Ryleigh was born of The Golden Isles; into a race of Mer people who live on land, surrounded by the ocean of course. Their home is majickally guarded from outsiders. However as a young maid, Ryleigh had a tendency to swim far from the majickal safeguards, that protected the island and its inhabitants. Against her Father; the Kings wishes. One fateful day she found herself captured aboard a boat and taken far from her homeland. Years later, Ryleigh escaped and found her way back home, unfortunately her return was bitter sweet for upon her return she was to discover that her Father was dead, and now she as the oldest born took on the mantle of Queen of The Golden Isles.
