His true origins remained an tricky mystery, it is known that Ninian was seemingly abandoned by his biological parents and was later adopted by an faerie king and queen ruling their realm hidden away from human eyes and therefore Ninian was raised there as if he was their own child alongside his older brother Gwydion, the faerie prince whom they always seemed to naturally teach other like brothers and in this case Gwydion grew overprotective of the youngster.

As years went on, it was obvious he was different from his adoptive family; clearly, especially soon as he reached fourteen years of age Ninian couldn't recall what events occurred until it became clear to him he had changed and had brutally butchered his childhood sweetheart, an faerie named Caoilfhoinn who did survived the attack but immediately left their realm following the incident. It became something that did drove Ninian to become absolutely guilt-ridden and angered by learning what he was born with, but that anger also turned on his own parents who he accused of knowing what he was before the attack.

Still within his youth, due to the outrage he left his home realm and began to travel in hopes for perhaps an cure for his supernatural disease or an way to help maintain his control over his animalistic rampages. Over the years he never stayed in one place for long, often lasting an week or an month then off Ninian went and over the years he had traveled with a group of witches - whom helped him learn to balance his human-like and animalistic nature that seemed to help better his control enough to even change forms at his own will and control without his mind going off the grid.
