Expanding Guard
The knocking in her head sounded hallow, like a drum, but slowly, there was a base to each blow, a solid thunk that roused Róta from her sleep. She groaned, shoving her head under the pillow, which was snatched away, leaving long tangles of brown hair to fly around settling on her cheek. "Go away," she growled, turning her face into the scratchy sheets that covered her bed. A steady tapping of a foot rang out before a cleared throat began to speak. "Its time to get up. You have someplace to be." Brynhildrs voice was low, steady, yet held all the command needed for Róta to stifle her groans and push back her hair to get out of bed.
She dressed as she did every day, basic leathers that she wore for training. If she could avoid it she didnt wear the dresses that were expected of ladies in Asgard. Her hair did hang down her back though, just pinched back from falling into her face. She had on no weapons as instructed by Brynhildr. She was to go fetch the new recruit and not come off as a menace. "Remember she should have a small pack with her, she will have quarters here as the rest of you do though she will not be with us full time as she does have studies else where." Bryn hadnt looked up for the papers she was reading as she repeated these same words from the night before at Róta who only nodded.
They had been standing in the main sitting area of what was now their home. Brynhildr had issued it constructed. Lost in the woods like her own home was, but far enough that they could use the terrain to train. It had three floors. The bottom was dedicated to a small reception area for those visiting the complex. The second an indoor space for training, included where the bulk of on sight weaponry was housed. The Third had living spaces more then currently were needed but being prepared was best in any case. Róta left, as Brynhildrs turned lost in thought into office on the first floor, in a burst of grey smoke heading out to fetch their new charge.
