Messer Blaise Landry is a French gentleman, adventurer, rake, gendarme, soldier and poet, who is a veteran of the thirty years war and trainer of the Grande Conde. He had trained and mastered the every weapon, including musket by his training among the gendarme. He enjoys women, adventure and boozing as much as he does enjoy arts.
During the 30 years war, he was injured during Lens, and during the Frondes Des Nobles, he escaped with Turenne only to fight for Turenne and the Royalist Forces to defeat Conde and his rebellion. He also fought for Turenne in the battles against Montecuccoli during the Dutch War only to retire and become a professional adventurer.
