OOC: PLEASE NOTE that this blog party is set as a Christmas Party, and while one night in RP time will be up till the end of the Holiday so everyone has a chance to join in. Also no drama or you will be removed and blocked.
Prince Adonis (now grown) came into the ball room having been shown by the servants. He looked around and he had lead a very sheltered life but far from pampered and yet so many new faces he saw here that he had never seen before. An so many of them quite beautiful. Ahhh now there were his parents in front of the Asgardian royalty. He would look forward to meeting them and their heirs.
Walking through the crowd with the stride of a predator he came beside his father and leaned over to whisper to Apollo, "So was Mum being the typical mum and worrying about me again?" he chortled as he bowed to Emperor Thor and Emperoress Amora. Yet there was an impish smile on his lips as he knew his mother so very very well.
Es stood patiently by her husband Apollo and watched as their families intermingled with the other families. Now was a time of peace and love. She smiled to herself but then began to look a bit anxioous. "Apollo ... where is Adonis? I hope he is alright and will be joining us here now that he is grown. I ... well .... still worry about him." she said quietly.
Revan accepted the drink "thank you seven, always good to see you. I hope your family have a wonderful Christmas sir". Taking in the festivities Revan noticed a few people dancing. He turned to Arethusa "would you care for a rather clumsy dance with a guy that has less coordination than a tortoise with a limp?" He chuckled.
Lok’s loud shoes were a party in themselves, but still they could not dazzle his eyes away from his wifey sunshine who stole more than his limelight with her quiet beauty, she stole his heart all over again. He went around behind her in a close reverse hug with his arms gently draped around her waist and his hands caressing her baby bump. He tickled her neck with kisses and began a slow dance from behind, swaying her to his easy movements. Lok was proud of his wifey for being health conscious of his unborn baby. As they moved together in a subtle and intimate dance, he watched his own two parents jigging around the dance floor like they owned it.
“That could be us in another 1000 years”, he said softly to her ear, “Don’t laugh, I’ve been doing some research on it. Like, for example, did you know that stem cells can be taken from the umbilical cord blood just after a child’s birth and injected into an adult human to extend the longevity of their lives? By scientific definition, autologous cells are obtained from one's own body, just as one may bank his or her own blood for elective surgical procedures. It’s totally compatible and involves the least risk of failure. With fresh young blood injected into your veins, your stem cells would be rejuvenated and you could live longer. See, the umbilical cord gets discarded anyways, so there’s no harm done to our baby. Just think about it Bray … each new baby we bring into the world could potentially be your ‘fountain of youth’.”
Arethusa smiled at Seven and took the drink he gave her with a even bigger smile. "Thank you." she looked towards the food and shook her head no before she licked her lips tipping her glass back some and she spoke. "Not yet but it does look good."
Lin was impossibly shy and very averse to crowds. She came to the party because she knew it was important to the family that had accepted her in with open arms. Still she by no means wanted to be in the thick of things. So instead of trying her hand at dancing or hiding with Herdis she sat down near the large Christmas tree that currently had the kids in front of it. Though there was tables with foods cakes and pies Lin pulled down candy canes, helping the kids unwrap them and giving the nannies just a few seconds of a break.
With the party now in full effect Seven was getting a few more drinks. He saw Arethusa talking to Revan and brought them each a drink "hey guys good to see some familiar faces" he handed the drinks over "so have you two tried any of the food yet?" He asked looking around to see Luna or any of his family.
Misos entered the room dressed rather nicely for this holiday party. While Christmas was hardly the dark lords favorite holiday this party was a chance for him to get out with his adoring wife the Empress Nyghtwolfe and shake their booty. Misos loved to dance, almost as much as he loved to fight. While war was the reason for the god of war and death to exist, he always found dancing to be a remarkable way to express emotions and at the same time get physical exercise to help better improve his agility and stamina in battle. In particular, he loved dancing with His beloved wife Nyghtwolfe and it can truly be said the two of them were dancing together at both the end and the start of the universe. Of course, you may ask what universe and the answer is all of them, at least, all of them they have been to so far. They have seen the rise and fall of several universes, but their current one was indeed their favorite. And so it was that they would take every chance to celebrate their love, their lives, and their affection when every they could. Attending balls like these were something rather special in their heart. Misos saw his beloved wife and moved over ot her with a bit of style and grace. "My love let us dance" he said holding out his hand to hers. Then they began to move with the music as they got closer and closer together, their eyes locked onto each other with an obviously obsessive glare. They moved like one person and their bodies became so entwined it was really hard to distinguish them as two separate people. As the moved together they almost became oblivious to everything around them. They were in a universe of their own as the music played on.
Veronica watched as Brenda streaked off from their little group the second that she spotted her cousins. It made her smile though she worried, she so rarely let the girls out f her sight. But the proposition of not being the only one dancing, but Loki dancing with her had her nodding her head in agreement. She pressed a kiss to her daughters head and then handed her to her father, always preferring for Loki to deal with people. Went breaking up bar fights Veronica wasn't the least bit scared but she was very timid knowing she was an anomaly here. "Maybe if we dance long enough nobody will bother you with that tonight."
Loki held Brenda in his arms as Lady Veronica held on to Aslaug. He knew his older children would be attending the ball as well although they each had lives to live now. His free arm around Lady Veronica he lead her inside. Brenda wiggled free to go join her cousins and he smiled watching her go before he spoke. "So you going to let one of the nannies take Aslaug so I can spin you about on the dance floor before people start bugging us with politics?" his lips pulled into a grin as he looked down at her.
Arethusa laughed to Revan. "But I did just throw it on." she smirked at him nodding her head about another drink. "Although I am pretty sure if I have more of these I don't know if I be able to dance later or hell if I know it could very well loosen me up so I can bust a move." she snorted a laugh and covered her mouth at the sound that came out and shook her head before she looked at him looking down at himself. "You really do look handsome so don't go over analyzing yourself." she smiled
Rev an raised a sarcastic eyebrow "oh yes that old thing, I'm sure you just threw it on" he chuckled. He glanced down at his suit. It was a nice suit but he wasn't used to formality and it showed! "Well then I guess I need to get myself a drink to catch up! Would you like another?"
Arethusa looked up when she heard Revan's voice and she smirked as he fixed his hair and she laughed softly. "Well you do fit the part." she looked down at her dress when he said she looked wonderful and she rolled her eyes playfully. "This old thing?" she teased and smiled at him. "You look wonderful too. Or Pretty wait Handsome was the word I am looking for." she pointed to her empty glass. "I may of started without you." her eyes found his.
Revan arrived awkwardly late and fixed his tie quickly as he entered the gates. A year ago he was a human agent hunting rogue demons. Now he was standing in the halls of Asgard! A change to be sure. He saw a few familiar faces and gave each a smile and a wave before finally spotting Arethusa and walking over to her. He fiddled with his hair "I'm so not used to big Royal events!" He gave a smile "you look wonderful".
