Evo Family Event: The adoption of LIzzy.
Evo Family Event: The adoption of LIzzy.
Darwins Discovery.
(The events in this mini story take place prior to Darwin's abduction and transformation into Darth Evo.)
The island was small and Lord Darwin knew all of his people. In the same way the strange Darwin valued the quiet solitude of the island most of his people were simple farmers who preferred the quiet life here, away from the mainland Japan governed peacefully by King Philip and Queen Lucinda where busy cities and towns were the norm.
Darwin had never been good around a lot of people. They always seemed to misunderstand him and he never understood them. People were a confusing breed. Even on his own little Island, that he ruled over in the loosest possible terms supported mainly by the fact that it's people had come to love him for his constant desire to help, he often stayed away from people. But today he had to venture out. He had no choice. In the islands shoreline reports had come in of a creature living in the caves. Normally he would have instantly sought the guidance of Ruby, his councillor. Her advice always offered him comfort. However she currently was over seas visiting the Town of Blackthorn. He had no choice. He had to investigate alone.
He had considered contacting the King, asking for help from one of the generals, Kury or Kitana. He knew both he and his daughter would have supported him. But he needed to show he was worthy of his people and face this alone. And there he stood, outside the caves. "Hello?" He called out noting a strange wobble in his stomach "darwin doesn't want to hurt you". He remembered then that most animals didn't speak the human words and rolled his eyes. He did easily get mixed between humans and other animals. Slowly he walked in. His eyes didn't just adapt to the dark the genuinely grew larger allowing him clear vision, his ability to evolve at will a blessing here.
The caves ventured deeper until even his special sight became nearly useless. He relied on his sense of smell, but it was confused by the stagnant smell of water and moss. Echoing sounds filled the air, sending his heart racing. Suddenly a figure ran past him! A blur of red almost blood coloured followed it. Darwin panicked, had he chased it out? Would it now attack his people? He quickly flicked his tongue tripping up the. Creature then leapt forward catching it. He held it tight, securely as his eyes adapted. In his arms was no monster. Just a frightened looking young woman.
"Why have you been living here alone in Darwin's caves?" He asked her as the sat by a camp fire near the shore. He had provided her with clothing and food and reassured her that she was safe. The young women, Lizzy was still shaken "I...I was...am... A blood doll. Used by vampires to feed on. I escaped during a trip across the seas but didn't know where else to go. Where was safe". Her voice filled Darwin's heart with warmth. Finally he reached forward petting her head " you are safe here on Darwin's Island. Nobody will hurt you here". There was silence for a while. Occasional conversation. She appeared to settle and seem more at peace. "Would... You let me live here? I'll be a servant, anything you want?"
Darwin tilted his head. She had a look in her eyes. An innocence. It reminded him of something. Someone. Then it struck him. Kaya, his adopted mother. She had taken him in, adopted him despite his strange appearance and even stranger understanding of the world. "No, you won't serve Darwin" he took her hand "you will live with me, Darwin would like to adopt you. And be your... Um..." He blushed trying to say the word he had never used before, having never had one. Finally a tear in her eye she whispered "dad?" Darwin nodded and the two shared a warm smile.
Three weeks later Lizzy, now granted the full title of Lady Elizabeth Evo, though she still went by Lizzy sat in her room looking out if the window across the island. Soon she would visit the mainland with her new father to meet the king and queen. Her eyes were still adjusting to the light. But she shared a trait with her new adopted father, Darwin. One way or another, she would adapt.
(Written by lord Darwin with permission from Lizzy and Ruby. Henceforth Lizzy is to be known as Lizzy Evo, adopted daughter of Darwin.)

Blackthorn Town Event: Remembering Nurse Vena Blackthorn.
Blackthorn Town Event: Remembering Nurse Vena Blackthorn.
Echo's of the Asylum.
The gardens outside Blackthorn Asylum were not often used for such events. Funerals and gardens of remembrance existed in every nation of Free World, as-well as the main garden of remembrance itself. But Vena had died in a battle to harm every nation. In truth, the Asylum was the only fitting place for her to rest. The only home she had ever known.
Mizzy and Cal stood hand in hand beside the grave that had been dug only a few minutes walk from the main building of the asylum. Both had known her since the arrived in the town of Blackthorn with there father, Seven. Mizzy though had known her better having worked alongside her as a Nurse in the Asylum. "I can see the grave from my office" came voice from behind them. The voice was followed by the approaching figure that it stemmed from, Seven. "It seems about the best place for her. Fitting".
Despite the words spoken of Vena resting on the grounds of the Asylum she had lived in, worked in and fought alongside her father, Randolf in, both Calcifer and Mizzy knew that her being somewhere she could be seen served another function. She had been created as the perfect zombie. The template that the 'smart zombies' had been based on. But she was independent. Alive. This didn't dispel fears however that here in Blackthorn Town especially, she wouldn't rise again. "Daddy Seven... I can't believe all this time she was with Randolf. I liked her" said Mizzy, a mixture of frustration and sadness in her eyes. "She wasn't to blame sweetie. She was as controlled by Randolf as I suspect he himself is being controlled. If it helps, I genuinely believe she felt something for us. She just wasn't able to understand right and wrong" seven replied offering comfort. Finally he added "Cal, take Mizzy in please son". With a nod Cal gave his father a hug and guided his wife away.
Seven looked down into the grave. He thought back to that first day, when he first arrived in the asylum. That he had been tasked with running an Asylum in an abandoned town would turn out to be the least surprising aspect of that day...
(Flashback 1: Meetings)
...Seven hung up the phone saying goodbye to his sister Melissa. The old worn down building ahead of him was not somewhere he wanted to walk around whilst distracted. The large steel gates creaked open as he pushed against them. "Blackthorn Asylum... What a shit tip" his eyebrows furrowed. It wasn't like him to swear, let alone express such judgemental comments. He closed his eyes, focusing. It was as if there was an emotional cloud hanging over the building that effected him. Either way, he had a job to do.
Searching the building and securing it had been a long winded, tiring and especially eery task. Padded cells with blood stained walls, restraints that still had rotten skin matted to the leather, even a strange item buried in one if the bed frames that later turned out to be a tooth. Of course the team he had coming in to clean and update the facility would complete most of the work, but he had to see it for himself first. He made his way down the large wooden staircase into the lobby when a chair tipping over caught his attention. The crashing sound echoed around and the sound didn't seem to stop. "Who is that?" Seven called out "show yourself!" He saw a blur of matted green and black hair cowering down behind the desk. Could a patient have escaped the evacuation? Not that he had yet clarified what had led to the towns abandonment. "I am not going to hurt you, please". Slowly two filthy slender hands emerged. He noted that the skin colour of one was slightly off from the other. It was also evident that teeth marks were slightly healing on one.
She had watched the new man with fascination. He was clearly interested in her playground. Of course she knew it was an asylum but she had grown up here and to her it would always be her playground. She knew the rule. She should run. Run back down to the hidden basement to her father. But this man looked interesting. And she could feel something dark in him, something that reminded her of her father. Slowly she emerged still in her nurses uniform. She had found it on her first exploration of the asylum and while overtime she had made some modifications it was still clear what it was.
Seven couldn't believe it. A nurse? "I'm..the new warden, I'm taking over this asylum. Who are you?" The girl, her beauty hidden behind make up and deep scars and dirt spoke finally " Vena...Nurse Vena".
(Flashback ends)
On the hillside, a few kilometres away from the asylum Randolf stood looking back at the Asylum, and through binoculars, at the gardens behind it. Everything died in Blackthorn. He had known that. His mother died. At his hands most people said, and while that was true it wasn't the full truth. But the more he tried to remember the full truth the more his head hurt. Not now. Now was for Vena. His daughter.
Everything died in Blackthorn. He had hoped that by creating life that was already dead as Vena was technically, this curse would fail. Yet there she lay. She had worked so hard for him, spying on those around her, yet he knew she liked them in her own way. He wanted to hate them. Hate Seven for fighting for blackthorn instead of just leaving. Hate Luna for being the one that sent her falling to her death. Hate the whole family for... It didn't matter. Because how could he. She had betrayed them and yet they buried her, mourned her.
He took a small device from his pocket. It hovered and slowly floated towards the asylum. They had not been the ones that left her to fall, that could actually have saved her. That had been Zero. Everything died in Blackthorn. And Now, mourning the loss of his daughter, he regretted the fact that he was the exception to that.
(Flashback 2: secrets)
Vena traveled down the secret passageway towards her fathers lab hidden deep below the asylum. The room stank of decaying flesh but Vena couldn't smell the stench. Her father stood behind a seated zombie, it's skull removed. He was tweaking various sections of the brain shaking his head in frustration. Vena waited patiently noting a drop of blood on her uniform. "You make a very pretty Nurse Vena" her fathers voice came as a shock. "It's funny my dear... You have not aged a day since the moment I resurrected you". He came from behind the zombie wiping his hands "and yet the same bio organic nanotechnology has never once since carried the same results. Not even a single ounce of intelligence". Vena had heard this story before, but she never grew tired of her fathers words.
"The Temp'elars... They believe the zombies are all you. That you made them all" vena added. Randolf rolled his eyes "if only I did! Heck the residents of this town, the ones I infected and made into these drones, most of them crumbled away over seventy years ago!" He turned kicking the zombie to the ground "my estimates say that only forty percent of the zombies out there are the spawn if my virus. The Anubis Virus". Vena nodded, knowing this. She never did fully understand the part that came next. "The other sixty percent are spawns of this town. A town that doesn't want to wake up from its own nightmare". He brushed a hair behind Vena's ear "the blackthorn family is a history of horror... But you? Your my brightest day" he took her hand "come lets go home" he opened a hatch to an underground tunnel leading to the Blackthorn estate "so tell me, how many people did Seven kill or torture today? We must discover exactly why he never remembers..."
(Flashback ends)
Seven stood outside his office looking out of the corridor window looking out to the mound of dirt beneath which Vena was buried. And beyond. Behind him came the gentle footsteps of Luna and Mizzy. "He was here" said seven softly before turning to see them "Randolf came to see her buried" he nodded down to the grave site where a single black rose lay on the mound, the device that had carried it shattered to the side having self destructed. "Was she really evil?" Whispered Luna. Seven could see she still felt guilt for Vena's death. "I don't know anymore" seven whispered "and what concerns me most is, I don't know if it's that simple anymore". He smiled at the two, but his eyes lingered slightly on Mizzy despite answering Luna's question "what I know is, she wasn't always evil".
Seven walked into his office picking up the file on his desk. The file was old, the women's name Venus. He had found it, left on his desk before the funeral, though in reality it had been left there since Randolf and Vena had left that fateful day the war if the dead ended.
(Flashback 3: Living on)
"Stay together girls!" Venus called out to her two daughters. She had looked forward to this day so much. A young mother, only in her early twenties now with the two girls aged three and four, Venus had come from an eccentric family, and had required time in an inpatient unit for help in addressing post natal depression. But today, she was out with her two girls and all the hard work had been worth it.
The circus was traveling various towns and had been the perfect place to take them. She had been so happy watching them play. "My two angels" she whispered, brushing her green died hair back. She smiled softly. It was the perfect moment.
(Flashback ends)
Seven read the file. Venus had died in a tragic accident at the circus. The two girls had fled, and when the eldest had been found she had been sent to live with relatives. Traumatised, however she became detached from reality and was eventually sent to a care home. The youngest was never found though it was suspected she hid out in the circus, possibly raised by some of its residents.
Seven wiped a tear from his eye. For the third time he read the women's full name. Venus Lovejoy. Survived by her two daughters. Fizzy and Mizzy.
He closed the file reading the note on the front:
"She wasn't bad. And neither am I.
Help me
Randolf Blackthorn"
Seven stood up pushing the intercom system "send Mizzy to come and see me please".
Down below Vena lay soundly in her grave. The nanotechnology that had resurrected her slowly fading sent one last image through her mind. Her daughters playing, and her Father, Randolf by her side.
The End.

Free World Story: Breeding Hatred.
Free World Story: Breeding Hatred.
2 months after the Viking War...
Darth Raptor held the small handle of his red bladed lightsaber in one hand, letting it spin and roll slightly as the rain sporadically fell on it sending out a hissing noise. Around him tall trees obscured any moonlight that may have shown down illuminating his situations. Suddenly the near silence was broken as Darth Vader, Sith Lord, burst through the trees, his equally red blade crashing down towards him. Raptor quickly parried the strike utilising his clear speed advantage to block all the strikes before leaping back blasting a flurry of force lightening towards the mostly mechanical Vader. Already weakened from there long battle, Vader, crumbled down to the ground. Darth raptor approached kicking the blade aside and shook his head " offer you much I did. Now everything, you have lost" and with a strike to quick to see he removed Vader's head. He glanced down to the decapitated head in its helmet. The armour was impressive he thought. He would have to upload the designs to his computer for future use.
"Master, that is the eighth dimension we have traveled too. The Sith Lords will never comply". Darth Raptor glanced up to his droid, the appropriately named cyber-sith, or cye as Raptor called him. His logic as always was impeccable. Since Darth Raptor had been thrown from his own dimension in which he as emperor ruled the galaxy, he had searched for a way to return. However over the past ten years he had come to see new opportunities in this dimension and especially the planet of a Free World. While the force in its literal sense was unknown here, it did exist in the form of magic, and mystical forces. Here there were dragons, vampires, demons and immortals. This was a dimension he could use to remould the force itself.
Darth Raptor looked up to his droid as the sat in his hidden chambers in a hidden building away from any known nation in Free World "right I sense you are. If the Sith we are to rebuild, from the very beginning we will have to start". Darth raptor turned away and walked into his lab. Raptor had found a way to travel through dimensions using a stolen technology from Blackthorn mixed with his own sith work. However while he could target strong dark side energy signatures it was still random. He could not get home. Nor did he care to any longer. Initially he had hoped to bring together a Sith Army of the most powerful Lords, yet each defied him, sought to defeat him. Each and everyone failed. Vader, Maul, Bane, Sidious, Plagus, Revan, Windu and Caidus. A version of each of the famous Sith Lords had died at his hand.
He sat at his table studying the read outs from his recent scans of the war. The Viking War as it had become known. The war was thought to have been a result of the Viking Kings desire to conquer Camelot. Whilst there was truth to that, the entire event had been manipulated into fruition by Raptor. He had contacted the King through the use if advanced holographic tech, hiding his true appearance and presenting as a demon of sorts. He had used Sith alchemy along with biogenic compounds taken from Blackthorn to resurrect the Kings armies and sent him down the path to war. Nothing highlighted strength and potential for the dark side like war. Some had stood out, and yet despite the torturous events he had out them through they seemed to be corrupted by a misguided commitment to the light side of the force. Some he had tempted, yet to date only one had shown true commitment, fuelled by loss and hatred. A wolf shifter by the name if Ayame. She had everything. Everything except the force.
He threw the paper aside and clenched his fists in rage, the force of his emotions shattering a steel box behind him. The force was something the Sith used to grow, to develop. Without it they couldn't become true Sith. And yet those with it had shown no scope for potential in his new rebirth for the Sith. Then it came across him like the sun rising. Ayame was worthy to be a Sith, and she didn't have the force. What if others, in other dimensions were also? What if instead of honing in on the dark side of the force, a Sith's weapon, he honed in on hatred. A Sith's soul. And then when he had his potentials, he would give them the force.
8 months later...
"What a difference time can make my Lord Raptor". Darth Raptor looked towards Cye with a raised eyebrow. The new protocols he had given him for improved language and intellectual debate had made him slightly poetic. At first it had been endearing. Now it was just annoying. Raptor nodded however, agreeing with the point. Not only had he found two allies in Randolf Blackthorn and the enigmatic Zero but between there unique attributes and similar goals the had been able to work together and merging his force rich blood with Zero's immortality inducing blood, they had the basis for a force infusing compound. Randolf, a master at genetics had then filtered out all the extra elements and cloned the basic sample until they had essentially the force 'in a bottle'. Of course both his new allies had wanted it, and he had given them a small dose giving them basic force powers. This had served his purpose anyway, ensuring it was safe before giving it to the now fully trained Darth Ayame, his own Sith Saber. She however had been given a full dose and would develop into a powerful Sith at his side.
"Growing, are they?" He asked the droid, trying to avoid any more poetic catchphrases. "Yes Lord Raptor. I collected a few samples from the cave whilst I was there". An essential part of the Sith was his or her lightsaber, which in turn required special crystals to focus the beam. Cye had been cultivating a source in a cave not far from there location ready to fuel the lightsabers of a sith revolution. "Some had grown blue, purple or green. I discarded those as you requested. The Red Crystals however appear in good health". Raptor nodded. Sith preferred red crystals for there unpredictable and powerful nature.
Darth Ayame, her red silk robes flowing entered the room "Excuse me my Lord Raptor, the device is ready. It has picked up a very powerful signal". Raptor turned curious. "Interesting. Look into this I will" he walked to the door before glancing back "cyber sith, Kill lord Ayame". She gave a smile. Her master had a cold streak, a desire to push her like her old master, Kraven. He liked to regularly pit his droid against her. She nodded "he will try my master..."
Raptor stood inside the tall and extravagant building in this dimension unlike most he had seen. Across from him in a chair slouched over a table holding a bottle and stinking if ale was the source of the signal. Darth Raptor opened his mind to the man. Loss. Pain. Arrogance. Intelligence. Hatred. Guilt. And most useful of all, he had given up hope. Suddenly the groggy male leapt up. In an instant the table flipped over and from below devices began attaching mechanical armour to him at lightening pace. Raptor ignighted his blade as the yellow and red armoured man charged at him. Blasts shot from his hands which Raptor countered. He leapt around and attacks came from every direction. This man in his armour was putting up quite the fight. Finally a force lightening shower from Raptor pinned him down, disabling the armours circuitry. Raptor approached him and removed the face mask "Not here to hurt you am I. But to help you. To take you away from this world, help you make a better one and end your addiction to this" he kicked the bottle away, the man looked up curious "where do I sign Kermit?" He asked in what Raptor assumed was a joke. "To my new world, welcome you are Mr Stark. Or Ironman should I call you?" Raptor sliced open the armour freeing him to move then looked down "a new design I may have for you in my computer banks. Something I picked up, it is".
Prior to the undead war attack on Japan...
Raptor handed the lightsaber crystals to Zero and Randolf. "The injections I gave you, make you strong in the force they will..." He lifted his gaze to meet there's, a firm expression on his green scarred features "...but not as strong as I, will you be". The two nodded, looking at each other as they ignighted the red bladed lightsabers. "My apprentice, Darth Ayame. Your link to me, will be. Speak to her, if have any questions about your new powers you should. As requested, taken a sith name have you?".
Zero looked over the red blade intrigued "Darth Void". He nodded "the absence of anything... A fitting link to my true name".
Randolf pondered for a moment, a sense of déjà vu from Zeros speech. Finally he spoke up "Darth Necro" he looked to his two new allies "I've spent my life surrounded by death in my search to avoid it after all".
After the two new Sith left to return to Blackthorn Darth Ayame returned to the room to address her master "you didn't mention our newest Sith to them...Mr Stark. Why my master?". Raptor looked thoughtful "betray us they will, after there purpose served it has been. But regardless having an advantage, good it will be... Especially given how well he has reacted to his new force powers". She nodded "And Lord Darwin?" She asked "are we taking him simply as an extra weapon too?" raptors green features curled into a smile "No. Take him we are, turning him to the Dark Side, To prove a point". She nodded and left preparing to rejoin her fellow pupils in the academy. Waiting to strike.
Several Months later, following the War of the Dead
Darth Raptor and Darth Ayame walked into a window bay looking down below were a man glad in iron armour used a mixture of the force and his advanced suit to destroy, one by one, two hundred cyber sith model droids. On the opposite side in a separate bay the bald headed Darth Evo, formally known as Darwin, was himself training. His challenge that of a captured and tortured dragon. "You admire Darth Evo a great deal master" Ayame observed. Raptor simply nodded "the living embodiment of survival of the fittest he is. The very nature of the Sith that could be considered". Raptor gave a cruel smile, toying with the feelings of jealousy Ayame may have been feeling. Her need to impress a master.
Out of his armour, in the everyday guise of Tony Stark, Darth Stark walked into his quarters. He sensed her presence instantly. Like Ayame and Darwin he had been given the full dose of Darth Raptors force enhancing genetic cocktail. "Lady Ayame breaking and entering is below a Sith Lord don't you think?" He said pouring drink. She smiled but hid it. From the shadows she stepped "I was an assassin, old habits...". She stepped in front of him "we need to talk. Darth Raptor, our Master..." Stark cut in "he will seize control of Free World and once he has it will only keep one apprentice" he drank the none alcoholIc beverage "and it won't be either of us". She nodded curiously. This could be a trap, both of them knew it. But neither sensed it was one. Finally Ayame spoke "we together can defeat him".
stark turned away then looked back shrugging "doubtful. Add Evo, Zero and Randolf. That's a combustible situation". She cursed, knowing he was likely right. "Then what do we do?". Stark lifted a file on his computer "raptor wanted an army. Droids. I'm the one building them" he smiled "I hold the control to them. That's the back up plan". She glanced at them "and the main plan?". There was silence. Stark knew this was it. If he spoke now there was no going back. Finally he cast his dice "we let his biggest enemies do the work for us". He opened a safe showing her a vile. Inside the substance that gave normal people the power of the force. She stood shocked "you want to give them the power to match him? Us?" He nodded "we won't. But I think I know a man who will".
A face appeared on the screen and Ayame couldn't hide her shock. The two locked eyes and in that moment a silent pledge was made. They would put into motion a plan that would lead them to power. But they were Sith. Only one could be the true master.
Queen Morgan retired to her chambers. The Kingdom had recovered well and her knights had begun training with the new weapons that had been devised. She had a new hope that the future could be bright for Camelot. "Long time no see" came a voice. She turned, sharply suddenly. Her eyes filled with rage and shock at the source of the voice "easy your highness. Believe it or not I'm here to help". Morgan eyed the man in disgust "I find that very hard to believe. But speak your piece monster". He shook his head his trademark smirk nowhere to be seen. "I may be a monster. But I'm your only hope". She felt something different in him "okay Randolf, I'm listening".
"The Saber War is coming".

Free World Combat: Championship Final, Lord Darwin v Alexandra
Free World Combat: Championship Final, Lord Darwin v Alexandra
The free world arena was filled with excitement. Not since Nika Yamada defeated Lady Ambrosia had there been a Free World Combat champion, with Nika retiring after her title win. But now finally one of two people would be the champion. Either a knight of Camelot or a Lord of Japan. Or at least that had been the dream.
In truth Lord Darwin of Japan, the gentle mannered and innocent creature that was loved by all was no more. Following his abduction by the dark lord if the Sith , Darth Raptor, Lord Darwin had become a deadly and sadistic version of himself. Mentally tortured by the loss of his one love and the perceived absence of his mother, all things used by the manipulative Raptor to twist Darwin's mind.
Alexandra was always going to face a tough contest. But now she faced a monster. In the crowd the royalty and honoured guests of every nation of Free World gathered as well as those independent to the great nations. Alexandra noted a number of her fellow knights including Jun, Calcifer, Leonates and Seven. Others from across the Nations could be seen but her eyes turned mostly to her Queen Morgan. It was her she fought for.
Standing across the ring the once gentle frame of Darwin was now a large and intimidating sight. Able to evolve his body instantly at will, his body had naturally evolved to match his violent and aggressive new nature. "You will fall at my feet women". She felt sadness in her heart. His words even sounded different. His usual broken English and reference to himself in the third person was replaced with clearly spoken vile words. She hoped that those whom had done this would be brought to justice.
Darwin himself looked into the crowd. Among the rabble three hooded figures managed to remain hidden to most. The shortest was nearly invisible through mastery of force magics. The other two, Darth Ayame and a male sporting a dark goaty beard who's chest had a circular blue glow between his pectorals. He gave a subtle nod. He didn't however notice another male watching from afar who was able to see them. One that edged back through the blue doors he came through.
Kitanna of Japan, the lady who had been given control over the combat club stepped into the ring "free world's citizens! Today we crown our second, and new FWC champion! To my right, representing the legendary Kingdom of Camelot, Alexandra!" She turned to face Darwin "And to my left representing..." Before she could finish he snatched the microphone "I represent nobody... ". It was a lie of course, but who he represented was unknown. She took it back from his hand and gestured to him "...Lord Darwin".
Moving from the ring Kitanna gestured a nod to the guest time keeper, cinder of blackthorn and the guest bell keeper, Jacinda of Dragonia. The two hand chosen to ensure all four main nations were represented, with Darwin still officially a Lord of Japan. Jacinda rang the bell with cinder starting the clock. The fight was on.
Alexandra attacked first. She was used to armed combat but little did she know that in recent months that had been the focus of Darwin's training also. However that both had reached the finals spoke volumes of there ability. Alexandra threw her strikes, each precise and thrown with minimal waisted motion. To her shock and concern however, not a signal one hit. It was as if Darwin was living a few seconds ahead and of her and was able to react before the attack even came. The more tight and technically correct her attacks, the more she focused the easier he seemed to evade her strikes until finally he threw one of his own.
A simple punch. That was all it was, and yet as she fell back to the floor rolling back up instinctively, she could feel her body in shock. Her muscles trembled yet she couldn't say why! Darwin however seemed to know why. He didn't seem at all surprised at the impact of his attack "The force has evolved in me. I'm more powerful than you can possibly imaging". Alexandra searched her mind for inspiration. She charged at him planning to throw her weight behind an elbow strike. As she ran however her weakened muscles caused her leg to give way and as she dropped she out of desperation, used the accident to kick out at his knee.
Looking up she noticed him block perfectly. For her intended strike! As that one had not been the outcome though her knee kick connected! It dawned on her as she mouthed to herself "you can only block or evade something I plan!" Her attacks needed to be less focused, more random! She felt a rush of determination and cleared her mind. Instead if following set techniques or fighting styles she threw random and uncoordinated punches and kicks. Darwin, still reeling from his injury seemed rocked by her attacks. Unable to predict moves that she barely knew she was about to throw herself his force use was no longer giving him the edge.
Clenching his fist he again channeled the force through a strike. The moment she threw a punch to his face he threw one to her gut. Then she saw it. That's why his punch had effected her so much. He seemed able to channel some sort of lightening threw it, noting his hand crackling with a blue energy as it connected with her. She fought to stay standing, she threw another desperate punch but Darwin no longer seemed cursed by over confidence. Making use of his own natural abilities of evolution his skin had evolved into a thick exoskeleton and her fist connected with a substance do hard that her hand cracked.
She cradled it as Darwin saw the opening he needed and reached out grabbing her throat. He squeezed without mercy "surrender women" he demanded. She refused and Darwin noted the face of his Sith master in the crowd make a gesture. Kill her. Darwin raised a fist to punch her throat. To kill her cold. Yet as he threw it some part of him stopped. He mouthed "Darwin doesn't want to kill the nice knight lady..." He shook his head confused as his dark mind returned. He threw the punch.
It hit her face, knocking her out cold, with him dropping her to the floor. His sith master was gone but Darwin looked away. Jacinda rang the bell signalling that the fight was over. Confirming it Cinder took the microphone and decreed "your winner, and new free world combat champion, Lord Darwin!" Darwin took the title belt worn only by one other fighter before him and lifted it into the air.
He was the champion.

Free World Event: Ruby appointed official ambassador of JkotoanT to Blackthorn and advisor to Lord Darwin.
The throne room within the palace deep in the heart of Japan's mainland was filled with excitement. The kingdom had long had links with Dragonia, its own Queen, Lucinda being the Ambassador. It also had strong connections with Camelot, the King himself having once served there. However despite friendships with its people, Blackthorn had never officially been linked to Japan and following the invasions on both nations, with the other coming to each other's aid it was decided the time had come to make it official.
The crowd gathered before King Philip of Japan, here in the same halls in which his daughter had been crowned as Queen in her mothers absence. Guests from all over Free World gathered of course, but most notably from the two nations involved, Blackthorn and Japan.
Beside King Philip, Lord Darwin Evo tugged awkwardly at his robes. He hated such ceremonial clothing but he knew it mattered to those around him. By his side his newly adopted daughter, Lady Lizzy Evo took his hand with a smile which quickly comforted him.
"Guests from every nation, welcome to Japan. Today we are here to honour Ruby Red of Blackthorn Town and give her the title of Ambassador between her home in Blackthorn and Japan". The crowd applauded her especially Regina and Maddy whom sat either side of her. Both among her closest friends the smiled and cheered her on. Philip continued "despite the oceans that separate these two allies we are friends and in remembering that I have asked our resident of those oceans, River to be the one to present you your title". River stepped towards Ruby handing her the scroll.
Philip gestured forward as seven, Morgan and Ambrosia, leaders of each nation shook her hand confirming it. Philip spoke "whilst here in Japan Ruby will reside on Darwin's island alongside he and his daughter acting as there advisor" he gestured towards the two "now Ruby, if you would like to say a few words?"
Red wanted to say something , something that had made her express how she felt about this." I..I just wanted to say, that coming from a land , of fairy tales," red laughed softly." my kind was not.. welcome. werewolves, were thought of as dangerous, the big bad wolf. when some are.. but I was run out of my town. for good reason." Red won′t go into that.′ but I feel so welcome here, no one shy′s away from me here. to be asked to become the ambassador , was a great honor I don′t think I should have at all.. thank you. more then anything thank you for this. I will try and do my best ."
Darwin applauded overly enthusiastically with his daughter and soon everyone joining in.

Free World Story: War of the Dead spin off.
Free World Story: War of the Dead spin off.
Seven sat in his office chair rubbing his temples in confusion. He looked up again at the two pretty smiling faces grinning enthusiastically at him. Regina and Maddy had tried to explain in there enthusiastic nature to Seven the same event three times but he had struggled to get his head around it. "Okay..." He said, standing and walking around the desk "let's go over this slowly one last time". He let out a deep breath glancing over to Cal and Shanks, students at the academy in Blackthorn, Cal his son.
"Cal, Shanks and others including Cinder, Mizzy and Luna told me how my brother attacked the academy. That he tried to use some sort of power to kill everyone there but that the genie twins... They died, sacrificing themselves to make a little pocket dimension where everyone was saved". The students nodded sadly. "But now you two are telling me that you some how saved them?"
Regina nodded with Maddy almost bouncing excitedly. "But they are not here? Correct?" Seven added "they are alive but in some other universe or something?" He could feel a headache forming "okay then ladies, explain again. From the top".
Two weeks earlier, during the war of the dead: battle of Blackthorn Asylum...
Hattress waited on the other side of the mirror, making sure Seven had gotten through okay, before kicking in with her foot. Breaking the time whole. The Zombies won’t be able to go in now. She laughed softly, making her away through the Asylum . At one point, she almost felt like she was back home in Wonderland. As if this place… No she shook it off. She won’t be the insane woman she was back home. The Hattress had worked hard on trying to remain in control of the madness within. Within a few hours she was able to find her way out of the crazy Asylum through a secret tunnel leading her to another building, she noticed that was.. a school? Was that the word for it? Hattress almost run to it. As she didn’t know the inside of the building she couldn’t use her mirrors to get in, so through the door it was. She stepped in, it was dark, but noises were all over the place. People screaming, and talking. Whisper’s of hidden people. As she walked, her boots echoed off the floor. She pulled her top hat closer to her head. Trying to remain clam. People scared her in ways. As she neared a large room, which looked like a place for eating, she saw a woman. A woman she knew all to well.’ Your highness!" Hattress almost run to her. She bowed afew feet from Regina, Queen of Snow forest. Regina turned when she heard 'your highness'. No one here knew that. Sure, they could guess it, but only someone from her world would know. Regina’s eyes widened seeing the top hat, boots, and long tale coat of the hattress. The Hattress had been known throughout the lands, for her magic mirrors. At a time, Regina had needed such mirror’s for spying and for keeping a Genie in one. "Hattress… what a .. surprise.." regina turned to face her fully.’ You can rise, we are not in my world here..’ Hattress rose, the smile on her lips.’ Why have you come this far your highness??" she asked soflty.’ I came to help.. I know Seven.. he lives here. I come to make sure people where well taken care of my magic and help a little..". Hattress face turned confused. Helpful;? Regina? What had happened to the Evil Queen." How many are ill or sick?" she asked.’ A few…" regina answered.’ Many are sick or hurt. Some have died. One a pair of Genie’s. They were friends of Sevens. Jeenee and Jeannie". Regina shook her head with sadness. She had not met them, but she felt the pain fo their lost. Which was odd for Regina . " I can help..’ Hattress smiled returned. Bright and full of hope.’ I can get them back.. well.. maybe… I can use my mirrors.’ Regina laughed and shook her head.’ No, the time travel spell never worked and it takes to much time."" No spell.. if you remember them.. when they died.. I can go back. With help from your magic, your highness.’ Hattress bowed again for good measure." Can you?" Regina asked.’ Fine… we should do this.."" take me to the spot of their death.. it’ll be better there..’ And so they were off. Regina lead the way through the empty halls to the place were most of the fighting took place.’ Here.. I don’t know where in this room.. but this room". Hattress nodded and stood away from regina. Hattress rose her hands into the area. A light shot through a wall. It grew and grew taking up the wall center. Creating almost a door. A shinny surface took form, that of the mirror." Your highness if you will please touch the mirror.." Hattress looked right into the center of her mirror. Regina touched the side of the mirror. The sliver changed into a twisted colored vortex.’ Think of them your highness.. think of their last moments.. use your power to help guide me.’ Regina was a little worried about this, but if it saved two people. The twisted color’s changed into the scene’s that came of the fight. The Genies were locked in to the fight of their lives, and just as they were about to be dealt the death blow" NOW pull them through!" Regina used her magic like a vacuum to suck them through. They watched as the genies was sucked through time and space, but they were stuck. The mirror won’t let them through..’ no.. no this is bad.. it’s time locked..’ " what does that mean.." Regina asked looked at the mirror.’ It’s a set time now.. I can’t bring them through.. not here.. but I can.." Hattress stepped closer to the mirror.’ I can put them somewhere else.." she used her mind to think of another world, a world she’d been before. And opened the mirror there. The genies were sucked through and landed in a new world for them to live.’ It’s done..’ Hattress said smiling, as if she’d won something. Regina let go of the mirror. They were alive.., but a what cost?no one would see them again. Regina could feel her magic weaked." we need to go..' Hattress nodded and clapped her hands together, the mirror turned into a cube." a new trick I learned.' she picked it up and through it into the air." in case Seven needs them again.' she smiled and followed the Queen out of the room. but magic would always stay within that room.. and what would come of it... would be left open. Present time... Seven sat at his desk looking out of the window contemplating what he had heard. They lived. Somewhere out there. He gestured to the students to leave before turning his gaze to Maddy the Hattress and Regina. "You two have done so much to help this town, and me personally. I remember meeting you both during my travels, ending up in your world of fairy tails" he smiled standing "I won't pretend to understand what brought you here to my world, but I'm glad it did". He took a hand from each of them "thank you both, for saving my friends". The students stood in the main hall. With the aid of magic repairs had been quick. "Do you think it's true? Could the Genie’s be in here somewhere in some magical mini universe?". Nobody answered. Cal turned to follow the others noting sprinkles of glitter on the floor. The end. Temp'elar Family Event: The birth of Charity and Absinthe Temp'elar.
Temp'elar Family Event: The birth of Charity and Absinthe Temp'elar.
Future Echos
"Charity creates a multitude of sins" Oscar Wilde
The tapping of her own soft paws was the only sound that Mittens could hear as the intelligent feline made her way through the empty halls of the Temp'elar Estate. Late at night, Mittens felt like she was head of the estates security. Yes, the home was guarded by perimeter fences, advanced tech and even a number of magical spells. But if a zombie did get through all that, Mittens would be the last line of defence.
Continuing her journey along the corridors Mittens came to a door that was slightly open. It was the room that had belonged to Absinthe. The time traveling future daughter of Mizzy and Cal was no longer with them, Mittens assuming she had returned to the future. She pushed her nose through the door and saw a figure standing in the room, a male she recognised instantly. "Well hey there you, what are you doing here?" Cal inquired of the small black and white feline. Mittens looked up clearly asking him the same thing. "I miss her Mittens. I don't know what to expect with Mizzy about to give birth. Is it Absinthe? Is it another child?"
The comments would have been left unanswered either way, left hanging in the air between the two. However an almighty scream alerted the two to a more pressing matter. "Mizzy!" The two ran down the corridor, doors opening either side of them as various family members burst out into the corridor to follow them. Brianna stumbled out of her room, possibly the first time Calcifer had ever seen not looking elegant. Further down the corridor feet could be heard stumbling down a staircase with Lilliana, seven and Luna bursting through the door like a landslide. As the tidal wave of people swept down the corridor they were finally joined by Sera who still had her toothbrush in her mouth. Seven would have commented but as he was running around in his terminator pyjamas and trying not to trip over mittens he felt he wasn't in a place to comment.
The screams came again and finally the group burst through the door ready to aid the birthing Mizzy. Instead however the were confronted with a Mizzy sat in bed, hiding behind the sheets screaming looking at a big blue box that had appeared in her room, still sparking and steaming while a tall lanky man wearing a strange tweed suit tried to calm her. "Doctor?" Said seven unsure. Finally from inside the box Heather emerged, slapping the doctor over the back of the head "we are ten minutes early! She isn't giving birth yet!" The doctor rubbed his head "sorry, sorry I can explain" but before he could, he fell to the floor unconscious. From Mizzy's punch.
"doctor...DOCTOR!"
He sat bolt upright instantly lifting a hand to his jaw "woah, I've never been punched by a pregnant women before". The Doctor suddenly realised what was happening, both because of his ability to read situations well, analysing key information. Oh and because the pregnant women was screaming. "She's giving birth!" Confirmed Heather.
Seven could see Calcifer's conflicting impulses. Calcifer wanted to know why the Doctor had burst in but also wanted to comfort his wife. With a knowing nod Seven gestured towards Mizzy with Cal instantly taking control of the birthing. "Luna, Liliana, get some towels and water. Bri, Sera get whatever supplies you can carry from the medical bay".
Heather went to explain to Seven, but spite there close friendship Seven marched straight to the Doctor pinning him to the wall "you better explain what the hell your doing here before I personally set each of the seven sins loose on your scrawny ass" he growled in a unnervingly quiet tone. The doctor made no attempt to pull free, but in a calm if slightly rattled english accent explained himself "I'm here to help Seven, it's the girls, the twins..." Seven cut in quickly "Twins? We did a scan, we only saw one child! And it is only a few months in... What is happening?"
Several minutes later...
With Mizzy briefly stabilised and Calcifer and her sat together on the bed the rest of the family gathered around listening to the unusual tale. The Doctor tried his hardest not to appear excited by it all, Heather had warned him about that. "It's this town, Blackthorn. You all know I'm sure that it's a little out of touch with reality?" Luna glared over through her blue fringe, clearly in no mood for stupid comments "well zombies regenerate, the town changes shape and some people can't even escape it. So yeah of course we know!" Mizzy was quick to speed things up however "can you get to the point please! I'm about to give birth months early and to twice as many people as possible!"
The Doctor glanced over towards Calcifer "well, that strangeness in the town is like a catalyst for abnormal events. The Zombie infestation came from scientific events but those events wouldn't have worked anywhere else! Unfortunately the town has the same effect on time travel..." Calcifer sat up instantly "Sin! Is this to do with Sin?" Sin, his and Mizzy's time traveling daughter from the future had been missing since the end of the War of the Dead and Cal had been worried for her life. Mittens rubbed up against him comforting him.
The Doctor lifted his hands "don't worry, Sin will be fine... If you let me help them". The doctors gaze fell on Mizzy and everyone knew. Sin was one of the twins. Heather could tell that people were getting a little restless with the doctors less than direct approach and decided to explain. "It's a time paradox. The Tardis has kept bringing the doctor back here because the paradox doesn't make sense" she noticed the doctor about to speak but gave him a 'shut it' glare. "Cal, Mizzy, you know Sin came back from the future and that she was sent there because she had an illness. What you didn't know was that the illness is one she and her twin inherited from you Cal".
Calcifer looked horrified, something that Mittens clearly picked up on leaping up onto his lap in Cal's defence. "But it wasn't you directly Cal" The Doctor quickly added. "The time vortex that Sin arrived back through... You pulled her through but it effected your DNA right?" Cal nodded. Ever since that day he occasionally morphed back and forth between his early twenties and mid thirties both physically and mentally. The Doctor trying not to seem excited continued "That is the paradox! You developed that defect pulling her back through the vortex. But she only went through because she developed the same defect, as does her sister to a lesser degree". Mizzy sat upright "that's why they are ready to pop out? Because they are ageing faster?"
The Doctor stepped closer his expression changing suddenly more protective "your family is remarkable. You stretch through time and even loop through it but their is a cost" he sat on the bed his eyes drifting between Mizzy and Cal "Sin's twin, her DNA isn't as effected by the paradox because she wasn't directly caught in it like Sin was. She is effectively keeping Sin alive. But once they are born..." Mizzy began to tear up, with Sera placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. The doctor smiled slightly "but I can take Sin into the distant future where someone has spent a great many years finding a solution and will save her life. She will have her family and will return to you in time, like she already has". Brianna finally asked what they were all thinking " and the twin?" Heather smiled "she will age fast, and like her father will flit between ages. But she will be just fine if you let the doctor help". Mizzy looked to Cal and gave a nod "okay then, let's give birth to some babies".
Most of the family had left the room. Only Cal and Mittens who refused to come out from under the bed remained inside, along with the Doctor. Luna had excitedly gone to the communications room to contact Kaya, Philip and Lucinda in Japan about the news. The rest waited outside listening impatiently. Mizzy could be heard screaming with Cal encouraging her to push. Occasionally she would clearly shout at him making him silent for a few minuites. The hours passed slowly and the screams became background noise to the awaiting family until heard the screams stop, replaced by the gentle crying of two young girls.
The family peaked around the door, their heads appearing one by one "everyone, this is Sin... And this is Charity". The moment came so quickly and suddenly that when the Sin began to tremble it dawned on them that she had to leave already. Mizzy was weak but held the raven haired girl tightly with Cals arms wrapped around them both. Seven lifted Charity kissing her forehead and placing her in the cot ready made for her. The Doctor coughed "I'm sorry but if Sin is to survive I need to take her now".
Cal looked down and stroked her hair "Sinny, your sister looked after you, kept you safe. Now we need someone else to care for you. But one day you'll come back home. And me and you mom, we will defy time and space to bring you home to us. Because we love you". The Doctor slowly reached down taking Sin and along with Heather they returned to the Tardis which hummed and vanished.
The room was silent. Tears were held back and nobody wanted to say a word. Lilliana was the first to realise that silence was surprising considering they had a new born baby in the room. She glanced over to the cot and her eyes opened wide "umm guys..." In the cot sat bolt upright was a young women who looked around thirteen biting awkwardly on her lip wrapped in a blanket. Mizzy gasped "Charity?" The girl gave an awkward smile "not to ruin the moment or anything but um, can I have some clothes?"
2326 years later...
The Tardis slowly flickered into existence on the landing platform of a floating complex of high tech buildings high above the planets surface. In Front of it stood a male, his long hair brushed back neatly. The doctor opened the Tardis door and gave the man a smile "it's good to see you again Seven". Seven, unchanged aside from a thick beard smiled "it's been a long time Doctor, though I know not so long for you". Behind Seven a short silver haired Neko women emerged. Giving the Doctor a beaming smile that showed despite her ageing features, the same sweet giddy nature she had always possessed. "Hello Luna" the doctor added. Finally from behind the Doctor a frightened looking teenage girl emerged, her dark hair messy and tattered "Seven, Luna, I would like you to meet Absinthe". Seven smiled and took her hand "you have your sisters eyes. Welcome to New Blackthorn Absinthe".
Present day...
Cal and Mizzy watched over Charity as she drifted into her first sleep. Cal was clearly thoughtful "she is beautiful. All this time she had been keeping Sin alive. She was saving lives before she was born, imagine what else she can do?" Mizzy smiled and put down the story book they had been reading her "come on hot head, I need some sleep too". As they left the books page flickered, onto the last page they had read and in her sleep charity mumbled "who's afraid of the big bad wolf..."

Free World Event: Discovery (The arrival of Mahleia).
Free World Event: Discovery (The arrival of Mahleia).
Blackthorn Academy...
It was just after midnight and Sera was restless. Her mind had been consumed with the new classes for the upcoming school year. Sure, there were students there for the summer session, but the new space program meant extra work. It was going to be wonderful and worth the effort, but she tended to obsess over her students and the quality of the courses offered. She decided to patrol the school grounds and clear her head. A walk always seemed to help her sort things out.
She walked along the perimeter of the school grounds and noted that the zombies were a little more restless than usual. As long as they stayed on their side of the heavy iron fence, she wasn't interested in them tonight. Suddenly, Mittens trotted up to walk along beside her and she couldn't help but smile. "Well hello, Mittens. I see that you are doing your rounds too". The feisty feline meowed and paced her steps with the headmistress.
They were approaching the back of the main building, when they heard a loud crash in the woods just outside the fence. Mittens took off at lightening speed in the direction of the sound. Effortlessly she slipped through the rails and out into the dense woods. Sera called after her friend, "Mittens be careful! You don't know what is out there!". Usually she didn't like to use her powers on school grounds but this was an emergency. With a wave of her hand, she disappeared in flames and reappeared next to Mittens.
Laying at the foot of a large broken tree was a young, unconscious girl. She had silver dragon wings protruding from her back and talons that were all rapidly disappearing. Sera leaned over and opened one of the girls eyes. Her eyes were a brilliant silver but she was out cold and her injuries weren't obvious. Without hesitation, Sera picked up the teen and headed back to the academy. Mittens followed quickly because until they were back inside the fence around the school, they were exposed to zombies and other things that lurked about the woods at night.
Once inside the nurses office, Sera laid the girls limp body on the stretcher. She carefully looked the girl over but other than being diry and in tattered clothes, she observed no injuries. "Mittens, you stay with her while I go find her some clean clothes." They had a closet full of extra clothes in the hall because, when you work with supernatural kids, it pays to keep the closet well stocked. A frightened shriek brought her running back to the office to find the girl hysterical and backed into a corner.
Sera approached her carefully, so as not to scare her. "It's okay. You are safe here. Can you tell me your name and how you wound up in the woods?" The teen answered but didn't look too sure that she was safe. "I am Mahleia but people just call me Mal. I have no idea what you're talking about. I was...I think I was riding my bike and then...I woke up here? Where is here? Who are you?" Sera motioned to Mal to come and sit on the stretcher, as she backed up to give her some room. Mittens just stood watching with curiosity. "My name is Sera and you are in Blackthorn Academy. I found you in the woods unconscious and brought you here." Assuming the child knew of her powers, Sera asked, "How long have you been able to transform into a dragon, Mal?"
Mahleia was listening to Sera somewhat but she was also trying to figure out what had happened to her. Suddenly time stopped and she looked bewildered. " Dragon? Did you say dragon? I am NOT a dragon, lady, and I don't know what drugs you are on but I want to go home." It was then that she realized that she didn't even remember where home was and she began to cry. Sera walked over slowly and put her arm around Mal's shoulders. "It's ok, sweetheart. You have had a rough day and we can clear things up later. Let's get you all cleaned up and into some fresh clothes. It's very late, so you can stay here tonight and we will figure things out tomorrow. Okay?" Mahleia nodded and followed Sera to a dorm room and a hot shower.
Once the teen was safely tucked in bed with Mittens laying curled up at her head, Sera picked up the phone to call her good friend, Dagger. He was a dragon himself and general of the armies in Dragonia. It was no surprise that she got his voicemail considering the hour, so she left a message. " Dagger, this is Sera. I found an unconscious teen girl in the woods tonight. Her name is Mahleia and, when I first saw her, she had silver wings, eyes, and talons. She was transforming back to her human form but, when she awakened, she seemed to be in shock and had no recollection of being a dragon or much of a memory at all. Please give me a call when you get this. I am afraid I am going to need a lot of help with this one".
Kingdom Dragona...
"Another Dragon? In Blackthorn?" The words came from the Lady of Dragonia speaking within the throne room of the main palace. Dagger nodded "yes my lady. It has been confirmed by your sister herself, their is no doubt". From across the room the visiting King of Japan, Philip Temp'elar stepped forward "I find it unusual that a young Dragon with no memory would find herself in the very town where experiments on Dragon DNA had been carried out. It may not be a coincidence". Dagger held flashbacks to finding his sister Jacinda and felt a hint of protectiveness growing within him.
"My Lady, your highness... She is clearly going to be distressed. Scared. May I suggest that she be allowed to stay where she is for the time being. I will monitor her progress myself and gradually educate her on our kingdoms culture". The two looked to each other and nodded. "And if it is not a coincidence that she found her way there... I will discover the truth".
The End

Free World Combat Club: Lanes Realisation (post fight thoughts).
Free World Combat Club: Lanes Realisation (post fight thoughts).
Sitting on a bench in the locker rooms, Lane rest his head in his hands as he tries to unwind from the match and process that he had actually beaten Seven. Lane had always thought he would have a glorious and happy feeling once he won against Seven and yet, while he was happy that he was able to prove himself, the feelings clawing at him weren’t what he was expecting. Guilt and regret mingled with the feelings of accomplishment and happiness. Guilt and regret that he had even pushed Seven into such a drawn out feud. In the beginning, Lane had just wanted to prove himself, show that he was strong and could go up against his idol. Lane didn’t even want to win when he first thought of taking Seven on, he just wanted to have some fun and see if he had gotten strong enough to win. However over time that desire got morphed into drama, drama that Lane was the cause of. Seven was a friend, a mentor, and even like a father to him, something Lane was afraid he had crushed. Suddenly Lane lifts his head as realization comes to him. Seven was like a father? No that shouldn’t be right. Lane had his dad. Yeah Hunter wasn’t there for some of his life, they had all thought the other was dead after all. So believing Seven was like a father wasn’t right…was it? Seven had been there when Lane was a young soldier, struggling to become his own person. He took Lane under his wing and helped him learn what it meant to be a knight of Camelot and to protect those you love. Seven even helped Lane realize his passion for fighting in club scarab, giving him tips and tricks to make him a better fighter, mentoring Lane. Yeah that’s right, Seven was just like mentor, that’s all he was and it’s good that a student tries to beat his mentor. And yet, Lane kept going back to Seven being like a father figure…not a mentor. Because all of the things that Seven did with him, Lane had missed and desired with his dad. When they were younger, Hunter had tried to train both Jake and him, but the young Lane just wanted to have fun. He was a prankster now and an even bigger prankster back then, something that angered Hunter during their training sessions until he gave up on training Lane. When it came to training with Seven, he however seemed to take Lanes prankster nature in stride, using it to benefit Lanes soldier and fighting career. What angered his father, Seven seemed to take with ease. Cursing at himself Lane finally comes to terms with why he treated and acted the way he has been to Seven. Seven had been like the father Lane always wanted and with his actual dad back those old pains and wants came to the surface and Lane took it out on the closest source. Seven. Punching the lockers, Lane turns quickly to leave the locker rooms. He needed to apologize to Seven…and have a talk with his dad.

Temp'elar Family Event: The death of Alana Temp'elar.
Temp'elar Family Event: The death of Alana Temp'elar. Toxic Seven burst through the doors to the Asylum, his muscles aching and trembling. Sweat dripped from his brow and for once he felt that emotion so common to those within these dark and cruel wall's. He felt fear. It was an emotion most alien to him, having never any reason for his own life and having long since accepted his lack of control over the actions of his sin's. But what had happened just a few moments ago, had filled him with a dread beyond measure. The phone had rang, in seven's office within the asylum. In truth it had woke him from a brief slumber brought on by exhaustion. But what awaited him on the other end of the phone had woken him from his dreaming, into a nightmare. "Daddy! Please....the venom....its...". She had done it...she had only fucking gone ahead, despite his warnings and done it! His daughter Alana, the voice that had sounded so weak on the other end of the phone, had since birth been able to produce a toxin....a drug. Used sparingly it was able to heighten senses and sensations. His son Calcifer had admitted to Seven that she had used it on him while they were 'playing around'. Seven knew exactly what that meant, she had spoken of using it with him. That was before she had gone away to learn and study nursing and advanced psychiatric sciences. She had there stumbled upon a way to use the venom she produced to manipulate the thought patterns of asylums patients. It was a radical idea, and while it had potential Seven, perhaps developing a cautious streak since becoming a father, had discouraged her from trying it until it had been perfected. His thoughts snapped back to reality as he burst through the door into the lab. It was a scene that would stay with him for all time. She was so beautiful. Her normally pale skin was now completely white, but around her lips a twisted pattern of swollen veins laced the perfect pinkness. His eyes travelled down from her face to see her torso, torn open. The spiders, the creatures from which she had adopted her nick name 'Black widow' gnawed at her flesh scurrying inside of her. His eyes filled with tears while his body filled with rage. He charged forwards pulling them from her body and crushing them in his bare hands, throwing their matted bodies to the wall. He leant in holding her tight his tears flowing like the blood from her body. He took a deep breath ready to below an agonised scream that would tear through mountains and devastate oceans. But as the deathly raw met his lips, it slowly transformed into the faintest weakest whisper "Alana....my...Alana....daddy has you...". The moment lasted only a minute or so, before the emergency team arrived. The moment seemed like eternity....or maybe a second. It didn’t matter. Right now nothing mattered. His heart had been torn from him and the knowledge that the sweet escape of death from his now eternal torment would be forever beyond him made him wonder what cruel and evil man he had been to endure such pain. The doctors would tell him that she had tried an experimental version of her own toxins, using a compound extracted from the spiders to enhance it. But that the spiders had sensed this compound in Alana. The drug had paralysed her while the spiders, sensing her as a larger 'threat' like they would a larger spider around there nest, had turned on her. Seven however would forever hold a different cause of death. He had failed her. She had given everything to work with him here and he had not protected her as he should have. And now, his princess, His Alana...Was dead
