovered!” The flanks of the rebellion began to fight harder as the center slowly moves back to the castle. On top of the castle, primitive cannons and culverins blast down their ball towards the oncoming soldiers as The Austrians retreat orderly, not to be routed, but graceful even in the set back they are to face. The melee weapons were enough to cause an advantage as the warriors face rapid and sure goblin onslaught. Sisigmund joins the rear guard as he takes out his long sword and his pistol. He jumps onto the parapet of a trench as he shoots forth towards one goblin regiment and prepares the way for his soldiers to retreat. His desire is to make sure that he was the last to escape the enemy and to force the battle to be in Durnheim- a very difficult fortress to siege because of the flood surrounding the castle and the city. The rear guard shoots their muskets on the first line before the whole file retreats to be behind and reload as the next shoot and retreat in the same manner. The third, then fourth and at the fifth, the pikemen hold the line only to do similarly to prevent the goblins from unleashing aggressive tactics and to make up for the slowness of the musketry. Over their heads, the cannons roar trying to attack and break the enemy to allot more time to the Austrian retreating column. Black powder forces a man-made fog in to the sky as the firearms unleash hell after hell. The Austrian artillerist and musketeers were nothing to underestimate. The smoke caused Sisigmund an impetuous morale as his men are capable of retreating to the castle relatively safely. He sends out a young hunger (jaeger) to send Queen Asgardia a message. A request for help as he had heard of her services and he was desperate. The coming months would be a most dangerous battle. The fate of Austria relied upon it. The only thing that made Sisigmund certain that Wilfred would not be ruthless was the use of the tear gas when there were possibly more dangerous gasses he could unleash on his people.

Asgardia was standing looking out over beautiful Kavala. The high snow covered mountains under a dark gray sky was akin to her inner most feelings. Feelings of loneliness! As she stood there one of the priests from the abbey came to her with a message.

“Your Majesty, The war in Austria is drawing close and there are troops that have come here with their wounded. What orders do you wish given in the surgery my Queen?” the middle aged priest asked.

Asgardia read the written message then turned. “Jarvic we must see to them. Bid them enter and be shown to the surgery immediately. I do not approve of war but I will leave none injured and suffering. I will come and be in attendance as well.”

With that she turned and walked with the priest to the abbey’s hospital surgery. The priest sent word immediately for this Sisigmund and his troops to gain entry and the walls be closed behind them. They were to be taken immediately to the Abbey surgery to be tended to. The cooks had been given orders to prepare food and broth for them and drink was brought up from the winery.

As the men were brought into the surgery the priests and nurses set to attending each man when Jarvik came upon one. He looked at the bloodied face of the man but there was no mistaking that face, the height, body structure. … Surely it could not be him … King Bowden?!

Immediately Jarvick took preventative measures until they knew more. He had the man separated from the others and put in a private room. But he ordered no one but he should be allowed to enter here without his strict permission. Not a word of his suspicions should be whispered even around until he knew what this was? Especially to keep the Queen from this room for her own benefit for if it was the King returned he was in dire state and if it were someone that looked like Bowden then she did not need the shock until Jarvik knew the whole and complete story. After the others left the room he went to work tending the wounds of this man and giving him food and drink for nourishment. When the man could speak well enough Jarvik asked him. “So Sir Knight, what is your name and from whence did you come, I mean before this war?”
