Nari and her family were visiting the small town of Taylor, Mississippi, located in the northern part of the state and whose population had, over the course of several years, mysteriously shrunk from five hundred people to only around three hundred less than friendly, although at the same time somewhat frightened and reclusive individuals, none of whom ever wished to discuss the real reason why so many men, women, even innocent and defenseless children had seemingly vanished without a trace, but Nari and her parents, older brother and younger sister were repeatedly warned to leave Taylor and never come back again, although no one would ever tell them exactly why this particular area was so dangerous to human beings in general, thus resulting in more than a little confusion and frustration on Nari's part, for she was the most inquisitive member of her family, always asking questions while often never getting the proper answers either, so eventually they decided to camp out in the woods nearby this mysterious, unpleasant town, unaware that soon they would deeply regret ever coming to Taylor, Mississippi.

"This looks like a nice place to make camp for tonight, so let's get our tents set up while there's still some daylight left."

Nari's father Ha-jun finished talking as he pleasantly smiled at her brother Kwan, mother Jiwoo and sister Cho-hee, then each family member did their part and soon enough, both tents were now ready for them to call it a day, although after night began the surrounding area became strangely silent, but only Nari seemed to really notice it though, yet even she managed to just shrug it off before going to bed, for this was nothing new due to the family often camping out whenever possible, but tonight the silence would eventually be broken, yet at the moment everyone continued sleeping peacefully despite the ominous silence.

Andy Clanton and his three younger brothers were out deer hunting, or rather poaching due to none of them having a license to legally hunt in the first place, and besides, even such an activity became illegal after dark, but these backwoods hardcases didn't care about such things as law and order, yet before they could climb into their tree stands, which had previously been set up two weeks earlier, a loud, powerful howl emanated from only yards away as a pair of yellow eyes were now clearly visible for the three startled, no doubt surprised men to see! Standing nine feet tall and weighing eight hundred pounds, covered in black fur with round instead of pointed ears, the alpha male dogman was truly an incredible force to be reckoned with, yet his speed and agility were also equally impressive as well, and before the four brothers could react two of them had already been taken down by this massive beast, as long, sharp claws easily sliced through flesh and bone, spilling blood while also severing tendons as the first man began choking on his own putrid tasting crimson, but the second brother suffered an even worse fate, by having his intestines ripped out while the dogman literally gutted him alive, before turning to sink its deadly fangs into the third scared, nearly too frightened by shock to even breath man's neck, using very little effort to decapitate him as Andy pissed himself on the spot.

"Goddamn it! What the fuck!"

Finally raising his twelve gauge shotgun, he somehow mustered up enough courage to begin firing all eight rounds from the semi-automatic weapon, most of which actually hit their spot yet caused the dogman very little, if any harm whatsoever, as it continued butchering Andy's three younger brothers, before finally pouncing on top of him as the creature's sheer weight broke more than a few ribs, but all he could do was cry out for his mother as the dogman's hot, rancid breath could now be felt uncomfortably close to his face!

One strong, savage bite to Andy's neck, coupled with the hideous beast shaking its large head back and forth several times, was all it took to remove this unfortunate human's head from his pathetic and weak body, as the triumphant animal howled in sheer, unadulterated delight, while also covered in the blood and gore of his slain victims, but compared to the average person these four Mississippi rednecks were rather large, for all of them stood over six feet tall and weighed over two hundred pounds, yet contrasted against the alpha male dogman, they may as well have been flies on the wall because they stood absolutely no chance whatsoever! The hungry creature then began feasting on these savagely butchered men, and would most definitely be eating its fill and then some, before finally sleeping his meals off until the next afternoon arrived, for dogmen were most certainly not werewolves at all, and they never needed a full moon in order to go about their gruesome business of laying waste to whomever was unfortunate enough to cross paths with these deadly beasts!

Nari's family heard distant howls which woke them up just after midnight, but since it was several miles away they really couldn't make out who, or perhaps what those sounds belonged to, yet eventually things died down and her family went back to bed, but Nari remained awake because she had a bad feeling about this, and didn't know exactly what to do about it right now, yet common sense told her to stay fully alert and either warn her family if danger was nearby, or at least strongly encourage everyone to make a run for it should things become unsafe, but deep down inside Nari knew that they might not survive the night after all, yet she had no idea that another intimidating entity would be arriving before morning came, and this notorious cryptid was even larger and more powerful than the one who'd just ruthlessly slaughtered an entire group of men!
