A much needed vaca...
PART 1
Destiny Blaze >KOED< | X | Up on the rooftop gym Destiny had finished her morning workout and now laid on the mat staring up at the clouds. The sun wasn't out, today it was cloudy and wet. A fine cool mist peppered her sweat covered body, it felt good. She had been waiting for her vacation with Matt but both had been so busy and she finally had some time. And she was ready to see what life had to offer beyond her home lands. So why couldn't she just go alone? She had thought about kidnapping Jacob and Nana, tho Jacob spent more time keeping Destiny and Nana outta trouble when the two were together.
Drawing her knees up to her chest and a quick jerk of her muscles the redhead was now standing. As relaxed as she had just been, her cabin fever was getting the best of her and she needed to just go ride. Ride cuz she wanted to, not cuz she had to. Not wanting to waste time packing she cheated and ported herself down to her bike. With a snap of her fingers her saddle bag was filled with essentials, a change of clothes, water bottles and snacks. Her yoga pants and sports bra transformed into her leathers.
A swing of her leg and she mounted her beloved bike her big brother made for her. With a kick start the engine roared to life. No matter where she went or how far away she knew those close to her could find her. Silas, he could sniff her out. Matt, they had a bond that would track each other to the ends of the earth. Jacob, well a protective big brother can always located his baby sister. As for her parents, well her mom's visions would pinpoint her children anywhere. Diana is not only her cousin but one of her bestie and she tells Diana everything.
Off the little redhead went, tires skidding on the slick asphalt. Destiny's red locks blew like fire in the wind as her bike races down the highway, the mist now a little heavier and pelted her face. The cool rain felt good against her heated flesh. She inhaled the scent of life beyond the walls and smiles at the freedom.
PART 2
Destiny Blaze >KOED< | X | Destiny had rode for miles, many miles beyond the safety of her home. The rain had stopped and the sun just began peeking out from behind the darkened clouds. With the promise of a warm sunny afternoon, the redhead couldn't hide her smile. On a straight stretch of highway her leathers turned to shorts, a black bikini top and sneakers replaced boots. Ahh, much more comfy.
Destiny barreled around a corner only to be met by a line of spirits awaiting her with savage smirks. She slammed the brakes and her bike tilted to its side. She sprang off the bike, flipping over the heads of the spirits. She landed the jump only narrowly, the impact of her feet raked the pavement leaving it crumpled before her. What she had worn in comfort was replaced with her suit and her body already flaming. "Surround her now!" One taller spirit demanded and the row now turned into a circle around her.
"What the fuck do you want?" She snarled whipping her chains around her. "Just you darling. Just you." The male spoke again this time in a evil whisper. "Well you can't have me." She growled back, she drops down and spins whirling her chains the knock over three behind her. "The Devil needs a word with you. And I suggest you listen or he will send us for you again." He stepped closer with a smirk and his eyes wild with excitement. "I'm not going anywhere with you or your goon squad." The spirits around her began a chant and the asphalt shook beneath her feet.
"Looks like you don't have much of a choice. He's coming for you as we speak." As the last word spilled from his lips a hand emerged from the ground and took hold of her ankle. But when she looked down the ground was glowing with a enchantment spell that held her within the circle. The only way out? Down. The asphalt ripped at her suit as she slowly was dragged below, there was no fight or struggle she was immobilized by the chanting spirits around her. Her chains wouldn't even budge. Destiny inhaled sharply and let the ground swallow her up and when her eyes opened she stood in the spirit world where she helped save Marcus by getting his rider back.
Everything was the same as up top except everything was burnt or burning, even the devil who stood before her with eyes of evil insanity. "What do you want asshole, I'm kinda busy." She snapped glaring at the man in front of her. "Simple..." He now paced slowly back and forth in from of her, his hands clasped behind his back. "Alright, what's simple?" Her eyes following him, she still stood in a circle of enchantment that held her captive.
"I want your father and that pesky uncle of yours. They owe me. And soon they will owe you. See they're both plotting on surrending you, the spirit of vengeance, to save themselves. So either you deliver them to me or I'll hold you here till they come for you." He stops in front of her and slithers nose to nose with her. "But I promise they won't come because I already have you." "FUCKING LIAR!" She spat. "Believe what you will darling spirit. But Abel isn't your father. Not really. Do you know How a spirit is recreated? Hmm... Your father's spirit was in charge of your father's body when you were conceived. Am I making sense to you yet? I mean come on, how does something like you come about?" Destiny drew back her head and head butted the devil. What good did that do? Detiny fell to her knees in pain, blood trickling between her eyes.
"Tisk tisk little one. You can't defeat me, hell you can't even harm me. But nice try tho." His laughter was enough to scare even the strongest of spirits. "Why do you need my dad and unk? You have all of these spirits ready to serve you and my fam wants nothing to do with you. What's the interest?" She stands smearing the blood on her face. "See here's the thing, you're the spirit of vengeance but you haven't accepted that yet. You're still weak." He inhaled deeply at her neck, his mouth watering. His burnt up scaly hands cup her cheek. "I'm going to break them and embody you with their spirits. I'm going to make you the strongest rider in history. And with that you're going to do my dirty work. My slave if you will." She chuckled. "Like hell you will. I won't give you my family. I won't turn on them ever." She's livid beyond control but that damned circle has her trapped.
Destiny jerks up to a sitting position and she's gazing confused at her wrecked bike that laid smashed against a tree. "What the fuck?" She rubbed her forehead but there was no sign of ever headbutting the devil. But she had a hefty lump on the back of her head. Slowly she stood, stumbling a bit till she managed to get herself together. She gazed over at the pavement where she had actually landed when meeting the spirits, but there was no trace of anything ever occuring here. Had it been just a dream? Or was it real?

Destiny Blaze >KOED< | X | Part 3
Surely this had all been because of the trip to retrieve her uncle's rider that this had been brought on. After all she did have a massive bulge in the back of her head. Destiny shook it off and healed herself from the head injury. "It was just a dream. Right?" She questioned herself as she hauled her bike to its upright position so she could look over the damage. "Jacob's gonna kill me." She sighs and ports her bike to her dad's garage and ports back her back up bike. Not her favorite, but she wasn't ready to go home with her tail tucked between her legs and have to explain what happened. "Oh I wrecked my bike and thought I was dragged to hell. Ya know the usual."
She kick starts the bike and pulls back out into the highway. This bike was more along the lines of a racing bike, fast but not built as well as her bike from Jacob. That was her prizes possession right there. Even though the weather was nice she remained in her leathers as she rode into a nifty little town. She could smell the home cooked restaurant in the heart of town making her stomach rumble with hunger. She managed to glide right into a spot an old beat up Ford truck had just pulled out of. With a push up of her glasses she headed inside. Forks and spoons clanking plates or bowls, sizzling sounds coming from the kitchen. A few town folk glances at her before resuming their conversations or shoveling their faces.
She saddled up at the counter and a short little women trotted her way. "What'll you have to drink honey?" Her voice bubbly and seemingly happy to be working. Maybe close to the end of her shift? Or she's genuinely happy about this place. She guessed the latter since she seems to know everyone. "A coke please." With a bright cheery smile she sauntered off to make her drink. "Ugh, to cheerful for me." She whispered to herself. The redhead poured over the menu and had selected her meal just as the waitress returned.
"You know what you want honey or do you still need a minute." She said sliding a frosted mug of coke in front of her. "Yeah, I'm ready. I'll have the steak and baked potato please. Well done on the steak." The redhead replied softly. The waitress disappeared into the kitchen and Destiny scanned the crowd. One would think they were sitting in the middle of a nursing home cafeteria by the looks of all the patrons. "You aren't from around these parts are ya?" Destiny turned to the deep voice beside her. "No sir, just passing thru." He smiled politely and gave her a nod. "Didn't think so, I'd remember a face like yours." He leans back in his stool. "What do you mean?" She asked cautiously. "Oh just that it's been a long time since my tired old eyes seen a woman as... Forgive me for being so blunt... But gorgeous." Destiny couldn't refrain from smiling. "I'm flattered. Thank you."
He chatted her up the whole time, it was nice to have a natural conversation with a stranger and not be all flamed out and ready to fight. She battled vampires and lycans, then soon after she helped her uncle Marcus get his spirit back from hell. Of course not the hell where Lucifer resides, but a realm of hell where all riders spirits wait for their next embodiment. Just earlier she swore she was held captive in hell, but there was no proof. And if it wasn't a dream she couldn't go near her dad or uncle, not until she found answers.
Destiny dropped a fifty on the counter to pay for her meal as well as the gentlemans she had spoken with, leaving a generous tip to the bubbly waitress. She shook hands with the old guy and parted ways. She straddled her bike and kick started it. She looked back in the picture window to wave one last time to the old man but only seen her own reflection and the backdrop of downtown. She pulled her shades down and hit the open road once more, this time more alert. Every turn she was prepared to attack but nobody was ever there with the exception of a car passing by. Little did she know, very soon she would see that old man again.... |
