This is just a basic summary for now. I need to fix some things, but this is the gist.

THE PAST

Alexander Lenkov (her grandfather) invented a firearm that could kill almost anything supernatural after a vampire killed his wife. When loaded with normal bullets, it somehow changes the bullets to be able to kill whatever it hits even if a regular gun wouldn't have killed them otherwise (Tbh I'm kinda taking this from the show Supernatural a little bit but also have no idea how I'm gonna have the gun actually work just yet lmao). That's how her family first gained their wealth. He came up with some other inventions, raised his son - Alexander Lenkov II - to loath supernatural beings, learn the business, and come up with some of his own inventions (that I'm still trying to think of). He met his wife when he was about 35, got married, and... 

Boop. Adeline Alexandra Lenkov was born. (There's a whole Russian naming system with their middle names that I just don't wanna mess with right now, so I'm leaving it as Alexandra lmao)

Sadly, her mother died during childbirth because this was back when healthcare was even more of a joke than it is now (at least in the US.)

I think I'm gonna have her birthday be in 1908, and turned into a vampire in 1942 during the Holocaust when a German soldier assaulted her and left her for dead while she was traveling in Poland to visit a friend who'd moved out of Russia before World War II started. She doesn't remember who it was that saved her; she just knows she was basically dead and woke up not human anymore. (So maybe part of her wanting to take over her father's business is that it might be the best way of finding whoever saved her life eventually.) 

Lost, confused, and full of this strange new thirst, she finally managed to make her way back home to tell her father what happened, but all he saw was a monster when he looked at her. Hatred for supernatural beings, especially vampires, clouded his judgement and he tried to use one of the weapons his father created to kill her. Her new instincts kicked in; she was faster, stronger, and had superhuman senses that helped her avoid the shot, but in her anger and sadness, she ended up killing him. 

The family's staff and guards had no reason to believe it was Adeline because she hadn't announced her arrival home yet and made sure to clean herself up and act shocked when she 'discovered his body.' The fact he had puncture wounds to his throat made them just immediately believe an attack had been planned because of what business they were in. Addie had to get good at hiding who she was, but the best way she found to control herself was making sure to drink from someone at least once every day. That became increasingly more difficult because her grandfather (who was surprisingly still alive at this point) had upped the guards and security at the main estate in fear of her safety. 

One day she was just too thirsty and let it slip to her maid that she'd been turned, but luckily convinced her not to say anything because they had a close relationship. Her maid, Anya, offered her own blood to Adeline to help prevent her from losing control. That's how she found out she actually has venom she can inject at will into another person's bloodstream that causes a sensation of pleasure, ranging from mild to intense depending on the person. It came in handy when biting strangers when she managed to get away from security because they'd only scream for a second or two, so it was less likely anyone would hear. If she killed them, well, at least they died feeling good. Anya was the one who initially got her into the dominant lifestyle and became her first 'pet.' 

It was only a few months after returning home that her grandfather passed away and the entire business was left to her, because she was her father's only child. He never remarried. So she went on to learn more, build up the company (I'm thinking maybe Lenkov Inc or something? I dunno ugh) and brought the supernatural killing business into the 21st century even though she was one. To avoid suspicion from humans, they also make and sell normal firearms and weapons, and they often supply these to the military, police forces, and other government businesses. She'll never admit it, but she also allows sales to certain crime groups and individuals if the pay is high enough.

THE PRESENT 

At present, only a few people know about her, including Anya who she eventually turned (around the age of 50) so she could always be with her. Unfortunately, as time went on, Adeline changed and became lost in the power she had, so her and Anya's relationship shifted from loving to treating her more like a regular servant, and she denied her request to resign the job and leave. So Anya's pretty much a slave in the current timeline. There are other servants, a constant supply of guards/security, and even some prisoners in the dungeon area of the estate that she drinks from and torments when she wants, mostly thieves or people who tried to slight her. 

Now she controls the company through proxies to help keep her identity hidden except from other powerful families. She spends most of her free time messing with her pets, drinking wine, and keeping her ears out for anyone or anything that might lead her to the vampire who saved her, or for other beings that catch her interest.
