Braylin walked beside Lok while they looked over the buffet. Her tummy rumbling at the sight of all the delicious selections her hubby placed on her plate. There were things she had never even though to try before, but seeing them spread out colorfully on the plates made her mouth water. Her hand rested on his warm lower back when the plates were full, she smiled catching a glimpse of her beautiful niece Nyla. Braylin lifted her hand to her mouth and blew her a kiss then waved. Her head turned seeing Lok no longer beside her. She smiled again then made her way to the shaded table he selected. Braylin gracefully sat in the seat offered and waited for her handsome husband to join her. "Everything looks so delicious lovebug. Thank you." She pinched a green olive between her finger and thumb gave her hubby a wink then popped it into her mouth.
Lok picked up two seashell shaped plates and held them both with one hand, fanning them out so that he could heap food on both plates at the same time. He detached his arm from Bray's waist to handle a large spoon as he walked decisively around the buffet table. He was going to behave like a real lady's man and select for Bray some food, as well as his own. After loading up with enough food, he took a long legged stride to the nearest table in the shade beneath a palm tree and set down both plates. He stood waiting for his Wifey to sit down first and then he would too.
Braylin offered a sincere smile to Loks aunt. She would have to ask more about her later when they were alone. She seemed intriguing. Feeling content with his arm snaked around her eaist, she hurried herself beside him and walked towards Zara and Acheron. "Yes love, I do need to eat." She smiled. Her own arm wrapped around his lower back. "Feels like I could eat a whole cow." Her lip pouted at how hungry she had become lately.
She was definitely on cloud nine. The sea breeze tangling her damp hair while the warm sand beneath her feet tickled between her toes. She felt like she was finally where she was born to be. She never imagined a day she would walk among gods and demons. The smile on her face said it all.
She gave her husband's side a squeeze as she saw his parents happy and so much in love. She hoped that would be forever her and her husband as well. Braylin waved seeing the Empress Camari arrive. She smiled in the direction with a wave an a wink towards Zaharina and Ash. The zombies in Hawaiian shorts were the most amusing and genius things she's ever seen. She couldn't help but laugh softly. "This is all too surreal. Its more than I could have ever asked for lovebug." She spoke sofly then looked up at Lok. "My smexxii husband.. damn I'm one heck of a lucky girl." Bray grinned then lifted up on her tiptoes to kiss his warm cheek.
It was so wonderful. A beautiful couple found together and now they became one as husband and wife. This time Camari entered the beach like a normal woman. No darkness no fog and nothing evil. A warm smile on her face. A thin summer dress her pale naked feed stepped into the warm sand. Needing a moment to get used to the warm and bright sun. Making her way over to the Couple.
"Dear Lok and Dear Braylin. In the name of the whole ETH I send warm congratulations to you both. We are happy you found each other and celebrate it now to be one." Hugging them both
Nyghtwolfe was glad that everyone seems to be having a good time. The spontaneous dance with her husband was much more than she hoped for. When the music changed tempo and the dancing took a pause, she found a cushion to sit upon. Sweeping her gaze out past the beach, she watched her son and his wife frolic in the waves together for a while. Lok seemed very happy. He always had a carefree attitude, but still she could see how he delighted in the time spent in Braylin's company. From her cushion, she lifted her hand in the air to wave in greeting at them, even though they were both too involved in amusing each other to notice her. She saw Arabella and Zoey also, but they likewise were preoccupied having their own fun.
Nyghtwolfe was doubly surprised to see her half-sister appear. She would have called her over to sit and chat for a spell, but didn't get much of a chance to. Athena was here and gone before she'd realized it. Athena was tolerant of Nyghtwolfe's marriage to Misos but she held her own high standards that could never be obtained by any mate of her own. A soft sigh escaped as she surveyed who else was here, seeing Zaharina and her male date sampling the food. It had been many years since she'd last seen the son of Apollymi on Atlantis soil. She wondered how his mother was faring these days. The Destructor, as they nicknamed her, had been far too quiet lately. There was bound to be a storm brewing after the calm. But today was not her day to worry about it.
"Very well" Minerva vanishes. "Toodles!!"
Her obligation to involve herself momentarily in her sister's family was fulfilled. She never cared much for loitering. She had worlds to create and to destroy.
While swimming with Bray, Lok had not noticed the other friends who had arrived, but now he did. It was a perfect distraction away from his cheek pinching hoity toity Aunt.
"Hey look, there's Zaharina and Achron. Hi you two!!" Lok waved to them as he kidnapped Bray away with an arm snuggled around her waist. "We should get something to eat too. Are you hungry, my sweet sexy beautiful wifey?"
He waved a hand back at his Aunt, "Bye Auntie Olympus. Nice to see you again. Have a safe flight back!" He giggled, already knowing that she'd disappear the same way she popped in ... unexpectedly.
She swallowed hard and pressed her palm to Loks lower back. Her thumb moved in a soothing circular motion. She knew Nit to worry. Lok was in control over his tempers ans she was very proud of him. She turned her head and kissed his shoulder with a smile.
His aunts blessing was welcomed and deeply appreciated. It was the first blessing from a goddess that Braylin ever received. Her free hand cupped to her bare protruding tummy and she blushed a radiant glow. Not many were aware they were expecting. They had not made a huge announcement, but it made Braylin happy that their child would be welcomed.
Minerva scoffed with a contemptuous huff. She had not expected her nephew to mature overnight, but in due time ... she knew he would slowly get there.
"Oh pshaw, don't be silly. Alright, very well, as you wish it; there'll be no more pinching of the cheeks ... and especially not down there." She pointed to his rump with a disgusted scrunch of her nose..
"Well I must be going then. Congratulations, and all. I have mortals to Smite.", she laughed and looked intentionally at Acheron.
"What is it with old ladies and cheek pinching!!?" Lok bellows out, pulling his face out of range of his Aunt's cruel fingers. "Damn it Auntie Olympus. I'm not a baby anymore. No more pinching!!"
He sighed, realizing that he had made a dramatic scene. Feeling his wife's warm body pressing closer to him, gave Lok that stability he needed to not go more on the rant. He shrugged a shoulder, "I'm sorry Auntie. I didn't mean it like that."
The bad boy inside of Lok snuck out and he turned his body a little to show his posterior, "Pinch those cheeks instead. There's more cushion on them."
Lok laughed with hysterics at his rude joke. But he knew his Auntie could handle it. The more important thing was he saved himself from embarrassment for the earlier temper outburst.
Bray ran her hands through her hair once on shore. She strained the water from her blonde locks then held tightly to her loves hand.
She knew Lok had a big family and she hadn't met most of them. She was indeed nervous, but she was also eager to meet the people related to her new husband.
Braylin smiled politely and extended her hand to his aunt. "Pleasure to meet you, ma'am." Braylin then nuzzle into Loks side with a slight chill.
"Oh" Minerva spoke with a repressed shudder to see Acheron again. Not that she had anything personal against him, but it wasn't that very long ago that she had crossed paths with his twin brother Styxx and they had discussed him in the brief interlude. She was surprised to see the Dark Hunter accompanied by a stunning beautiful woman. Had he finally settled down? Minerva wondered.
Her reverie was interrupted by the arrival of her nephew Lok and his wife, who she had motioned over to meet. Minerva sprinkled more dahlias on them both, "A blessing upon you both."
She lowered her eyes upon the small protrusion of Braylin's stomach and smiled knowingly, "Oh I see you're already blessed with fertility. How quaint!"
Minerva pinched Lok's cheeks between her thumb and forefinger, "I knew you had it in you!!!"
She turned her smile upon Braylin, "You've done a good job with this one, so I hear. it is my pleasure to finally make your acquaintance."
"Oh crap!" Lok suddenly exclaimed, "There's my Aunt from that big Greek mountain Olympus I think she wants to meet you."
Lok took hold of Bray's hand and together they swam back to shore to meet his Aunt. She was a strange person, he always thought. Sometimes she wanted to be called Athena and other days, Minerva. She was a moody goddess too, sometimes. Thankfully she didn't bother with him too often. He never knew exactly what to call her, so he always called her Auntie Olympus.
"Auntie Olympus", he said with a proud and happy grin, "This is my Wife Braylin. We was married yesterday."
Their moment was one from a storybook. The young man with boyish ways that she had met so long ago was now the most mature and loving man that was the other half of her soul. Most saw him for his jokes, rebellion and badass ways. Braylin saw a side of her husband no one ever has, nor ever will. She melted into his arms as if a magnet held her in place. Her slightly wrinkled fingers combed through his wet raven locks while she gazed back into his eyes.
Moments like this were ones she completely cherished. A man of so few words at times, Bray felt his words etch deep onto her heart. She was thankful her lashes were wet from the ocean water. She didn't want him to see her eyes well up with happy tears. Her lips pressed ever so lovingly against his. She pressed soft kisses to his lips, his chin, his nose and forehead then gazed deeply into his eyes. "I'll love you until the end of days, sweetheart. And even when that day comes.." She smiled a smile of admiration and undying love for him. "I'll love you in spirit and never falter. Thank you for loving me the way you do."
Their moment was shared in private, but outshines the entire party. Braylin embraced her husband affectionately then heard someone call his name. "I believe you are needed ashore baby."
Captured in his arms, Lok was smothered in her kisses. He giggled and got down and cozy with his fun loving wife. he clung to her as they bobbed together in the water like a pair of buoys, rising with the waves and sinking into inbetween. He sighed with deep contentment and gazed long into her wet lashes, seeing his own reflected image i n her eyes. Lok marveled at how damn lucky he truly was to have this beautiful woman as his own wife; to love and cherish for all the days of their life. Lok smoothed back her soaked hair from her face and kissed her with the passionate swelling of emotions bursting in his heart. He said to her, "You know, I really love you. I didn't know before what love was, and you showed me how great it is. It is the best feeling ever!! Thank you Braylin Edwards Orcus for being my wife."
