Then
“And where are you
going, dear sister?” Silas asked from the messy bed where he lay on the bed. He
was disheveled, and red, with smeared lipstick all over his face and body. He
was only wearing the blanket, draped across his lower half.
Satori gave him a
smirk as she climbed out of the bed, completely naked. “Off to my studies, as
always. Knowledge is power. I plan to learn everything I can about our future realm
before we take it back.” She twirled, giving a small giggle as she headed
towards her closet. “Just because you overtake a realm, doesn’t mean you
automatically know how to rule.” She quickly rummaged through her closet,
before finding her attire and slipping it on.
“And do you plan on
ruling your looks?”
“Actually, I think
that’s what you plan on doing, Silas. That or fucking the entire realm to win
yourself over.” She shot him a look before she slipped on her heels.
Silas said nothing
but let out a laugh.
“I’ll be back to warm
you bed later.” Satori smiled sweetly, before she disappeared leaving Silas to
himself.

Satori had hidden the
truth of her real studies under the lie of learning to rule a kingdom. Instead,
she had met a Demonic Priestess, who happened to dabble in Demonic Arts. Of
course, Satori already knew some. She was a demon, Succubus to be exact,
however, and like most demons they had some magic under their belt. Some more
than others, the higher class, and the ones with the purest blood, and thanks
to her bloodline being directly connected to the Lord Satan’s, she had even
more access to the magic in her blood. She had wished to learn more, to expand
her powers.
The Priestess, whom
still hadn’t shared her name with Satori yet, was reluctant at first. Even with
Satori’s claims of being a princess and being the granddaughter of Satan. The
Priestess had claimed it was all just titles, and such titles didn’t have
effect on her.
And now here, Satori
stood looking at the various books, and jars resting in the little hidden cave
behind a inferno of hellfire. She studied one of the jars. A black wisp-like
thing floating one in one of the jars. She could almost hear it call to her.
Her finger touched the glass, and the moment she did the priest gave a small
tsk, “Don’t touch Satori. Do I have to tell you every time?”
“Apologies. I can’t
help but be curious.” Satori forced herself to drag her eyes from the jar, and
she sat in the middle of a circle with satanic runes drawn on it. Her legs
crossed each other, and her hands rested palms up.
“Remember what we
have practiced.” The priestess ordered, and the candles went out, the room
entirely pitch black, minus the red burning candles on each of the runes
surrounding her. Satori gave a small nod and let out a slow breath.
“Tene hoc sanguinem
terrae te digue perdant.” She whispered softly, then once again, her voice
slowly getting louder. “Tene hoc sanguinem terrae te digue perdant!”
“Good, good. Keep
going Satori.” The priestess whispered.
“Carne teneantur
tenere tenebrasque. Palatium, carcere!” Satori’s eyes opened; pure blackness
filled them. A depthless void. The air around them shifted, wind seemingly
appeared out of nowhere. It stirred the random papers, and the hair on the
Priestess and Satori.
The runes surrounding
her started to glow, softly at first and then brighter the more she chanted. The
wind picked up even more, harsher now. Satori’s hair whipped around her, paper
scattered, the flickers of the candles could no longer be seen as they had been
blown out. She was only illuminated by the glowing runes.
“Satori, that is
enough for today.”
Satori could not hear
her. For her, it was silent, except for a small voice calling to her, forcing
her to continue her chanting. A harsh gasp escaped her throat as she continued.
Books flew off their shelves and the tables and counters rattled as if an
earthquake were happening. Things fell out of their places, shattering on the
ground.
“Satori Amida!” The
Priestess commanded louder, dashing over to the princess. She placed a hand on
Satori’s forehead and began chanting her own words. Yet Satori’s overpowered
her own. Black blood dripped from her eyes and trickled down her nose.
The priestess
continued to chant, until she was screaming. The rune circle glowed brightly
until it erupted into hellfire, and then it went out. Satori fell back,
collapsing onto the ground. Everything was still now.
Panting the priestess
cursed under her breath as everyone illuminated back to normal. Everything was
disheveled, and a mess. Books had been thrown across the room, random glass had
shattered. The priestess’s focus wasn’t on that now. She was focused on Satori.
Grabbing a napkin, she dabbled away at the blood on Satori’s nose and eyes.
Suddenly, Satori shot
up, her eyes still black as her hand wrapped around the Priestess’s throat,
squeezing, starting to crush her windpipe. The priestess gasped, wide eyed at
Satori, clawing at her arm. Just as suddenly as it started, it stopped.
Satori’s eyes went to normal, and she looked at the Priestess in shock until she
let go of her throat. “What…” She looked confused.
It took a moment, for
the priestess to regain herself, and she swallowed. ‘It is fine, Satori… we did
too much too fast. You are fine. It’s fine.” She gave a strained smile.
“I’m so sorry. I
didn’t…” Satori looked wide eyed.
“It is fine. Go home,
Satori. I will clean up here.”
Satori nodded and quickly
got up; her eyes surveyed the room before she took quick steps to make her way
out. Her foot stepped on crushed glass, and she looked down at it. There
shattered to pieces was the jar that had contained the black wisp, the wisp itself,
nowhere to be found. Satori took shot a quick glance at the priestess, wanting
to say something but she didn’t, she quickly left the Priestess to clean the
mess Satori had made.

“I didn’t realize learning
to rule a kingdom required you to look as if you tumbled with another demon.”
Silas smirked at Satori as she walked back into their chambers.
Satori shot him a
dirty look, before she made her way to the bathroom. Stopping in front of the
mirror, she looked at herself. Her hair was disarrayed, blood still smeared on
her face. Dark circles under her eyes. Right between her collarbones, a small
black smear laid. Her fingers slowly came to touch it, trying to rub it away,
yet it didn’t move nor smear. She rubbed at it faster, yet it still didn’t
budge.
Slowly her eyes
traveled back to the mirror, meeting her own, yet her reflection smiled back at
her. Dark, cruel, and sadistic. “You’re mine now, princess.” Her reflection
spoke to her, before it disappeared, and she was left, wide eyes and worried.
Whatever had been in
that jar, hadn’t been a wisp, but a soul. It had claimed her body during the
mess that had happened with the Priestess; it wanted Satori’s body as it’s own.
~Little did Satori
know, the soul had belonged to a crazed demoness, who got off on the pain of
others, and itself. A killer that killed it’s own kind, and others, that had
wanted free – and it had found it’s escape through the Princess.~
