Oak is a halfbreed with her father being a seelie sidhe and her mother a Cherokee woman of the forests. Oak was born with the silvery hair of her father. In time her beloved mother 'White Deer' had died but Oak like her father were immortal. Her father wanting to leave the lands of Georgia behind had taken Oak to Washington State and there they lived with others of their kind. Oak's father, Hawthorne Starfrost, never sought love again as he had lost his heart, his soulmate, White Deer. His daughter, Oak, reminds him so much of her mother except for the telltale haircolour of the sidhe.
Oak is a messenger of the moon goddess. She lives in mushroom fields and quiet meadows but can also live in spider-webbed wonderlands of the forests of Seattle. She can only be seen when the bees swarm and the crickets chirrup at dusk. She wears lilac and purple like columbine flowers and has bright blue butterfly wings or she can be seen wearing dresses made of cobwebs and gossamer and has handsome pink butterfly wings
