While Bryn had cast a weary eyes to the congregation at the mention of objections it hadn't lasted long, not when she was faces with looking across at Jor. His reaction brought her bright smile firmly back into place, and her eyes didn't leave his until Viola spoke to her. She was nodding long before the girl finished and once it was time for her to speak she did so through her smile, "Yes, i really really do."
Viola grinned at her brother earnest reaction and nodding turned her slight frame towards the bride to begin again. "Will you Brynhildr have this Man to be thy wedded husband, to live together in Matrimony? Will you obey him, and serve him, love, and honor him, forsaking all other, keep thee only unto him, so long as ye both shall live? "
Jor;s face seemed to light up even more when his sister spoke to start the ceremony he looked at his sister before his gaze fell upon Bryn once more and he smiled wide at her. Of course no one dared to say anything to stop their union but Jor did glare out into the little crowd of his family regardless it was in his nature and when his sister started again he looked to Bryn and he was nodding the whole time. "I absolutely do!" he spoke loud and proud.
Being a close friend of the King Thor and Queen Amora of Asgard, the Dark goddess makes an appearance at this festive occasion to bear witness to the marital union of Jormungand and Brynhildr. Once again the warm friendly atmosphere of the Infinity Chapel engulfed her, offering a deep feeling of peacefulness and tranquility. Many of the Yggdrasil guests and family members she'd recognize from the earlier ball hosted by her dear friend Skadi. Yes, there were a few of Thor's family, she recognized the trickster Loki, looking quite dapper ... and from the Club Scarab fights, the enigmatic Svala displaying an elegant side to her personality.
Nyghtwolfe found a vacant seat in the middle row and claimed it. She sat quietly with observant eyes appreciating the beautiful gowns that the other ladies wore. While she herself was mostly gothic in attire, it was a refreshing splash of brightly vibrant color that delighted her eyes this day. The music was soothing to the goddess' ears and she found it to be relaxing on the nerves. The entire week of stress that the Empress of Atlantis had endured, now melted away in a matter of a just few mere minutes.
Violas first thought watching the bride walking down was how well she seemed to match her brother. Both had this dark intimating look about them, though neither seemed something to fear just then. The bride was beaming and her brother wiping at his eyes. When they both stood before her she smiled clearing her throat before she spoke, her voice rising enough so their family could all hear. "Dearly beloved, we are gathered together here today to join this Man and this Woman in holy Matrimony. If anyone can show any just cause, why they may not be joined together, let him now speak, or for ever hold his peace." Viola looked around but only saw the smiling faces of those closest to the bride and groom. Smiling again she turned to her brother and began. "Will you Jormungand have this Woman to be thy wedded wife, to live together in Matrimony? Will you love her, comfort her, honor, and keep her, forsaking all other, keep thee only unto her, so long as ye both shall live?"
Jor noticed his littlest sister Brenda walking down tossing pedals he thought she would get side tracked with the enchanted pedals falling from the trees but she did her job well and owned up to it. He watched her until he caught sight of his bride to be. Bryn was breath taking and he felt all the air leave his lungs at the sight of her. She always been so beautiful but today was so much more special. He quickly dabbed at his eyes again happy tears welling up in the corners and when she stood in front of him his lips pulled into a large smile. "You look beautiful." he whispered and moved to help her up the steps so they could stand in front of his sister.
Watching Brenda walking ahead of her Brynhildr laughed, and it was with that smile that she started her own procession out and down the isle. She hadnt gone for the traditional white, her dress was a pale silver and glittered in the sunlight that filtered down through the trees. Her inky hair hung around ivory shoulders and the stark green of her eyes glowed against such muted colors. Still her eyes found their mark and nothing else even mattered. Her smile shifted into something softer, more personal when her eyes settled on Jor, and it was him she walked to, not paying attention to the isle or the family surrounding them.
The plan of the adults over her head had been for Brynhildr to hold Brendas hand until it was time to begin. Then she would urge the girl out and follow shortly after. But Brenda was so excited to start that when her hand was free she started to walk without any prompting from Bryn. Her basket still swung wildly. And she tossed the petals around so they fluttered everywhere, one getting tuck in her hair in the process. Still she smiled the whole time, liking the music and how her whole family watched her go by with a smile.
Loki looked up to see Lady Veronica coming to sit down beside him and he smiled up at her and helped her sit so she didn't disturb the sleeping baby and he leaned over to whisper who the girl was with his son. He told her about all of his children a few times but Viola's picture hung around the castle of Asgard alot. Loki looked back to see Brenda getting excited about her job for the day and his lips pulled into a smile.
Veronica was late in following Loki out to sit down. She had stayed with Brenda, who was now clinging to Brynhildrs hand, swinging her flower girls basket wildly. Loki had said petals were enchanted to fall so Brenda would have help in her duties. Still she had lingered as long as she could with her and was only allowed to leave when Brenda realized she liked holding Brynhildrs hand very much. She was ready to toss her petals and so sure she would lead the way up the isle Veronica holding Aslaug asleep in her arms went to slid into place beside Loki, looking across him to where Svala looked star struck up ahead.
Jor wiped under his eyes when he noticed both his father and sister hugging Viola. He shook his father's hand and gave him a smile for his words and he nodded his head. "Thanks." he took a deep breath shaking his arms and rolling his head so he could relax and try not to cry any more as he waited for the ceremony to start.
Loki pressed a kiss to both of his daughter's foreheads before he turned to his son to shake his hand. "I want to congratulate you today. I have never been more proud of you then I am today of you." he smiled and he hooked his arm in Svala's so she didn't distract her sister and he lead them back towards the seats leaving a empty space for Lady Veronica after she helped Brenda be the flower girl.
Viola was enveloped in two very tight hugs that made her instantly want to cry. But today was a happy day so she fixed a smile on her face she didn't let fall. To bother their father and to Svala she whispered that all would be explained later, and simply returned the tight embraces.
Lagertha was quiet a she slipped into a seat at the very back of the rest of her family. She was a newer addition to the family and didnt want to be seen so much as see everyone else, and take in how pretty everything was.
Svala had been coming out not to far behind her father, and she stopped short watching him with a confused arch to her brow. She had been about to slip into a seat when Loki pulled back from the person he was hugging and Svala felt like she had been punched directly in the stomach. Cursing herself for donning a dress for the occasion she slid back into the isle and rushed as fast as skirts would allow her. She didnt let Viola say anything to Loki before she hooked the arm closest to her around her twins neck and squeezed her into half a hug. Her other should dug apologetically into her fathers side.
