Free World Story: Storms and Angels.

Free World Story: Storms and Angels

Seven took a few steps out into the gardens of the estate. His eyes lifted from the vivid green grass to the blurred greys of the sky. Despite the warmth it was evident that there was a storm in the horizon. Here in blackthorn, even a simple storm could be deadly and it filled even him with a single moment of fear.

Readying himself to return to the warmth of his home he suddenly found his eyes drawn to a small movement in the grass. His curiosity peeked, he wonders forward seeing a small ball of fur, shaking in pain and panic. He knelt down his heart beating loud enough to be heard over the storm and finally made out the small bird. It's left wing damaged, likely from birth it had seemingly been left behind. A quick look around showed the empty eggshells that confirmed this.

Seven reached down, wrapping his hands underneath it and lifting it up. "It's okay little one. You are not alone now" he whispered. The storm was growing closer, and if Seven took the young creature in it would never find its family. He wouldn't let that happen.

Reaching to his pocket he took a small knife and cut his thumb. His blood trickled out, with Seven pressing it to the wound on the birds wing. "Easy little one, it'll all be over soon". The brief panic of the birds confusion was suddenly negated by its growing strength as its wing began to heal, indeed it grew stronger than ever as Sevens blood healed it. With the storm approaching, creeping ever closer, Seven lifted the beautiful creature towards the fence surrounding the estate.

Above him in the heavens a flock circled waiting to fly away "go my little friend, it's okay now. The storm can never hurt you. Your free to fly the sky's and never know pain". He lifted his hands and let the small angel fly into the sky, joining its family far above him.

(In loving memory of little Molly. RIP angel, the storms can't harm you anymore).

Free World Story: Bad Wolf.

Free World Story: Bad Wolf.

Thirty years ago...

Young Jovie ran through the tree's fear etched on his face. The Stars and Moons offered little light for him to see and in truth he likely wouldn't want to see if he could. Bursting through the tree's, with relief he saw the outer villages of his home. The Viking Nation. The homesteads were as settled as they could be and yet the moment he called out the empty communal areas burst to life.

"Bad Wolf! I saw it! It's back!"

The first to reach him was the leader of the village, Ognin Evo. "Jovie, what were you doing out in the woods? Are you hurt?"

Jovie, still shaking responded hesitantly "we were hunting, we knew the Viking trials were coming up and ..."

Ognin interrupted quickly "we? Who were you..." But he knew. Jovie was a young boy that was hard to get along with and only one person could ever work with him. "Jovie...where is my son? Where is Agnar?"

Now, Japan...

The doctor gave the Queen Lucinda a bow "thank you for your hospitality. And erm, sorry about the mess that alien made. I'm sure the green splatters will wash out" he turned to heather sheepishly. "we should go pick up your new goddaughter then! I promised we would take her to see her mum and dads wedding in the tardis".

Queen Lucinda wiped the green mess off her hand as she turned to face the doctor."I wish things had not gotten so messy .. but at least we know it wont come back. your welcome Doctor and Heather. we don't get many guests." Lucinda waved  as they left.

"tell my Cousin I said hello!" Lucinda added. Heather nodded as the left.' I always liked her..." heather commented as he opened the doors that lead them outside. "you know you could have done the clean up better, you just like messes." heather said giving the Doctor a look.

As they stepped into the tardis, the doctor tried to ignore her comment. Instead he mumbled to himself "I'm a doctor not a cleaner" he stroked the tardis control panel "okay beautiful let's go visit our little charity". The sound of the tardis kicking into gear filled the air as slowly it's blue form vanished from the mainland of Japan. At the same moment it arrived on the lawn outside the Temp'elar Estate. "Okay, two rules... One: No  making fun of me in front of our guests. Two: if we end up in the wrong place pretend it was a surprise!"

Heather leaned against the controls knowing it wouldn't take long. She laughed at his statement. "me? make you look bad?" she walked over to the  Doctor and fixed his shirt "sweetie you do that on your own" Heather turned and walked to the doors. "it's always a surprise were we land ..." She added as they walked outside.

Inside the Temp'elar Estate Cal noted the sound of the Tardis right on time, something of a surprise considering the Doctors rather ironic poor time keeping. "Charity, your godmother and her ride are here for you". Charity had been anxiously looking forward to the promised trip back in time to see her parents, Cal and Mizzy, getting married. Cal, however knew the truth. The Doctor wanted to see how the time paradox that had led to her unusual birth was effecting her and a trip through time would be the only way to do that.

Outside the Doctor now stood, looking up to the window and gave Cal a wave. He loved coming to this estate. It was full of history, something the Doctor loved. It usually led to trouble too, something else the Doctor loved!

"She will be right down Doctor" Cal called then turned back in "Charity, don't keep them waiting".

At her Daddy’s second yell for her, Charity lets outa huff as she gives her mini top hat one last adjustment, trying to get it right. Deciding not to mess with perfection anymore, Charity practically prances down the stairs, her large suitcase thumbing along. “Hold your horses Daddy and don't get your panties into a twist. Perfection can not be rushed. Once Heather and the Doctor see me I am sure they will understand anyways” she leans up and gives her Daddy a kiss on the cheek as she grins at him.

The doctor gave a wave up towards Calcifer and then applauded the arrival of Charity "oh just wonderful. Look at you all growing up!" He gave a glance back to Heather with a smile. Heather knew that this wasn't just a trip. The two of them needed to assess any long term effects of Charities rather unusual birth but needed her in the Tardis to do this. "Well then let's get into the Tardis and go see your parents wedding!" He walked over opening the door "and before you say it, yes bigger on the inside, yes it's a police box, no it doesn't matter that nobody knows what a police box is and yes it is amazing". Heather looked over to charity. "he's trying to impress you, always does with new guests. "Heather turned back to the doctor. "He is very good at impressing people". Charity smiled "should we tell him that us beautiful ladies arent impressed with just fancy words? We need actions and more importantly, beautiful worthy items"

The Doctor was oblivious to their chatter and instead ran to the controls starting up the Tardis. "Don't worry this is the most advanced work of art ever created, we never get lost. There isn't even a chance of anything going wrong!"

Twenty seconds later, the doctor stood outside the Tardis in a large grass field looking across at five viking soldiers pointing there axes at him. "Why do we always end up in the wrong place?" Heather felt the hard landing and walked behind the doctor to the doors of the tardis. " where did you ...." She stopped speaking and watched as the Viking surrounded them. Charity follows Heather to the door, her eyes widening when she sees the Vikings. Nudging Heather she grinned "think they're here to play?" Charity tries to joke, until she heard the seriousness in Heather's next words "Charity get behind me ..."

"This can't go on! This monster has been attacking our outer villages and outposts for months now". Ognin tried to compose himself as best he could before continuing his petition to the Viking King.

"Your highness, we are a strong people. Under your rule we grow more powerful each season! Even the King of Camelot has taken notice, if this continues we will look weak and..."

Before he could continue the King stood tall from his throne "Enough!" He slowly composed his roar and speak in a calm but firm voice "You think I am so alone on my throne that I do not hear of what happens in every village under my rule? This attempt to play on our people vanity to look strong is beneath you". He sat back down, noting the people in attendance settling. "This is about your son. Young Agnar attempted to hunt the beast did he not, and now he is missing".

Ognin bowed his head "forgive me sire. Yes, it is my son I am currently concerned for. But how many of our children must fall before we act". He could tell that the King had thought the same. Suddenly behind him the doors opened as a young viking led in his troop of soldiers along with a group of prisoners "Your highness! I have found intruders on our land! They practice witch craft and have magicked themselves into our nation in a ship of blue!"

The King gave a scowling look to the Viking before turning to Origin. "Forgive Bloodstone. My son is eager to prove himself a strong leader but he is a better fighter than he is decision maker". Bloodstone looked around aware suddenly he had interrupted a discussion. Before the debate could continue the skinny face of the Doctor popped from behind Bloodstone "excuse me, hi! I'm the Doctor. Alien time lord, science genius, not a witch... I couldn't help but over-hear that you have some sort of problem with what sounds like a beast in the woods?"

Origin looked back at the Doctor with curiosity. He didn't fear witchcraft nor anything else. Save for the loss of his son. "Your highness, I say this man and his... Rather small female companions are a message from the gods. Let me lead them and a few of my men into the woods to find my son, and this beast".

The Doctor glanced back. He had already forgotten about Charity being here. Perhaps this was one monster hunt he should ignore. He opened his mouth, preparing to decline the offer...

Origin added "I am sure we can defeat this creature that the locals call the Bad Wolf".

The Doctor froze and whispered "bad wolf...". He turned back to Heather "it seems we have a creature to find" then glanced to Charity "and you have a young boy to find".

That evening, back in the village...

"Bad Wolf, Charity, are two words that have followed me across time and space. They are the universes way of telling me that something big is coming". He was, for once more concerned than excited by the trouble following them. Especially given that it was probably no coincidence that the Bad Wolf, whatever it was, happened to be here while Charity was. "Myself and Heather will investigate this creature. Ideally I would want you to stay away from this whole situation but I know you'll just ignore me so I want you to go with the Vikings to find this young boy. Perhaps another young mind will help them find him".

The following morning the two groups set off with their differing tasks. The Viking soldier that escorted Charity into the woods appeared I'll at ease around the quirky youngster. However he did his best to engage with her. He knew after all that she was likely unnerved by the stories of the Bad Wolf, not that she showed it. "It started attacking people around here well over two hundred years ago, at least that's the earliest story of it. But it comes and goes, often not seen or heard of for years".

Her eyes roaming over the Viking soldier escorting her, Charity grins big as she wonders how he would feel about her using him as a steampunk guinea pig. She had been trying her hand at creating steampunk clothing and she could see him wearing a steampunk top hat…with Viking influences of course. She taps on her chin as she thinks of what the Viking said about the creature, having trouble figuring out what it could be just off of that. Then again Charity wasn't really that old and hadn't had many chances to hear about a lot of different creatures. Her Mama and Daddy told her fairy tails not nightmares.

One Viking in the group behind them joining the search added "it's a massive mutant of a thing girl, you see it, you run!" The First Viking chit him a glare "don't listen to him young Charity. Nobody has ever seen it and survived. Nobody knows what it looks like. By the way, my name is Ognin Evo, I appreciate you helping to find my son".

Charity felt her hackles raise at the other Viking soldiers words. What did he think she was some weakling who couldn't hold her own in a fight? She ignores what he said though and focus her attention on the other Viking, who she now knows to be Ognin Evo. She waves off his appreciation as she gives him a wide grin “Nothing to thank me for Ognin!” she crosses her arms behind her as she practically prances beside him.

"These caves ahead... You think he could be in there?" Asked Ognin, pointing to a network of deep caverns. A half way point between the Viking Nation and the outskirts of Camelot they rarely ventured this far.

Cocking her head to the side she eyes the cave, giving a shrug “If I was a young teen boy…I would probably hide out there. Its dirty and grimy and isn't that what teen boys like?”

Elsewhere...

The doctor looked down at his screwdriver "the DNA I got from the remains of the body are all over the place. Even the Tardis couldn't tell me what this bad wolf is!" He said for about the tenth time to Heather. He gave the screwdriver a bang "but, it's picking up a signal ahead. I don't know what it is but it's somewhere in this cavern".

Heather crossed her arms over her chest " is it the tardis again ? Like before ? giving us clues still to whatever it is ?" Heather asked knowing the story of rose Tyler and bad wolf. Of her putting the words. Through our time and space for the doctor to find. Her eyes looked up to the path they had to follow. " Doctor , I ... For once I am not sure if following it is a good idea ..." But nothing she said would change his mind. He was a blood hound.

The doctor looked back to her. He hadn't said much before whilst Charity was around but he knew he could tell Heather. "We are not meant to be here at all. Charity... She is what brought us here. I can only guess that this boy, Agnar is the reason. The link. He grows to be a king that declares war on her family essentially. We can look into this animal, whilst she resolves her fate".

Heather hadn't told the Doctor this , but before this trip herself and charity had been spending time together. Heathers time vortex jumper always broke or misfired around charity.  Heather could tell that time was off around her god daughter. " Doctor it's always been this way. Hasn't it. She was meant to find us. " Heather asked looking into the eyes of her closet friend.

The Doctor nodded as he led them deeper into the cave "we knew from the beginning that she was a living paradox just like her father. But she was born this way. I knew taking her through time would be the only way for the Tadis to understand her but..." He paused looking to the sonic screwdriver and readjusting their path "...but it seems time itself is trying to make sense if her. Though I don't quite understand why of all people it would bring her to Agnar, a man she never even met". Suddenly ahead he heard a roar, something terrifying yet in pain!

Heather looked to the cave walls. " since when has time ever made since doctor ? We both know it has a mind of its ..." Her comment was broken when she heard the scream.

The Doctor ran through the caves just in time to see a figure crouched down, surrounded by what appeared to be Its own blood. The figure appeared to be almost human, yet overly muscled with excessive hair and long claws. It's eyes were filled with rage and anger. Fury to a level that wasn't natural. "I think..." He whispered "...we have found the bad wolf. Now, whatever you do... Don't. Make. A sound".

"RAAAARRRGGH" came a raw as a small athletic figure came charging in! The boy, in his early teens hurled a spear which pierced the bad wolfs arm yet seemed only to draw his attention, the creature showing no sign of pain. "Oh well that's just typical" whispered the Doctor before leaping down from the ledge "Geronimo!" He called out only to see the bad wolf leaping towards him! The beast shoved him sending him flying back into the wall before turning back to the boy "I'm gonna taste your organs boy" it growled before the sound of footsteps signalled the arrival of Charity and the Vikings.

"Charity ?!" Heather yelled , running down the dark cave halls toward the sound. If something had happened to her God daughter she'd never forgive herself.

The creature ran into the dark and escaped as the Doctor came to his senses. "Charity?". Behind her the hulking figure of Ognin came charging past and grabbed his son. "Agnar! You foolish boy, you could have been killed by that monster".

The teenager, red with embarrassment stood back "I would have defeated him, been a warrior like you!" He slowly calmed and returned a hug to his father before noting the strange girl at his side. Ognin turned to her and smiled "this is charity. She helped us find you. These people are going to help us stop this monsters rampage".

The doctor looked through the caves, using his sonic screwdriver to scan them "these caves... They come out into the outskirts of Camelot correct?"

Ognin gave a nod, mostly distracted by the relief of seeing his son again.

"Then i think we have a problem. If one of there outlying villages is killed by a hairy savage man coming from the Viking Nation lands... There could be a war. One that isn't meant to happen!"

The creature ran without any pause, leaping over rocks and fallen trees. In the distance he saw a heard of deer. Their beauty and grace was a thing to behold. Yet the creature called bad wolf showed his lack of compassion and appreciation by charging towards them. For miles around the screams could be heard as it sadistically tore through them.  The animals were left in a mound of ripped flesh. A decaying monument to a creature on a path to set about a war that would alter time.

The doctor was unusually quiet, and despite only knowing him a short time Ognin was astute enough to notice this. "This creature. Do you know what it is?" The Vikings question hung unanswered for a moment until the doctor realised suddenly that it had been directed at him. "Oh...no, no I don't. It's just, well our presence here has set it on a path it would not otherwise have taken and if anything should..."

The sentence ended abruptly, drowned out by a series of gasps. Among the mighty Viking warriors even the sounds of vomiting could be heard as the site of the small village, now just a series of shattered buildings and meat...bones...came into view.

Not even bodies could be seen, for it wasn't clear where one persons remains ended and another's began.

"Camelot?" The doctor asked, trying to ignore the horror of what he was seeing to focus on the horror that would follow if war broke out at this point in history.

"..." Ognin struggled to speak, his warriors eyes filling up at the sight of a small when toy. Their had been children. Suddenly he turned to the Doctor "no...no not yet. These villages are not aligned to anyone. Just a family or two. This... This could have been my Agnar. Or even my wife. She is expecting our second soon too, and she has been so I'll. if this had happened in our village..."

Suddenly with frustration the doctor cut him off "IT DIDNT!" He took a deep breath "it happened here. And now these people are dead. And we have two bigger concerns. Firstly if this happens nearer Camelot your people's will be thrown into a war that will destroy both Kingdoms. And secondly, why are Agnar and Charity so quiet". He turned quickly then to Heather. All three looked around just in time two see the bushes in the distant woods shaking.

Agnar ran through the woods, chasing the shadowed figure he had seen on the outskirts of the massacre. The little village, known only as Norris Green would now be famous for being the sight of a massacre. Agnar was young, but he wasn't as easily phased as the others had been his focus had remained alert and noted the creature escaping the scene. Suddenly hearing yet another sound behind him he turned lifting his spear, instead seeing a young girl "charity?"

Charity stumbles to a halt, the tip of Agnar’s spear practically in her face. Blinking, she merely cocks her head to the side, pushing the spear away “Careful with that, you wouldn't want to hurt little ole…little young me” She gives him a grin as she walks around him, looking in the direction he had been headed. “So you saw the bad wolf escaping too?” Looking back at him, she motions forward “Two sets of eyes are better than one right? We can find him together” she gives Agnar a thumbs up and a silly grin.

Agnar's faced shifted into a grin. "Good thinking. Your not as dull minded as your friends" he looked around the opening, a former campsite it seemed. Various cooking utensils scattered over the floor.

The doctor ran after the youngsters gesturing to Heather "come on! If charity catches up with that beast God knows what it will do?" He pushed through the trees using his screwdriver to scan for Temp'elar DNA "this doesn't make sense... Heather, I'm getting two signals".

Agnar lowered his spear as he approached Charity, then suddenly raised it again turning but too late. From behind him, a figure leapt out, it's claws slicing across his chest leaving deep wounds. It's charge shattered the spear before vanishing again, circling them.

Charity rushes to Agnar’s side, biting down hard on her bottom lip. The wounds looked bad and was bleeding heavily…which was a problem for Charity. Angar’s blood smelled and looked amazing. Shaking her head of those thoughts, she looks at him frantic with worry “We have to get to help Agnar” she glances around them, knowing that might be harder than they thought.

Deep in the trees the creature they called Bad Wolf licked the blood from his fingers. The sight of death was glorious yet the sight taste and smell of suffering was better. "You can't help him little girl. You can only decide to die with him or run" he shouted then edging closer whispered "and die alone...". He closed his eyes breathing in deeply. Her scent was families somehow. So very familiar.

Charity's eyes continue to shift between the trees surrounding them. She was trying to pinpoint where the Bad Wolf was but it's voice echoed throughout the woods. Without thinking of her precious skirt, she rips a ruffle off and presses it to Agnars wounds. Maybe what she did next was a dumb move, but Charity was never one to be won over. "Why don't you stop being a coward and come out to face me" she stands up, trying not to be tempted by the blood on her hands "Or are you afraid of a little girl?"

Agnar looked up to her shaking his head vigorously "don't..." She was brave and damn it he knew she wouldn't back down. But she should. Their was a time to fight and a time to pray. "Afraid? Do you know what fear is little girl? If you knew what I was you would know it all to well. I can feel your heart beating. I can taste the bitterness on your lips..." He stepped out of the shadows, his eyes filled with anger and rage "...and your wrath...l can feel that most of all". He leapt forward, wrapping his hands around her neck and pinning her to the floor "I can smell him on you...".

Heather kept up with the doctor. Years of running had always taught her to be ready with the doctor. So much running. " I think hlaf the time that things broken !" Heather yelled to the doctor. Though the sonic was right 99% of the time , it had it says of being wrong. Heathers pushed herself harder to run. " what does that mean ?? Two DNA ?"

The doctor suddenly stopped running "wait... A thought.... NOOOOO, no no no no it couldn't be?" He quickly checked the date on the screwdriver. "Oh my god, I know what the bad wolf is! We have to hurry!"

What !?" Heather almost fell over her own feet trying to stop. She wrapped her arms around the doctor to herself stop. "who , who is the ..-"AAAAAA!!!!" Heather couldn't tell where the scream came from , but she knew who. "it's charity !" Heather started to run off in the direction she heard the scream.

Pinned to the ground, she let's out a chocked gasp of both fear and surprise. The bravado she was once expressing was instantly gone as she realizes the danger she is in. She could sense the malicious and wrath coming of the Bad Wolf, causing her to claw and struggle to get free. "Please..."

Suddenly, the bad wolf let out a roar as his side was pierced by a spear. Agnar pushed it in deeper, throwing the monster back "I don't die easily Bad Wolf! Maybe I'm already dead!" The creature turned pushing Agnar across the camp site.

Running from out of the woods Heather noted that the shadow of bad wolf looked wounded. "charity!" Heather yelled pulling her a side from the stabbed form. Heather looked around for a weapon and found a frying pan and hit bad wolf over the head with it.

"A frying pan?" The Doctor asked then aimed his screwdriver towards the creature "long time no see" he said and with a high pitched screech from the device the Bad wolf fell to his knees. He screamed out and his skin began to tremble. His bones could be heard to crack and his muscles tear. With a roar he creature stood glancing at Heather and then Charity "see you again" it growled and ran into the woods.

Agnar went to give chase but the Doctor put his arm across to stop him "no!" He placed a hand on his shoulder "I upset his genetic make up, it will be many years before he can return to do any harm. And by then the Viking Nation will be... At no risk".

Later that night...

The celebration in the Viking Capitol was long and filled with wine and meats. A few fights broke out also, as the soldiers exadurated their roles in slaying the beast. Agnar however remained silent as whispers began to spread about the young Viking warrior that couldn't die. "They really do throw a wonderful party don't they Heather?" Her lack of response and glare made it clear she wouldn't rest without an answer. The Doctor gave a sigh "okay... The Tardis wasn't pulled here because of Charities connection to Agnar. It was pulled here by her connection to the Bad Wolf". He lifted the screwdriver exposing a small screen, showing to her shock the true face of the creature.

"Good bye Agnar, you take care and try not to get in trouble" said Charity with a smile. Agnar gave her a smile back, hoping the other Vikings didn't see his crush. The Doctor and Heather gave him and his friends a nod as they walked back to the Tardis in silence. Once inside its engines fired to life the Doctor turned to Charity. Heather was still silent, likely from the shock of who the bad wolf was. "We will be back in Blackthorn now, right by your estate!" Charity bounced excitedly to the door and opened it. "Ummm hi there" she said to the tall female samurai standing in front of her, looking cautiously at "I'm Charity Temp'elar. Where exactly are we?"

The female smiled "I am Noshiko, your uncle Philips Samurai guard. You are in Tokyo Japan!"

The Doctor smiled nervously at her "close enough!?"

Elsewhere, in the past they had just left...

On the outskirts of Camelot the crumpled bloody mess of what had been the Bad Wolf began to drag itself to his feet "not again" he said, with shame and regret. He approached a nearby building, a monastery and knocked on the large doors. A cloaked figure opened the door "welcome my son, who are you and what do you seek?"

"My name... My name is Seven" he lifted his head "and I need some help controlling my Wrath".

Temp'elar Family Event: An anniversary gift from Calcifer to Mizzy.

Temp'elar Family Event: An anniversary gift from Calcifer to Mizzy.

The Joy of Love

7th of December:

Cal stood looking down to the file in his hands. The plain brown card held documents, notes and pictures all related to a family. He looked up and across the broken ruins of the old gentlemen's club that had been a shell of broken glass and corpses ever since the birth of the zombie infection that consumed Blackthorn Town.

"Tell me, why should I trust you? Why should I have even come here, met you behind my fathers back?" His eyes cast back down to the file labelled 'Lovejoy'.

Across the room the hooded figure sat crouched over on the bar. "Because it's what she would have wanted".

Cal tilted his head and took a deep breath, letting it out as a sigh. He thought back to that moment at the end of the Battle of the Asylum, watching with a strange feeling of sadness as Vena, the zombie like nurse that had worked with his family only to betray them had fallen to her death. What had made it saddest was that she had meant no harm, no ill. She had just done what she was meant to do.

"She died because of me" the hooded figure said, dropping down from the bar and walking forwards. He pulled his hood back to show the face of Randolf Blackthorn, the man that had used science to resurrect Vena as part of his experiments. Making her the zombie like emotionless but very much living creature she had been at the time of her final death. What he had never expected was that she had called him father. And he had loved her.

Calcifer still hated Randolf, yet he couldn't help but pity him. "My father told her about the original file he had found. That Vena in her first life had been Mizzy's mother. That Fizzy was her sister. But you knew that all along didn't you? That's why you never hurt Mizzy in any of our confrontations. It was you wasn't it? The robed hooded figure myself and Mizzy met when we ran here after the gang that attacked the circus?"

Randolf nodded "Zero, your fathers brother had manipulated the media to blame Mizzy for the burning of the circus. I needed to keep her safe and knew your family would do that. As an added bonus she was able to work with Vena. Mother and daughter together".

Calcifer put the file under his arm and turned to walk away trying to swallow the bitter pill that Randolf, the man he had hated most had protected the women he loved. He stopped and turned back "I know that you have been spending time with Charity. She is your Grandaughter, and despite not trusting you I trust her. But if you ever hurt her, I'll..." He stopped. He could see in Randolfs eyes that he wouldn't. The maniacal monster he had become famous as was somehow lost. More human. Calcifer wasn't sure why, but he felt hope. "Your wrong about one thing Randolf. Your not responsible for Vena's death. You were responsible for her life".

Hours past as Cal checked through the contents back in the estate. One was a picture of Venus Lovejoy, looking so different to her days as Vena but still so beautiful. Another showed the two girls with their mother. A number of various medical records showed details of Venus's illness. She had died painlessly, something he knew Mizzy would be pleased to know. Another picture showed their home, in a small town a days ride away from Blackthorn and then their was a letter. His face flushed red. It was from Venus, to Mizzy.

8th of December:

Cal finished the last of his meal in the restaurant he had booked for he and Mizzy on their anniversary. The two sat laughing, kissing. They spoke about another year together. The birth of their twins and watching Charity grow to be a wonderful young girl. And then, inevitably the events of the War of the Dead arose. The discovery for Mizzy of her mother after her death. Cal placed a hand on hers and looked deep into the candles. "On that note baby, I think it's time I leave you with your Anniversary present.

The photo of her mother...

The photo of the three together...

And then the letter. She trembled, her cockiness shaken as she opened it:

"My dearest Mizzy

I know now you are too young to fully understand what is happening and where I am going. But hopefully one day you will read this and understand. I never wanted to leave you, but I'm only human. The doctors have done all they can and I'm so grateful for all they have done but my one regret is that I'll never get to see you grow. Never get to stand side by side with you as a women, and by God I know you will be a beautiful one!

Their may be dark times ahead for you. Fizzy will take this very hard and I'm afraid they may not keep you together when they find homes for you so please promise that one day you will find her?

I have one thing more to say my beautiful daughter and this is as real as I have ever been. You are the most beautiful person I've ever known. I made you, gave you life. I gave you your beautiful face. But you have made yourself who you are today. And I couldn't be prouder.

My Mizzy, I loved you with all of my heart. Tell Fizzy I loved her so much.

Know that when I finish this letter my lest breath will be with my girls on my mind, your names on my lips and love for you in my heart

Forever your mother, Venus Lovejoy".

Tears in her eyes but a smile on her lips Mizzy looked to the last item. A picture of the home of her Mother. Where she and her sister had grown. Her brow furrowed and in confusion she turned and looked out of the window. There it was. The house. Her childhood home. And infront of it stood Cal, a smile on his face and a set of keys dangling in his fingers.

"Happy Anniversary baby" he mouthed as he tilted the sign outside the door. It read 'The Lovejoy-Temp'elar residence".

The end

Temp'elar Family Event: Lilliana joins the family.

Calcifer glanced over to Luna, initially surprised by the new face. Finally he gave a smile and stepped forward giving his most charming, if slightly giddy smile "well, then I guess your like my cousin or something". Seven looked over to his son nodding. Cal returned his fathers nod. Finally Cal turned back to the raven haired women who was making her first appearance in their family "welcome to your new home Liliana".

Three months earlier...

Seven hadn′t expected to hear from Lilliana like this, and the subtle note being delivered to the academy smelt like a set up. After all, many of the vampire community where not exactly fond of him, given his habit of hunting their more violent brethren. Meeting in a town a day by car away from blackthorn, Seven arrived at the point the letter had asked him to come too. Unsurprisingly the time chosen had been just after sun set. The vampire friendly circumstances should have tweaked his suspicion even further. If it was a trap he knew Lilliana was the bait not the culprit. But if it wasn′t, she needed help.

Inside the building Lilliana heard the door opening. She gripped onto the arm rests if the chair, her strong grip leaving marks in the wood. The desire to feed was growing each day, something having turned it from a nutritional requirement to a dangerous need that she was trying to fight "come in Seven. I can′t harm you". Seven recognised the voice but it did little to settle his worries. A voice that usually was filled with confidence was shaking and unsure "I got your note..." He said quietly barely able to make out her outline. Her voice remained tensed as she interrupted "I can′t fight it! The hunger! I want to feed more than I should. I just..." She took a deep breath focusing her words "I need help. I don′t want to harm people for no reason". Seven stepped closer and knelt down in front of her. Her face was tensed and filled with a tension he had not seen before.

"When we met..." She began a mixture of hope and desperation in her eyes "... You explained that you knew vampires that had overcome their bloodlust′s. Whatever has caused this in me... Can you help me?"

Four days later...

"She is doing far better, the blood you let her take has helped take the urge away dramatically" Brianna informed Seven. Inside the medical bay within the Temp′elar Estates grounds Lilliana lay on the medical bed as a scanner ran some tests. Brianna walked over to Lilliana placing a comforting hand on her shoulder "your looking a lot better Lilliana" she said, a comforting hand placed on her shoulder. Lilliana looked up her expression calm and settled. Finally she spoke "thank you Miss Brianna, the techniques you taught me seem to be helping".

Seven stepped closer "have we any idea what caused the sudden change in her drives? I know all vampires need to feed but this never ending drive you described..." Lilliana jumped in "it was beyond anything I had ever felt". Brianna waited a moment "I wish I had an answer. I consulted with Queen Kaya, Serafelle, nobody can identify it. But what has been identified is that it isn′t an isolated incident". Lilliana sat up concerned "what do you mean?" Seven clearly had the same concerns. "I mean" Brianna continued "that vampire attacks are slowly increasing and I believe what effected you is effecting others".

Later that night in the medical bay with her thoughts clearer Lilliana began to feel for those she had fed on. Her eyes began to tear up at the senseless loss. She felt a warm trickle run down her cheek but didn′t try to wipe it. "The fact that your so upset is a good sign. It shows that your gaining control". Seven stood  in front of her handing her a tissue. She took it dabbing her cheek "only because of the training from Brianna. And your blood. Without that I could return to my former state at any time... How will I be sure to avoid that when I leave?" Seven placed a hand on hers "you won′t need to face that answer. I want you to become a part of our family".

Present day...

A pregnant Mizzy stood next to Calcifer and a giddy Luna. Around the room Kaya, Philip, Lucinda and Serafelle stood with warm smiles greeting the new family member. Brianna stepped in behind Lilliana. Seven already stood next to her began to introduce each of the family. The greetings slowly faded as each person gave their story and greeted Lilliana in their own way. Finally the group dispersed and Lilliana was left to catch her breath. "So... This is my home now?" Seven and Bri stood with her and nodded. Bri finally spoke up "it is. Lilliana Temp′elar". Seven reached to his pocket and presented her with a gold ring with a silver cross, one that each of them owned.

"Welcome to our family".

A Temp'elar Story: Teardrop in the Ocean.

A Temp'elar Story: Teardrop in the Ocean.

Calcifer sat up and let out a sigh. His feet hit the floor of his bedroom quietly, leaving his wife Mizzy fast asleep. Today was his least favourite day of the year, a day on which a years worth of avoidance and procrastination fell atop him like a burning building. He walked across to the calendar, hoping against hope that he had calculated wrong. But of course, he hadn't. Today was his birthday.

Within a few moments, Calcifer was dressed and had put on his coat. He had moved with such stealth around the family estate that not even his faithful companion Mittens had woken, something that deserved applause. But the moment he opened the door applause was far from his mind. Rain battered down onto the grounds in a way that left him certain that he and the Town of Blackthorn were bonded emotionally. He lifted his hood and walked out of the door.

The grounds were of epic proportions. At some times it felt like the Temp'elar Estate was the focal point of the whole world, and today for Calcifer it was. His destination in sight he found his steps slower, more laboured until finally he reached it. The Garden of Remembrance. And here among the graves, tombs and memorials of family members, he knelt in the damp grass. Before the grave of his twin sister Alana.

"You would have loved this today. The more miserable the weather the happier you were" he whispered, holding back the tears. "Not that you would have come out anyway. You and Dad spent half your lives in that bloody asylum. Working away, researching. That place killed you and now Mizzy seems to have taken over right were you left off". He shuddered at the thought but then smiled. "I remember when we were the kids in this family. You me and Luna, though back then Luna was too timid to be away from Dad for more than a few minutes. You would hardly recognise her now!"

He turned looking back to the estate itself. "You would hardly recognise the family either... New faces. It's grown so much, but..." he paused chocking back and failing, tears that fell from his face. "...but it's still not the same without..."

He paused his jaw dropping. In the distance, though it couldn't be, he swore she was there. The image of his beloved twin Alana running towards him in the mist of the rain! He rubbed his tear filled eyes the salt stinging them. He blinked hard and finally the figure came into view. Not his sister, but his daughter, Charity.

Had it been anybody else he would have felt an understandable wave of disappointment, but such feeling was impossible at the sight of his little girl. Her accelerated ageing due to a temporal paradox had sped her to her late teens after only a year, both mentally and Physically. And yet he knew she would never have seen him on this day.

"Dad! What you doing out here in the rain?" She bounced over hugging him, a little tighter than normal as if she could sense something. "It's your birthday, you should..."

She paused, looking down to the grave and swallowed hard. She knew her father had had a twin, just as she had. They had both lost their siblings also, only Charities sister Absinthe, had been sent into the future where she would live a long life under the care of her Grandfather.

"It's her birthday too sweetie" Cal said in a quiet and slightly croaky voice. "I never have a birthday without remembering her, remembering what I lost that day in the asylum". He let out a controlled sigh and turned to her. Again, he could have sworn he saw his sister, but not in some distant hallucination caused by water in his eyes. This time he saw her in his daughters eyes. In her smile. And as she leant in resting her head on his chest, he felt her in his daughters embrace.

They held for a moment and finally the rain stopped, the sun a rare thing in Blackthorn Town, cracking through the clouds. Charity stepped back looking up "seems the rain is letting up dad".

Calcifer smiled a genuine smile, something he never did on this day. "Your right sweetie. Looks like their may be some sun in the sky after all".

The two held hands and began to walk back to the estate when charity ran back and hugged the gravestone "happy birthday auntie Alana! Love you!"

Cal felt a weight lift from him. As his daughter ran back "tell me all about her dad! I won't to know what she was like".

"A lot like you. Beautiful, fiery and no sense of danger!" The two laughed and walked back towards the estate. With Alana's memory alive in their hearts.

The End.

Free World Event: Jenny is Born.

Free World Event: Jenny is Born.

'The Doctors Family'

Free World. It was the Doctors favourite planet. The people were so diverse. It's nations ranging from advanced cities to rural farmlands and castles, hundreds of years old. But whilst he loved it here he currently wanted to be anywhere else. Not because of his struggles to stay in one place too long. Not because of his loneliness.

But because he was being chased by a mutated dragon.

"I'm sorry I didn't know it was your tail!" He shouted back as he fled from the massive lumbering creature across the shore of Dragonia's Charred Land. He leapt over a large rock feeling it shatter behind him as the dragons fire hit it. His eyes popped up. "You looked like a tree! I've always found trees confusing". It roared.

The Doctor again ran  hearing it's footsteps gaining on him, with the blue box shaped ship, his Tardis,  just in reach. He ran faster, his hat flying off and on to the floor as he leapt into his Tardis, slamming the door behind him. He stumbled into the quirky looking time machine and pulled a lever, sending him travelling anywhere... Any when. Until the vessel finally hummed to a halt.

Outside the hissing blue box three humanoids stood, there strange weapons pointing at it. They glanced to each other, curious. They were advanced as a species, advanced enough to know of other species existing. But this was not something they had ever seen. Finally one of them lowered his weapon and stepped forward. Three times his knuckle knocked on the door.

Nothing.

Suddenly the door creaked open. "Are their any dragons out there?" He whispered. They looked curiously at each other. "Dragons" the voice asked again "big things, large teeth...".

"No... Um, sir can you step out of the box please?" The guard asked.

The doctor checked his hair and fixed his bow tie then stepped out. "Certainly, now where am I exactly? This looks like I'm underground and why is it so cold?"

"Your in the polar regions of the planet..."

"Polar!" He called out "oh that's wonderful I haven't seen snow in a long long time!" He pushed past them, running through the corridors with the guards in chase. He ran up the stairs and swung the door open, looking around the white coated planet. "Well now that is a beautiful site!"

"Sir, I'm going to have to ask who you are and what your doing here". The guard asked trying to maintain his polite nature. "Our systems registered your ship as bring made of elements not found on this planet".

"What planet would that be?" The Doctor asked.

"I knew it... Your from another world" one of the younger guards stated, excitement in his voice. "With your help we can win this war!"

The doctors face turned colder than the surrounding snow. "War?" He shook his head "young man, and trust me I say that with a lot of gravity given my own age, war is something I have had my fill of. I don't want to know where I am or when I am... I won't help you". He turned and walked back into the bunker. Two guards turned to follow when the youngest pulled the commander back "sir, I scanned him against our data base. Including the data base we took from the crashed alien vessel several years ago". The commander nodded impatiently "and?".

The young man smiled "he is a time lord".

The doctor remembered the horrors of war as he walked back to his Tardis, suddenly wishing he had stayed with the dragon. "You seem like good men, you honestly do. But I can promise you that this war, any war. Whatever started it... It isn't worth it".

The commander, stepped forward "you think we don't know that? We don't want this life. It's the life that's been forced on us. I never wanted to be a soldier, I wanted to be a medic. I wanted to heal people but I was forced into war. Can you imagine that sir".

The doctors face turned sad " yes. Yes I can". He placed a hand on his shoulder "but I've seen my wars. And I'm not a weapon you want to use". He turned to go into the room his Tardis was in. "Let me in please".

The youngest soldier stepped forward "of course sir. I just need to check you for virus and radiation since you went to the surface before I can open that door. You did land in our food storage after all". The device rubbed over the doctors skin, causing a slight tingle. Then the guard opened the door.

The doctor opened his Tardis "what are your names?" He asked. The commander stepped forward "I'm Paisley. These are Cuzco and Foster". The doctor smiled "I managed to leave my war behind me. I hope one day you can do the same.

The doctor closed the door and whisked away. He walked around his Tardis scratching his arm. It itched badly. He looked, and noticed an indentation. "They took a skin sample!" He shouted. He grabbed onto the Tardis handle trying to reverse it back but it stuttered and refused. "What?" He asked. The place and time was time locked? He couldn't return! He typed in to the memory banks to find out where he had been, and his stomach sank when the name appeared.

Skaro. The home of the Dalek race.

Back on skaro commander Paisley accessed his com. " This is polar base four to command. We have a new DNA sample for the Dalek program. Time Lord DNA".

Several months later...

The young woman sat naked on a cold operating table. She had her arms crossed over her chest and tugged a strand of hair behind her ear while she looked around. “Hello?” She exclaimed rather quietly and felt disoriented. She had no memory of how she had come here nor what had happened before. Still she was aware of herself and looked into the mirroring image of herself in a window. Long, blonde hair and baby blue eyes, a slender face, female curves. So she was obviously female, which almost surprised her. She had half expected herself to be a man and half wished she was a redhead.

“Hello?” She called a little louder and began to look around for something to wear. Her eyes caught a dozen medical instruments and then she looked at the label on her wrist. She read aloud. “J3-NN-Y.” She didn’t know what the number stood for but it looked almost like “Jenny”. She tried to make sense of her name and tried to remember who had last called her Jenny.  She looked at the tag closer. “Alpha version, code 180571, programmed, prototype.”

Jenny rubbed her neck and felt a sting. An image lit up in her mind of a bright light, the electrical humming sound and metallic taste as something was probing the back of her neck and entered her cerebellum. But why couldn’t she remember how she came here? She remembered voices and a face. No, it was many faces and many voices. “I’m Jenny?” She listened to her own voice and was surprised. She had expected to sound like one of those voices.

She slipped off the table and her feet dragged over the cold, tiled floor. She shivered and when she tried to walk away from the operating table she felt the pull of infusion tubes, which she tore off. “Better.” She spoke to herself and liked the sound of her voice. Her head cleared quickly and finally the disoriented feeling faded. She rubbed her eyes and saw a ledger on a small table by the door. She picked it up and ran her fingers over the pages. At first they didn’t make sense, but then the letters seemed to dance and make patterns, which her brain quickly assembled into words.

“Two hearts and several other doubled organs. Quick recovery and resilience to poisons, as well as other environmental influences. Prototype – J3-NN-Y  - only successful offspring of the Doctor. All male versions flawed for unknown reason. Fighting sequences induced and movement patterns programmed...” She stopped reading aloud and scanned quickly over the pages. Quickly she had absorbed all information. She didn’t like the last bits of what it said. She was meant to be a soldier and to breed more soldiers.

Jenny slammed the papers into the corner when she heard steps outside. She hurried back to the operating table and laid down. She closed her eyes. She barely managed to pick up the infusion tube when the door opened and a couple of men in uniforms entered.

“He’s back. Maybe we should get more of his DNA to make a mate for this one.” A finger poked her naked skin. Jenny tried not to move. The first man was young and the way he poked her made her feel uncomfortable. “No, Sergeant, she is a weapon and we should use her for our advantage. If the time lord doesn’t agree to help us out of his free will then we will use her to make him. One way or the other. He is alone after all and she might be the only thing close to family.” Jenny’s mind raced. So someone like her was out there somewhere. “As you wish Commander Cuzco, but I thought that General Paisley wanted to transfer into the Dalek program. Her neuron pathways have already been altered.”

The General shook his head. Jenny peeked at them from under her lashes. It became harder and harder to lie still. Her muscles tensed and in her mind she was already putting down plans down how to take these men down.  After she had taken them down she’d be able to run. She knew she would be able to run. “What a waste to put her into a machine.” The General ran his fingers over her body. Jenny grabbed his wrist. The man gasped, the young commander drew his weapon. “No!” Jenny pulled the General in front of her and the blast hit him right in the chest. His body disintegrated. It gave her enough time to overwhelm the commander though. She knocked the weapon from his hand and her punch landed right on the tip of his jaw. He fell back, knocked out.

She ripped the infusion tube off and quickly undressed him. His clothes fit her loosely, but good enough to let her slip away dressed. She tied him up and left the room. She looked around and then ran. She ran as fast as she could.

Someone else was running too. She heard heavier steps just when she turned a corner. She suddenly stood face to face with someone she knew and didn’t know. It was not the face she expected, but something in her knew immediately who he was. “DOCTOR!”

The Doctor stood, a beard masking his features and strange weapon in his hands. Behind him several Daleks fizzed and sparked. "That's Dad to you". He smiled dropping the weapon and held her tight. A yellow aura flowed from him into her mind, filling the gaps in her genetic memory.

They showed her that she was a clone of him, a Time Lord. They showed her how the soldiers had tried to convince him to join their war, then had stolen his DNA. How he had been time locked out of Skaro, his Tardis unable to return and so he had worked day and night for thirteen years to find a way to catapult himself here. And how by taking his daughter from him... They had brought out the war time doctor one last time.

She stepped back, gasping as she processed the memories into her own brain. "You... You don't have your Tardis?! You came here by way of a time warp slingshot!"

The doctor nodded taking her hand and guiding her through the Dalek remains. "That's right, it's not the most comfortable of ways. I only have a few moments before I am snapped back through time and space". He pushed through a door, several guards laying around on the floor. "Don't worry they are stunned, not killed" though something in his tone said he had considered it.

"Dad, I don't understand how will I escape if...". Her eyes fell on the strange object in front of her. The creaky looking exterior didn't fill her with confidence. It looked like something. "A Volkswagen Van? It's a Tardis isn't it?"

The Doctor nodded "A Time Lord crashed here many years ago, it's been sat here since. I don't have much time, you must meet me on a planet called Free World... In the year..." And then with a flash he was gone. Jenny took a deep breath. Again, she was alone. But this time she had memory's. And among those memory's of his was something she hadn't noticed at first. It was something that, instead of remembering she could feel. It was love. His love for her had kept him searching for a way to save her. And with that love she knew she wasn't alone.

She leapt inside her Tardis, and eyed the controls, so strange and yet so familiar. "Okay baby, let's head to Free World! Time period.... Well, let's start at the very beginning" she yanked back the lever "it's a very good place to start!"

Prologue: How Jenny met Seven

The controls of the Tarids hummed and Jenny looked at them with curiousity. Something deep in her knew exactly which button to press and which lever to pull. She didn′t know why or how - well, she did know, that her dad′s memories were part of her DNA now. At least the bit he was able to share in such a short time before the time wrap slingshot pulled him back into his timeline. But it was reassuring to see how the lights went on and ancient circuits sprang back to life. This Tardis must have had been stuck here on Skaro.

She was surprised it hadn’t been taken apart or discovered. Her dad, the Doctor, had discovered it of course. And now she was in it. She had to leave before they found out that she was gone. The main drive gave off a comforting wailing sound and the whole Tardis began to shake. She had managed to take off. “First thing first. Free World… time unknown… early… very early…” She manipulated a few knobs and kicked a circuit to wake it up.

“BLIMEY!” She heard a male voice yelling from one of the corridors. She let go of the panel and hurried down the corridor to find an old, small man with fuzzy white hair and dressed in an old bath robe on a large bed, surrounded by robots. He leaned up to sit and looked rather frail. He looked at Jenny with a shock. “Doctor?”

Jenny shook her head. “No, Jenny. The Doctor’s daughter.” The Tardis shook and stumbled through time and space. Jenny held on to the doorframe, but the old man was knocked out of bed and hit his head against the floor. “I’m sorry!” Jenny exclaimed. She let go of the frame and hurried to tend to the old man. “I didn’t know this Tardis was still inhabited. I’m not sure my dad knew that either.”

The old man groaned and looked at her with tired eyes and confusion. “The Doctor has a daughter?”

Jenny nodded. She tried to help him up. “And you are?”

He scratched his head. “I forgot. I can’t remember. I haven’t been able to get up and leave this planet. Tardis took care of me. Good girl, she is. But soon she’ll be alone. Well, maybe now she won’t.”

Jenny looked at him and noticed that his legs wouldn’t move. He looked down and nodded. “I broke my spine while landing on Skaro. I managed to lock myself in and avoided getting dragged into this war. Not that I would have been of much use.” He smiled at her.

She looked confused. “But why didn’t you just regenerate? I mean, you could have fixed this.” She pointed at his legs then hoisted him back up into his bed.

The old time lord shook his head. “No, this is my last regeneration. I stayed locked in here for nearly a hundred years. Afraid of dying alone and afraid of letting my Tardis sit here. But now you’ve come.”

She had just managed to place him comfortably onto the bed when the Tardis hit ground with a thud. Jenny toppled over and looked down at the old man. “We must have arrived in Free World.” He nodded. “Good. Once I am gone, she’ll be yours. I just have one last wish – I don’t want to die alone.”

Jenny swallowed hard. “I’ll be here. But I need to check the outside. If we are lucky then I am not just in the right place, but the right time also. My dad is waiting for me.” She smiled a little brighter at the possibility. “I’m sure the Doctor can help.”

She made sure the old time lord was comfortable before she went outside. She set up a small camp and just when she was finished a stranger appeared out of nothing.

This is how Jenny met Seven. And what their adventures are and how she’ll find her dad again is a tale for another day.

Free World Event: The Wedding of Philip and Kaya Temp'elar.

Free World Event: The Wedding of Philip and Kaya Temp'elar.

(This event is written by the writer of Philip, with the permission of all involved. It is set several years in the past and chronologically is prior to Philip and Kaya assuming leadership of JkotoanT)

"It's a big day" came a voice from behind Philip. He turned to see his soon to be father in law, Seven Temp'elar and on instinct bowed. Seven smiled and waved away the understandable formality.

Philip had come into the life of both Seven and Seven's adopted daughter Kaya as a squire and aid in Camelot. He had risen through the ranks quickly for his hard work commitment and loyalty to the Queen Morgan and the Knights of Camelot, Seven himself included. But it was to Lady Kaya that he had shown a deep devotion. A devotion that had turned into love and eventually a relationship.

"We've gone over this Philip. Your going to be family. When you agreed to take Kaya's name, my name and become a Temp'elar any could of conduct compelling you to bow to me or anyone in my family ended".

Philip nodded "your right of course Sir. It looks wonderful doesn't it?" Philip dressed in a simple yet stunningly tailored black suit looked out if the window into the courtyard of Camelot. The ceremony itself was set to take place in one of the main halls and yet the courtyard was decorated in preparation for a spectacular feast and event.

"Kaya may not be royalty, but she deserves this more than anyone". Seven turned to leave a smile on his lips "you both do".

Below a young Calcifer Temp'elar stood as guard to the main hall. It was one of his first official duties as a candidate to be trained as a knight and along with it being a special event for his sister he was determined to do his part flawlessly. Some of the guests, mostly family had already arrived and were seated inside the large wooden hall. Snow, Krauss, Liam and Sera all had taken their seats. The young Neko, Luna was with them but pacing slightly. She wasn't used to being at big events like this and certainly not without her Master, Cals father Seven.

"You look very smart Mr. Temp'elar". Cal turned suddenly to see Queen Morgan smiling at him. She reached forward straightening his sash. "Keep this up and you'll be training to be a knight in no time at all". Cal blushed a little but nodded. "Yes your highness!" He shouted a little too loud. She chuckled "well, at ease. The guests are starting to filter through and we have some very special guests from outside of the kingdom too".

Away from the hustle and bustle of the arriving guests, panicking caterers and proud families, Kaya Temp'elar sat in a tower across the far side of the castle. Well shaded it provided her a cool and relaxing place to prepare for her big day. While She was tended to with last minute touches by a number of servants she already looked the picture of beauty and perfection.

"I hope you do not mind me stopping by before the event". Her father approached from behind. "I wanted to give you something". He handed her a small golden ring with a cross on it. "I have had them made for each of our family but on this day I wanted you to be the first to wear it". She blushed and jumped up hugging him. Seven let his eyes close then released her. He handed her a box "this one is for Philip, but it seems fitting that you be the one to bring him into the family". As Seven walked away the beaming Lady Kaya returned to her preparations. She was soon to be a married woman. And whilst her nerves were evident, so was her joy.

"Introducing, the Osiris family" The young herald duties announced as Anubis Osiris arrived in the hall with his children's. Most of his children ran forward to see their friends from other kingdoms, however Ambrosia stayed nearby him as he left a gift on the table.

"The representatives of the Viking Nation, The Evo family". A tall man and women appeared through the door, the man sporting a long beard and neither sporting a smile. The women turned to her son, a young man of around seventeen. "stay close Agnar. We are here to represent our people, nothing more".

"The representative of Japan, Queen Kury. The young and newly crowned monarch entered with a smile and yet looking no less powerful than the Vikings. She had her own reasons for being here, as well as the celebrations.

"Representing the underwater kingdoms, Princess River and her brother Prince Cove" the two young looking mer folk in human form took to there seats a majesty about them both.

"The Knights of Camelot, and her Royal Highness, Queen Morgan". Queen Morgan walked towards the front of the room her Knights flanking either side, excluding Seven who had far more important duties.

"Please welcome, the groom, Born in Japan now residing here in our fair kingdom, Philip of Camelot". Philip walked towards the alter, his eyes greeting each of the guests one by one. He wore a simple suit though beautifully trailered. Between his birth in Japan and his long standing time in Camelot he had no shortage of design options for a suit. However he wanted his look to be as reserved as possible. Today was a day for his bride to shine. For all of the guests from across the world to revel in her beauty and see her as the perfect flower she was. He took his place, looking up at Queen Morgan.

Finally to majestic funfair Queen Morgan spoke "ladies and gentlemen, visitors from all around our world, please stand for the bride, Lady Kaya Temp'elar".

The guests stood turning to see a proud Seven walking by the hand his daughter. Kaya was a picture of perfection. Extravagant wonder and sweet simplicity in one. Her dress was red and flowing a bold reminder of her vampire roots. Her dress had clear oriental designs as well as traditional medieval aspects found all around Camelot. Slight gasps and sounds of appreciation fill the room as Seven, with one final squeeze released her hand into Philips.

Queen Morgan gave them both a smile. She had been asked to keep the formalities to a minimum by the couple and did so. "Please one and all, be seated. Today we gather with friends and family as well as visiting guests from all around to witness the joining of two people that are the definition of true love. A couple that both contain passion and fierce loyalty, as well as gentleness and kindness. Since the moment I introduced Philip to my dearest Lady Kaya, the look in his eyes told me that he would protect her with his life. Clearly Kaya's father Seven saw the same as he allowed the two to begin courting!" The guests laughed.

"But now we will make this an official commitment from Philip, one that Kaya will be expected to return". Morgan reached down taking the hands of the two and joining them. She wrapped a simple red cloth around it. "This cloth has been embroidered with images key to you both. The cross symbol of the Temp'elar family. The crest if Camelot the nation you called home and Japan, the nation you both were born in. Symbols of your achievements and your struggles and all both are now shared between you both and bonding you together" she tied the cloth knitting their hands together.

"Philip, will you stand by Kaya through good and bad, love and protect her no matter the cost. Will you guide her, treasure her and stand by her side in all ways and forever?"

He turned to face Kaya "I will". He slid the wedding ring on her finger.

"Kaya, will you stand by Philip, give him your strength and support, your wisdom and your love and comfort him through the darkest times?

She looked up to Philip timidly "I will". As she slid the wedding ring on she also slid the ring from her father bringing Philip into the family.

Queen Morgan smiled and took a step back "then I now pronounce you man and wife!"

The crowds erupted in cheers as confetti and flowers fell from the roof and fireworks erupted outside across Camelot. At the back of the hall Queen Kury of Japan smiled and nodded. These where the two people that she had come for, and she would make them the future King and Queen of JkotoanT.

Free World Event: FW announces Seven Temp'elar, Enemy of the State

Free World Event: FW announces Seven Temp'elar, Enemy of the State.

It is with a heavy heart that the council of Free World's Nations are forced to declare our own Seven Temp'elar, and Council member responsible for the Nation of Blackthorn a wanted fugitive. Crimes currently levied against him are:

-instigating the creation of the warship and weapon of mass destruction known as "The Nightmare Child", as well as allowing this to fall into enemy hands.
-aiding the war criminal known as Randolf Blackthorn.
-assaulting a Dragonia task force, including General Dagger Firelight.
-evading arrest and questioning.

With the ongoing war effort against Dark Moon Base and the threat posed by the aforementioned Nightmare Child, many of our defences and assets are focused elsewhere, so a specialised task force will be comprised to capture Seven. If he is seen he is to be considered dangerous if approached, however we believe, and hope that he would not harm others unless provoked.

Until further notice, Blackthorn will be governed over by the Undead Defence Force under the command of Max Cage. We have no reason to suspect any other member of the Temp'elar Family to be involved however in the interest of security all decisions will be decided by the council comprising of Queen Morgan of Camelot, Lady Ambrosia of Dragonia, King Philip of Japan and in matters involving Blackthorn, Captain Max Cage.

We hope that we can resolve this matter soon, however please report any sightings of Seven, likely traveling with Randolf to the council.

Free World Event: Dark Moon declares War on Free World.

Free World Event: Dark Moon declares War on Free World.

My name is Zero Blackthorn, but I am known here as Sith Lord, Darth Void. I speak on behalf of the Darkness. You have known us. We have lived among you on Free World since the dawn of time.

I am the brother of Seven Temp'elar and the founder of The Blackthorn family.

Darth Raptor is the Sith Lord from another reality that gave us each the ability to use the force.

Darth Ayame grew within Camelot, your own ranks and betrayed you, allowing us to infiltrate your Academy murdering your next generation in the process.

Randolf Blackthorn is the boogeyman of your world. The most intelligent human that ever lived.

We are the Darkness. Several months ago we used methods that will be revealed in time to have your own scientists create a ship, utilising tech from Darth Raptors reality along with tech from an ancient species long dead known as the Borg. This ship became known as 'The Nightmare Child' and is a living vessel capable of producing its own defences, and conquering whole worlds. Even as I write this it is creating thousands of droids and ships that will serve us.

I say this because as you know, we are now in possession of the nightmare child and with it successfully took control of Dark Moon Station. We have had a foothold on this moon for longer than you can ever imagine. Many of its people have been working for us and those that are not are our prisoners.

We took the moon. We will take free world. Every attack you make on the moon, five of your people here will die. We orchestrated the Viking war. We orchestrated the war of the dead. We have been testing you, understanding you. And even now we are among you.

Free world is at war from the sky and from within. This is declaration of war. And before it ends I promise you that people will die and you will learn the truths that will haunt you forever, under our rule.

Signed:

Zero Blackthorn
Randolf Blackthorn
Ayame
Darth Raptor

Free World Event: Heather named captain of The Eternity.

Free World Event: Heather named captain of The Eternity.

When Heather arrived at the warehouse at an undisclosed location she was likely quite nervous. Seven, who had brought her here reassured her several times that their was no reason to worry however asking her to wear a blindfold and be sedated for secrecy reasons was enough to alert anyone.

"Come on we are here". Still blindfolded he led her through and finally removed the blindfold. They stood an a massive facility that seemed to big to be hidden. Towering over them was the skeletal structure of something that looked similar to the Free World Starships already in service, most especially the wishseeker.

Along side Seven stood Lucy Sterling, the administrator to the leaders of Free World's Nations and in the background hundreds of people working on the craft. "Heather this is 'The Eternity'. It is Free World's first ever time ship, designed in part with help from your friend The Doctor. He had one request in helping us. He requested you be a member of its crew. However I would like to go one better. Heather, on this date I name you the future Captain of the FWTS Eternity" he passed her the ID and badge. "Congratulations". He turned to walk but stopped turning back "oh and by the way... Happy Birthday".

The End

(Written by Seven for Heather)
