Many things had happened as of late and one of them concerned her more than the others. The King, her father, was in turmoil and it could be seen on his face, heard in his voice and it was starting to cause rumors. The Queen was doing everything she could to find the reason for the King's sudden madness but she wasn't the only one. Ava knew Killian was looking into ways to help as well as Aisling but there was someone who was willing to help. It was just the price that concerned her.
It wasn't said aloud but Ava knew of a King who was willing to help her calm her father's mind. He had spoken to her a few times about simple things and she considered him a friend, but he was still a man with desires and she felt the only way he would help her family would be if she were to give herself to him. Not permanently but for a night would be all she would agree to but there had to be another way.
After she left her brother she went to sit with her father. He was sleeping soundly and she took his hand and whispered to him, creating a spell to make sure his dreams were good ones. Squeezing his hand she felt a tear roll down her cheek and brought his hand to her lips. "I can't bear to see you like this, daddy. You have to get better, find a way to break away from Merlin's grasp, and come back to us. I need you, we need you, and the Kingdom needs you." She cried softly but only in front of him. No one else could see her tears but they all knew she wouldn't stop until there was a way to break him from the dark magic he was under.
As she closed her eyes and began to think, she thought of something neither she nor her siblings had questioned. "The Elves." She sniffled and wiped her tears feeling a spark of hope inside her heart. "I know what to do now, daddy. I'll be back soon with a cure. I swear it on my life." She kissed his knuckles then placed his hand back down gently then gave him one more kiss on the cheek before she left his room. Quickly she went to her room, gathering anything and everything she needed for her journey. If anyone could counter the dark magic done by Merlin, it was the Elves. She just had to find them first.
