Olwë had been busy the last few months trying to secure Alfheim and that meant the ice mountains and it's fallen kingdom. Olwë had spoken to one of his granddaughters Bráma about how to save face for Nan her twin sister of running away and abandoning her duties of royalty. Without telling his daughters and more importantly Amora who was the queen of all the nine now he wanted this deal to go through and the past with Nik and his granddaughter Asa was murky at best. Even the three children he had with Princess Asa where not allowed to be heirs to any throne. 

So after speaking with  Bráma and Nik both he got them to both agree on marrying it would cement Nik as the king or the north in Alfeim like his father before him and now  Bráma would be a Queen and it would more or less take the spotlight of Nan and her adventurous lifestyle which he disapproved greatly. The spot where he had the couple meet him where old ruins of the ice mountains his brother Amroth was to bare witness to this union and he had silenced his brother on saying anything at all. The air was warm thanks to spring and even the snow had melted enough for the green to show though. Olwë stood next to Nik and his brother waiting for his granddaughter to walk towards them.
