Aten was a lesser God in ancient Egypt and never craved the attention and devotion that some of the more powerful gods received. The same worship that made them stronger and more powerful. However his peaceful life on the sidelines of Egyptian culture was turned on its head, when an Egyptian Pharaoh named Akhenaten assumed control of the great kingdom and turned against centuries of tradition by making the kingdom follow a mono faith, forsaking the numerous gods they had worshipped for just the one. The one true God name The Aten.
The period of worship made The Aten stronger, but it was not a power or role he desired. To make matters worse, the old Gods blamed The Aten himself feeling he had manipulated the new Pharaoh whilst many of the Egyptian people questioned it. They had always taken the Pharaohs word as law, believing him to be a God, but if The Aten was the only God, the Pharaohs own word could be false. After a short period Akhenaten was murdered mysteriously and the old Gods returned, shunning The Aten from their temples.
Despite his innocence The Aten sought to redeem himself not only to the other Gods but his people. He traveled to Egypt living as a traveler in human form, aiming to help all those he could. Redeeming himself one human at a time throughout all of history.
